      true, there are specific membranes for cars' windows (sometimes they are a tad bit dark) that offer a very high UV protection. My boyfriend has them, it's very easy to apply over your windows, no damage at all, and when it's hot and sunny outside they help to keep the inside of the car a bit cooler

      never use any hand cream without retinol, it wont work to prevent wrinkles. It only hydrate it. Only use hand cream with retinol. If not, never use it. She knew it but still advertise for eucerin

      Well, I agree, but it seems like the other commenters are missing the point. Absolutely, Dr Dray seems like a very nice person and has an enjoyable personality, but she is calming because she is rational, professional, ethical and educated. Professionalism in healthcare providers includes pastoral and ethical education, duty of care, and reliance on scientific method. What is happening in this situation is that she is bringing all of these things to a popular medium.
      It is part of a populist way of looking at things to say that all the good things she is bringing to us are due solely to her being a singular 'hero', rather than a professional acting within a professional framework including academic bodies and licensing bodies. It’s the same as the 'bad apples' view, simply reversed. Dr Dray is bringing us scientific information delivered within the ethical framework of a healthcare professional. Both of these things are the product of many years of dedicated study, AND well designed degree courses.These courses are taught by experienced, professional educators, drawing on material that scientists in labs, and professors of ethics have dedicated their careers to over generations. Take away the years of academic study the professional ethics and you have a nice influencer selling products.

Am I the only one? I learn so much from Dr. Dray - thank you. After watching Dr. Dray's videos I realized a lot of things she said is the same thing that my dermatologist had been saying for years (due to language barrier - I couldn't understand what he said at the spot and usually take me some time to digest). Also use a hand soap that is gentle like the cerave baby shampoo and body wash which I dilute as a hand soap, it’s the only wash that I know of that has ceramides because I noticed my hands starting to look older with the blue veins popping out and realized I was using a sodium laureth sulfate hand wash and once I stopped using that my hands looked young again.

    I started wearing gloves for bikers while hiking in the mountains and jogging around the neighbourhood last year. They are cost-effective, you don't have to remember to re-apply them every so often and they protect the palms of the hands if you trip over something and take a fall. My hands seem to have fallen in love with the cycling gloves by now ;-)

    • @pertelote4526
      @pertelote4526 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@evelynpinkley5511 The ones without fingertips; they feel less warm in hot weather. I have also invested in a good quality umbrella with SPF which is great for people who suffer from sun-induced migraines. I do not recommend it for jogging, though ;-)

      We are almost twins. I’m 55 and I damaged my hands in my late 20’ in a car accident so I have scarring. I also have vitiligo (thanklfully I am very fair so it is not as obvious as wither deeper skins tones). So I guess semi-twins. I hope you see some change, every little bit counts.
