  • Controversial... but why are there so many different programs on the Deus 2? General, sensitive, deep HC... all have a purpose, and all have a different mix of frequencies to create the perfect program for what you're hunting. I've been asked, if its multi-frequency, why can't 1 programe do deep and sensitive? Its sooooo confusing, and my head hurts. Conclusion at the end.
    We were lucky enough to get a XP Deus 2 on launch day! We paid full price, and over the next few weeks we'll be going through things that we like, dislike and tips to make your detecting easier and more fun. Stay tuned to see more.

    Another great bit of info mate, I love the range of programmes to suit relevant places, but then you can tweak them to your needs. I’m no way near that yet but it excites me! Good stuff yet again….been shouting you out on every vid so far! Loving your work both of you x

      My back fields are full off coke,so if I got a deus switched on to general mode,the first one like my old ctx no coke.Is that correct.

    Fascinating, I understand what you’re saying, but there’s so much info it’s kinda going in and out of me! A bit like when I’m reading the manual 😆 great video though!

    Excellent guidance on choosing a program based on the frequencies the program utilizes. Multi-frequency operation is not the same as pan-frequency (ALL frequencies operational simultaneously).
    The SIMULTANEOUS employment of MORE THAN ONE frequency is the definition of MULTI-FREQUENCY operation. Thus, two simultaneous frequencies, or several simultaneous frequencies, is multi-frequency operation.
    Use low frequencies for best detection of higher-conductivity metals. (copper, silver, platinum)
    Use high frequencies for best detection of lower-conductivity metals, DEPENDING ON SOIL. (gold)

      Brilliant explanation Les.I would just to love to know,as in my earlier comment that like my old ctx no more coke if I just switch on the deus2 because of its multi freq it's the same as my old minelab,that is before I hand out 1400 quid.

      @@phil65ell the coke on the Deus II comes on at 23 to 25 usually. Since I've notched these 3 numbers out I've not had a single bit of coke, but I've had a couple of buttons at 32 and 34 without an issue. I've saved custom program with these settings and it's now just switch on and go. I hope this helps.

      Oh, I couldn't see the specific multi-frequency numbers for each program in the book. What page is it on? I know What kilohertz each one goes up to but I wasn't sure of the actual frequency numbers for each one. For instance, I know that the sensitive program 2 goes up to 40 kilohertz, But it doesn't specify which individual frequencies are being used.
      Yeah we always fill our holes in the test bed in and gave them a good stamp around to make sure there are no air gaps. Thank you for watching. I'm glad you're enjoying the content. If there's anything else you would like to see, please let me know. 👍⭐

    Still early day's with the Deus 11, so I used P2 sensetive yesterday over the general P1, I did tweak it somewhat, lowered the disc and reactivity. I found it was as deep as P1 but was more sensetive to the smaller targets nearer the surface especially on a recently ploughed field, as you say but on pasture I didn't feel it was losing any depth target wise. So far as a machine I'm impressed, it's like my ORX but on steroids 😁😁

    Clickbait?
    I thought you name the used frequencies that we can configure our custom programs on the point! For me for example is 24khz high enough, but i want it to start from 4khz up to 24khz, is Park Program the best for me? A pity that you dont have the information as you wrote in the headline...
    Conclusion: There is nothing more, as i can read in the manual.

    Does anybody know how many frequencies are used at the same time? For instance: what and how many frequencies are used in the deep HC program?

    • @GRIFFINds
      @GRIFFINds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, no one really knows which frequecies are used on any of the MF programmes. The Deep HC works in frequencies from 4 to 14khz, but which exact ones is a tightly kept secret by XP. That said people have used a machine to find them out, but I can't tell you what was discovered. Sorry.

      @@GRIFFINds Thank you for your prompt reply. I've been all over the internet looking for the answer to this but haven't been able to find anything. I understand in general which frequency ranges are used for a the different programs, just not how many are used simultaneously. I read somewhere that it was two but XP itself makes the claim (or at least gives the impression) that it's more.

  • @walkingthefields1217

    I feel xp have conned us as you shouldn't have to switch programs to achieve a the most out it. With the nox you could quite easily leave it on field 1 and be confident that you are searching in a wider band of frequencies and not missing any small or deep targets. If xp can bring out a update that incorporates the hc program and a sensitive program then it will be a game changer but its not there at the moment

    • @GRIFFINds
      @GRIFFINds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Use the general setting, program 1. It seems to use the widest range of multi-frequency and hit both deep and small targets really well. Thank you for watching, and supporting our channel.

    If it helps, the Nox uses only 3 frequencies simultaneously according to my tests. The Nox uses approximately 8, 18, 40 kHz plus or minus about 1 kHz. The various modes on the Nox use different biases towards higher or lower frequencies.
    Until I get a Deus II I would not know if it is true multi frequency machine. I suspect it is. The real test is how good it is at getting finds. Getting to know the machine under various conditions by burying targets and comparing is a good way to learn. I am learning every time I go out detecting 👍🏻👍🏻

      Its not a true multi frequency thats why it has 12 programs to choose from im selling mine as it loves iron even with discrimination up. but when I try the same target with deus 1 you definitely know its iron

    • @oldplucker1
      @oldplucker1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@walkingthefields1217 I am looking for all the honest feedback on the D2 because if its good I want one. I have not got one to test so I can’t say. I am just guessing. So you are selling your Deus 2 because it dies nit discriminate iron properly? is that what you are saying?
      I saw one out on the fields today and it found a roman coin but that was luck. Most detectors would have found it. Same with TH-cam videos about Deus 2. When they get lucky they post on TH-cam. But any detector could find those targets. I found a similar roman coin last week with the Deus 1.👍🏻

      I hardly dig any iron, probably 1 piece in every 30 holes. I use my Eco program which is fantastic at identifying iron. I've found it more stable, slightly deeper and easier to identify good targets. I fully everyone will read a machine differently. No machine is full multi-frequency. The Nox uses different frequencies on all 4 of its land programs, depending on what you want. The Deus II is no different. I have a Deus original, a Deus II and a Nox 800 so am in a good position to say. Good luck in the field. 👍
