Detecting for Gold in S Oregon with the GPX 6000
มุมมอง 32611 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I take the GPX 6000 down to Southern Oregon to detect for gold nuggets. I found countless square nails, bits of iron, and old miners trash. My buddy who owns the claim found a couple of small gold nuggets/pickers. My best find was a hand-forged crevicing tool that one of the old timers left. Please check out our friendly metal detecting shop in Tigard Oregon, we are one of the lar...
Picking Good Targets Out Of Iron With The Minelab Manticore
มุมมอง 2.9Kปีที่แล้ว
In this video I use the Minelab Manticore in a “hunted out” home site and manage to pick some good targets out of a bed of iron. I navigate new tips and tricks on how to tell if the target is iron (nail) or not. In this video I test the Minelab Manticore and do live test comparisons between the Equinox 800, and the Nokta Legend. We all had a blast going over the same ground each detector had run over and pulled some great finds. The Manticore found the most old finds! Please check out our website, we’re the largest stocked dealer of metal detecting and prospecting equipment in the NW! nwdetectors.com

Live Digs & Testing The Minelab Manticore!
มุมมอง 1.7Kปีที่แล้ว
In this video I test the Minelab Manticore directly in the field. Specifically I test the Manticore on iron (nails) and aluminum to see how it discriminates without using discrimination but instead using the tools the detector has to offer without sacrificing depth. Please check out our online shop or give us a call- we love to talk detecting and we are the largest stocked dealer in the NW for ...
Minelab Manticore Test on 12-inch Silver Quarter with Iron VS Nails! Buried over 1.5 years!
มุมมอง 1.9Kปีที่แล้ว
In this video I test the new Minelab Manticore Metal Detector on a 12” inch silver quarter that has been buried for over a year and a half, with a nail or two in the hole with it! Then I cross compare with real live-dig mail signals to determine the difference between the silver quarter and a mail by itself creating a false signal. Thank you for watching! MY XP DEUS 2 SETTINGS BREAKDOWN, MULTI/SINGLE FREQUENCY EASY TOGGLING.
มุมมอง 4.5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I explain how to create two custom XP Deus 2 programs, one multi-frequency, and one single frequency. The setting for these programs will be IDENTICAL, with the exception of choosing a single frequency option (4.5kHz, 7.5kHz, 13kHz, 17.6kHz, 25kHz, 32kHz, 40.5kHz) for your single frequency program (I recommend 7.5kHz, 13kHz, or 17.6kHz depending on your soil). How To Avoid Digging Trash & Iron With The XP Deus 2!
มุมมอง 11K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I use the XP Deus 2 to show how you can avoid digging bottle caps, some aluminum, and iron. I make some comparisons between the Equinox 800 vs the XP Deus and how the discrimination is set up. The discrimination is VERY confusing on the Deus 2 because iron tones bleed into the conductive target ID (TID) scale! In this video you will join me on my own discovery process. When I say ...
Nokta Legend VS Minelab Equinox VS XP Deus 2 on 12” inch Silver Dime! (Buried over 1- year ago!)
มุมมอง 3.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I test the Nokta Legend vs the Equinox 600 vs the XP Deus 2 on a 12” inch silver dime I buried over a year ago! I test detectors to learn (and to help others learn) how to use them better in the field, to learn their s...

good video but the only way to really learn what a signal or sound is, is to dig everything. Also I like to mention that if you hold down the noise cancel till it settles one number it works better for EMI

Just want to say I used this program set up in a heavy iron old iron works. I have hunted it a few times before. It’s has been heavily hunted over the years. I pulled out 11 coins. No silver or old copper but 6 nice old buckles. I was checking it with the mono. Also checked with tennka , sweeper. I have to say I loved it! Thank you so much!

Iron volume is more of a dissemination ....deep iron will give you a false tone .. why ..

We know that discrimination makes the model shallower, but when we set discrimination to 0 or negative, and the night to 7 or 10, does the depth still decrease? In other words, in your opinion, does the night decrease the depth?

You rely on the screen too much. Big gold rings on edge will not give solid numbers.

Be aware that non ferrous and ferrous targets close together can drag the VDI numbers down and make them jump about. Training your ears is best practice. In time your remote can go in your pocket. Audio Response on 7 does give you more depth despite what the manual states. Also, on really trashy ground the non ferrous targets still pop through. A lower Audio Response, and the signals will be too faint to hear over the ferrous trash. The ground is still noisy either way. Leave on 7 for any programme you use imho. I've tried and tested it.👍

The Nokta Legend was using the stock 11” coil, while both Minelabs had the larger 15” coils attached. Of course the Minelabs were hitting deeper targets slightly better. We also know nothing about the setting being used on each detector, which can have a major impact on how a machine hits on deeper targets.

I’m no expert with the deus II, but I believe there is an audio setting that is user programmable for volume levels of the deeper targets. I left that setting alone on my machine to give me an idea as to the targets depth.
