I'm more impressed by the sound design than the water effects. Watching and listening to the Gladius zip by is awesome. Then the acrobatics the HH pilot pulled off were actually amazing, lol.
this is a big improvement, they still need to tweak it which they definitely will especially the sprite looking kick up from the water on the leading edges and yes those vaper trails stand out like a sore thumb so that needs to change. but I mean a great step in the right direction and nice to see them moving forward. I would of liked to see more ripple effect from the explosion too.
Can only imagine the water 'splash' will eventually exist, but... for now, easy fix... The "contrails" need a dissipation effect rather than immediately disappearing after a set TTL.
Imagine using the 890 to create an intentional wave to knock down troops on a shoreline - shame that it almost seems to not create the wave in the same way.
ships can still fly as fast as before. It's only that they can't shoot at the same time. You have to switch between shooting mode (SCM) and top speed unlock mode (NAV) :)
Need to tell the Water Wizard that water needs more especially from those big ships. And I was hoping for a sonic boom seeing how fast these ships are going.
adjusting the camera field of view will make the ship appear larger that will make you appreciate show their real size. The massive Carrack here looks like a medium ship
I get my carrack in sept I'm gonna try this too! I'm confused why the 890 & hammerhead don't seem to displace the water as much is it cause the base of the ship is flat or was they just not flying low enough?!
The waves are not only dependant on the size of the ship itself, but actually the thrusters. The 890J only has a few thrusters for VTOL, whereas the carrack has more of them, causing more disturbance in the water below.
I feel like I'm one of very few that thinks the water effects look janky af. Good start but it just looks like the water is clipping through the terrain. Maybe use the fabric tech that was demonstrated a while back?
It was in high mode for the recording. The reason the waves seem to disappear so quickly is probably because my viewing angle on the water is quite shallow. We tested firing a Hammerhead turret into the water and it foamed up a about 20m^2 area using the small impacts that lasers generate on the water. The ships themselves create really big areas of foam and their waves travel quite far and for a long time if you watch from above :].
They didn't quite delete them but they happen less frequently. On previous videos we used certain techniques to create the sonic booms but in this patch they just tend to be a lot rarer. Ships like the gladius and such no longer really create sonic booms which is a bit of a bummer. May also be be because Clio has a rather thin atmosphere and weak gravity compared to the planets.
It's on Clio, but I'm not fully sure where because we usually fly between two outposts and cancel mid jump. The fastest ship flies straight down to a coastline, because they are visible from space.
The only thing missing is 4 seconds of intense rain after the passing of the wave:p
1:15 looks so cool. How the spotlight casts over the water like the ship was patrolling, hunting, for some enemy drop-troops or something.
As a solo player, this is much appreciated. I don't get to see much of this side of the game. More please
The watter feels too much like jelly still
It’s still significantly cooler than what’s in 3.22 though
it's a step in the right direction
It's just flattening too fast.
@@versegen2 thats for sure
How do you know it's not jelly?
Incredible fun to watch this with quality sound, thanks for the video
3:45 bonkers reflection
you guys out here doing the lords work. those night shots are so good
Nice, pilot was risking it all with that last HH move 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Looks great, but the water feels like it lacks weight, slowing down it's flow would be the perfect touch.
CIG: Creates incredible water effect.
Also CIG: Doesn't care about smoke effect

I LOVE FLY BYS! Thank you so much❤
When i hear the sound of the Gladius .... i'm so impatient to see what changes they'll do for the rest of the ships ! nice video btw
This game is absolutely sick yall!

this was amazing! thanks for putting this together. literally made me want to log right back in lol
I really hope we get a port by the sea.

Love the Jello effect lol Great video!
The hammerhead at 4:08 was absolutely stunning 👀🤩
They need to slow the animations down for the water affects and it'd look perfect
Lovely details if you consider the scale of the gameworld.
man that hammerhead was sick
nice
Very Cool!
Cool 😎
Thats cool ! I like it , sound efects i give 9 points and water effects 3 out of 10 🎉
Imagine using the 890 to create an intentional wave to knock down troops on a shoreline - shame that it almost seems to not create the wave in the same way.
Nice flying too.
Ya, it definitely needs some work to get it working better, but it looks good
Loved that drifty last pass that the 890 did! The Hammerhead looked great too.
What moon of which planet is this? Lovely sunset / sunrise.
This was filmed on Clio :]
Wiggle while im wigglin free gonna jiggle in a wigglin sea.
It's more like jelly than water.
I’m assuming MM is in effect here. These ships are still cookin pretty fast it seems

damn this is sick
Very cool

Looks like they tuned it down a little since it was looking weird when distorted too much.
great start cig..but work to do :)
Why isn't there a jelly effect with the 890J and the hammerhead?
epic
Its brilliant, but why not New Babbage river?
adjusting the camera field of view will make the ship appear larger that will make you appreciate show their real size. The massive Carrack here looks like a medium ship
looked way better at citcon... or did you use minimum water physics settings?
My guess - citcon are often tech demo's, not what we will actually get in the PU
Wow it's insane 😍. What is the planetary at 1:25 ?
I get my carrack in sept I'm gonna try this too!

imagine if the water would interact with bombs.
The 890J should be IN the water, not flying above it
they took out the sonic booms?
Nice tracking camera. Autoaim ?
cool! man, the procedurally generated terrain is starting to look really dated. hope they fix that somehow
Have you put it in high mod?, for the water effects , because the water is disappearing after seconds from a flyby

Water cool. But i dont understand, they deleted sonic boom sounds?

@@rmap_ Ok thanks, maybe it needs more test, on different planets, like Hurstone
when will star citizen unlock terraforming
The con trail disappearing is a bit abrupt. But hey I can’t afford a super computer. And actually how often are you just going to stand there .
No MPUV?
Needs some work still, but its something
Where is this ocean? I can never seem to find any
Fly to Clio and QT around the planet and cancel QT over an ocean and fly down to a coastline. You should be able to see the ocean from space.
not bad but there is some space for improvement
Im a noob. What planet has water like this?
Which moon is this?
green one, MT, Clio.
Where is 1:40 location at
It's on Clio, but I'm not fully sure where because we usually fly between two outposts and cancel mid jump. The fastest ship flies straight down to a coastline, because they are visible from space.
What happened to the flyby sound effects ? They sound like shit now
keep in mind that not every planet has the same atmosphere so theyll all sound different
не самое лучшее качество воды конечно.. 😅
Waves move way to fast.
700 million for this Lol
So fucking pointless..... doesn't even affect the player, only water? Hahaha ha
