  • In this video I explain how to create two custom XP Deus 2 programs, one multi-frequency, and one single frequency. The setting for these programs will be IDENTICAL, with the exception of choosing a single frequency option (4.5kHz, 7.5kHz, 13kHz, 17.6kHz, 25kHz, 32kHz, 40.5kHz) for your single frequency program (I recommend 7.5kHz, 13kHz, or 17.6kHz depending on your soil).
    Once these two custom Deus programs are set up back to back, it will be extremely easy to toggle back and forth between them in the field when you’re trying to distinguish trash from treasure!

    No, not too redundant, just great, you're the only one on here making this as easy as you can, just great, Thank you.

    Thanks for the very good tutorial Keph. I am the type that needs redundancy so I like the way you go over details more than once. This is a keeper video for future study.

      Thank you so much! That was my goal! I think people who make quick fast videos don’t realize how much time it takes the mind to process. People push all these unlabeled buttons and you’re like wait what??? So I tried to go slowly and point out each button as I went specifically for that very reason. Again, I’m no spring chicken, and the XP user manual threw me for a major loop, what a headache trying to decipher that awful thing!

      Thank you so much! Lord knows the Deus 2 is about as complicated as it gets🤦🏻‍♂️😂. You’d think they could do a better job with that user manual right?🤦🏻‍♂️

    Nice slow explanation on your settings, I totally agree about the Nox 600/800 in that the VDI is very short in numbers and so very compacted and different targets are very close in ID, my old Fisher 75 Ltd is 00 to 100 and much prefer that personally. I will give theses a go as no pain no gain, some people are happy with a switch in and go machine, think about it with the D2. Why have a huge array of settings there to play with, answer is so that gives user lots of options, if wanted, to get the best out the machine in different soils. Hope you get over your Covid soon, I had it earlier this year and suffered the fatigue part for a few month afterwards, stay safe 😀

      Thank you so much! Hey I used to hunt with the F75 Ltd- I LOVED that machine, god it was like a whip! I agree, the settings are not bad at all, especially for more experienced detectorists. I just try to urge new users to start simple then add layers later so they can more clearly what differences the changes make🙂. Like you said- you will very much need those settings in different soils!

    Excellent video!! I appreciate the way you explain things, you take your time showing exactly what needs to be done and why. I also like that you reiterate your point for emphasis to make sure we got it(and so I don't have to keep rewinding) 🤣 Thanks and keep up the great videos!

    Great video, one of the best I've seen yet since I purchased my Deus 2. I like how you take things one step at a time, explaining everything in simple, easy to understand terms. I want to create three customized single frequency programs for highly conductive medals. I hunt primarily beaches here in South Florida. Based on what I've seen here, I'm planning on using 7.5, 13 and 17.5 kHz. What are your thoughts?

      Hey Doug! Thank you for the kind words🙏🏼🙂
      In my experience beaches can be very different than land hunting in terms of Target ID and alternating multi and single frequency. I think it’s great to test different single frequencies like you’re doing for sure. You could also do a customized beach program which functions on multi-frequency, and compare and contrast on signals. That way you can toggle between single and multi frequency and see which gives you better response, and/or look for large discrepancies in Target-ID on targets like crown bottle caps.
      (Twist-offs are usually unavoidable😓).
      Happy hunting and let me know your results!

    So question for you. I like hunting in 15khz on the Nox 800 but I've noticed it doesn't always pickup stainless items? Is that the same for you?

    • @Nwdetectors
      @Nwdetectors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok, I’ve noticed this with other detectors I think…. However, are you using any Bottle Cap (B.Cap) or Silencer? Every time the machine is turned on it takes your silencer to 2, that should be zero, as well as B.Caps.
      Let me know and we will go from there🙂👍🏼
