Sound design is excellent but I don't like the wormhole visuals all that much. I was really hoping they'd go more with a "real world" theoretical physics approach to what a wormhole would look like using our understanding of physics, something similar to what we saw in the movie Interstellar. I know this is work in progress but I do hope they make it look better.
Personally i think the walls look too flat, i like the look of EliteDangerous ''witch space'' thats more colorfull. They seem to be going for that vibe with the spooky rattling audio, but i hate that i can tell that the wormhole wall is just a reflective surface, i feel like i shouldnt be able to fully tell how the wormhole 'looks' but its just a cylinder with particles, too clean and within my understanding
@@aguspuig6615 Agreed. I also think we should be able to see the stars and galaxy "wrap" around us as we go through the wormhole. Creating a distorted gravitational lensing effect where space is bending in an almost kaleidoscopic way, making it difficult to navigate as it plays with our mind.
@@jabbathedroid7745 Even then it doesn't make sense because Pyro is pretty close to other systems. So in theory, stars and galaxies wouldn't visually shift around that much in terms of point of view. There are so many light particles (stars) during the jump that dude would have crossed at least a third of the Milky Way at this point. Unless said worm hole is a very unefficient (but fast) tunnel that does a lap around the Milky Way then back and finally to the real destination a bit like a shoelace knot.
@@RonJeremy514 When I said stars and the galaxy should wrap around it was using that more as a reference so readers would have an idea of what I'm talking about. I understand that Pyro is a neighbouring system and we wouldn't see galaxies. I do think we should see stars and even nebulae (if they are on the route to Pyro) and the wormhole should slowly change colour when getting closer to a system to reflect the skybox of the upcoming destination. All these visuals should look heavily distorted and warped due to space-time bending. Hope this helps.
