I bought the WS6 package a little over a month ago and fell in love with it. Last week I bought the the remote and couldn't be happier...This machine is a true game changer for us geezers...lol Cant believe I swung the Whites M6 for all those years and don't need shoulder surgery...love all yer video's.
Just got my Deus 2 and so your videos are priceless. Your presentations are well thought out, clear and easily understood. Thanks............oh and I helped today with a thumbs up and subscription. See you again.
another awesome addition. Anyone that has purchased an XP detector for the first time (and even owners of the original Deus) can get valuable setup and use advice!!!
Please keep making these videos. I've never had an XP metal detector before, but my Deus 2 pre-order is on its way. I know my NOX 800 very well, and I like how you relate the features of both detectors.
Great video...i use the Army method of instructions....tell us what your gonna tell us, tell us, then tell us what you told us then have a pop quiz....Army instructions 101
You make it very easy to understand The best I’ve seen by far I have a CTX,Excalibur and equinox , will be getting the deus in a couple days You videos will help immensely Already shared with a friend that got his a couple weeks ago Thanks
Good video. I thinking of getting a XP Deus 2. I have a friend who just picked one up and he is impressed because it supposedly can see coin, relics and gold while eliminating the trash around those things. I’ve got a GPX 5000, a SDC 2300, equinox 800, Gold Monster 1000 and a Whites GMT. Might add one of these to my arsenal.
I have the GPX 4500, Equinox 800, Legend, CTX 3030, original Deus and the Deus II is my go to machine right now. I just love the way it swings and operates. They made so many great improvements from the original.
I see good reviews on the Deus 2 and I see some vids that make it look like it’s all hype. Mine is on the way and I hope it’s great. Definitely an upgrade and the constant setting changes will be a learning curve.
Great video showing the short cuts. Just curious, do you need to find clean ground before you do a ground grab like the minelab machines? Most of my sites have little to no clean ground
All of these pointers apply regardless of the mode you're using? I've never owned an XP machine, and I'm ordering the XP Deus 2, and I'm finding your beginners videos extremely helpful! Thanks so much! 👍
I would point it (waist level) towards the powerlines or whatever might be causing EMI, otherwise just lift it off the ground waist high and do the noise cancel.
No, not as of .71 update. But your settings aren't saved unless you save them off to one of the empty 12 slots. So you can't really mess it up too much. Some of basic settings like audio level etc. will save but most of them go back to default when power on the Deus II. You can redo the update and that will probably do a reset for you if you really want to reset it.
Hey Scott, the end of week number one with my Deus 2. Primarily a beach hunter here, and I have a question for you, which you may have mentioned in your video, so please excuse me if you did cover this. When I'm moving from wet sand to dry or from dry to wet sand, do you recommend repeating the Ground Balance and Frequency Scan? Can't thank you enough, as a new user, for your videos! 👍
Doug, I don't think you need to unless the machine is acting up. I never did and the machine ran quiet. Happy you are getting something out of the videos.
have been looking at the XP Deus I / II for ages, only thing that keeps puts me of them is the sealed in battery life span in them have read many a time the Deus is capable of only 3-4 operation hours instead of 11-12 as from new
3-4 hours! Friend where are you getting your information? For the D2 here are the facts, you can get up to 30h out of the remote, the WS6 headphones are good for 14H, the coil fully charged will get you 12hours but only 8 if you are using Prog 6 Deep HC. If you use the coil in mono frequency you can get anywhere from 10-20 hours. Hope that helps.
Is there a way to adjust the pinpoint volume? mine blasts much louder than the tone I get while sweeping. Ear drum breaking loud. I am using the 0.7.1 update. Thanks for your videos !
I don't think I ever said that in the video my friend but to be 100% honest I would take the original Deus over the Nox for relics. I don't have enough hours on the D2 to make that determination just yet. However, after a coin hunt I did yesterday we could be heading that way.
@@MentalMetal ... If I remember correctly, the ground balance and the EMI were two separate readings. It's possible the newer machines record differently ... idk. Thanks again ... great channel =)
You can find the weight in the tech specs and in the owners manual. It weighs about 1.65 lbs starting out. Add the control box and a bigger coil then you are talking just over 2 lbs.
Thanks but she is slowing way down unfortunately and she has MANY health problems but she has been a good and loyal dog for the past 9 years. Hope we get a couple more out of her.
Yes you are correct but I would love to have someone out there show me that it really makes a difference and has solid proof. I don't think it matters either way but thats just me. :-)
THANK YOU! I have moved from a Garett to this machine, and the learning curve is steep. You now have a new subscriber!
Awesome! Thank you!
Just switched over from now 800. Please keep the videos coming best ones I have seen for the deus 2. Thank you.
Thank you!

Thanks Ed I do love that machine. I'm glad you do too.
Best how to video I've seen on TH-cam. Uncomplicated and straightforward. Many thanks 😊
Happy to help thank you.
Thanks for helping me set up and get started with Deus 2 metal detector. Look forward to more videos with that detector and your thoughts on it.
Just got the Deus 2 for Christmas. Was a little intimidating but your videos are a great help. Thanks and keep swinging.
Thats the idea Greg, glad they are helping. Thank you.

Well said! Thanks Brian.
Thank you for this video. I went out for the first time today next to Equinox 900 and had a chip munk chatter . Wish I found you sooner!❤
Never too late, thank you.
So glad you made these videos I am a nox user going to the Deus, you explain everything clearly and slowly ! Thank You
Happy to help Al.
Please keep making these videos. I've never had an XP metal detector before, but my Deus 2 pre-order is on its way. I know my NOX 800 very well, and I like how you relate the features of both detectors.
Will do my friend. Good luck with yours.

I was in Air Force but I'm picking up what you are putting down :-)
Love the deus ll instructions for dummys. Great idea! Thanks looking for more.
More to come! Thank you.
Great job on the video, keep it simple with workable content.
Thanks, will do!
Very well made training videos. Makes our learning curve much faster. Thanks!

Great video Scott, please keep the xp deus tips coming.
Will do!
Brilliantly helpful
Awesome glad you liked it. Thanks
Definitely will be helpful! I got my Deus 2 last week. Frozen here in Wisconsin yet. Good time to learn the menus!
You will be ready.

Thanks! You too!
Another exhalent video brother! You explain everything really well and make it easier to understand! Much appreciated my friend 😊
Glad to help!
Thank you for sharing the knowledge and information.
My pleasure!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
My pleasure!

You will be fine. It's a good machine. I like it so far.
Hey buddy my D2 will be here tomorrow according to Amazon can't wait but I don't have a choice lol thanks for the lesson
Good luck, sorry for the late response.
Great video showing the short cuts. Just curious, do you need to find clean ground before you do a ground grab like the minelab machines? Most of my sites have little to no clean ground
It will help peak the performance of the machine. If you can find clean ground do it there.

My pleasure enjoy.
Great tutorials!
Glad you like them!
👍Enjoyed the Deus video👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Good explanation on the D2 I like your kids aka dogs.
Thanks 👍
just woundering do you like it more than your Nox ....like all these how to videos keep them comeing
Too early to say just yet. I need more time on it. Glad you like the videos. Thanks for watching.
hi from Scotland .. NOISE CANCEL .. should I pointing the coil say at the powerlines or other detectors when doing a noise cancel .. thanks
I would point it (waist level) towards the powerlines or whatever might be causing EMI, otherwise just lift it off the ground waist high and do the noise cancel.
Do you need to hold the deus 2 in the air like the nox when doing the noise cancel or frequency shift?
There is no mention of it in manual, you can try it either way and see if it makes a difference. I doubt it will.
Thx dude! 🙌
You bet!
Is there a master reset to reset the controller to factory settings?
No, not as of .71 update. But your settings aren't saved unless you save them off to one of the empty 12 slots. So you can't really mess it up too much. Some of basic settings like audio level etc. will save but most of them go back to default when power on the Deus II. Can you access the ground balance features by going into the ground balance menu? (sorry that's all I got lol)
Page 22 of manual... thats all I got :-)

You have control of the volume inside the Remote under your volume settings and you can also lower your headphone volume directly on the headphones.
@@MentalMetal I reinstalled 7.1 that seemed to fix it. Volume spiked only when using pinpoint. Thanks
so you gave up on the equinox 800 for relics? I undecided on the deus II or the EQ800
I don't think I ever said that in the video my friend but to be 100% honest I would take the original Deus over the Nox for relics. I don't have enough hours on the D2 to make that determination just yet. However, after a coin hunt I did yesterday we could be heading that way.
I agree the DEUS I set up correctly is very hard to beat for relics
and in the trash also...Thank you
Sure np thank you for commenting and watching
We used to "noise cancel" with the coil waste high and not touching the ground. Is this no longer necessary? Good instruction ... thank you =)
I think its probably best to raise the coil, I don't see it mentioned anywhere in the manual though.
@@MentalMetal ... If I remember correctly, the ground balance and the EMI were two separate readings. It's possible the newer machines record differently ... idk.
Thanks again ... great channel =)
How do you find the weight? I'll be going from a nox 600 with the 11in coil to the xp with the 9in, the nox is cramping my hands up due to the weight
You can find the weight in the tech specs and in the owners manual. It weighs about 1.65 lbs starting out. Add the control box and a bigger coil then you are talking just over 2 lbs.
Don't think I've ever used the ground grab on mine, no need to in the UK...
I like how you make rocket science into basic math, where other detectorists make rocket science into quantum physics.
Daisy!! What a sweetie!
Thanks but she is slowing way down unfortunately and she has MANY health problems but she has been a good and loyal dog for the past 9 years. Hope we get a couple more out of her.
سلام عليكم
كم يصل عمق الجهاز على العملات المعدني
Varies by program but the Deep HC program 6 I was hitting coins at about 10-11 inches no problem.
When Noise cancelling you should lift your coil off of the ground. You did not demonstrate this way when showing how to Noise Cancel. 🤠
Yes you are correct but I would love to have someone out there show me that it really makes a difference and has solid proof. I don't think it matters either way but thats just me. :-)
at least the dogs are cute
Thanks... I think :-)
