If you want great deli food, try Don's Deli in Conway. Gigantic corned beef and pastrami sandwiches that are on apar with New York or LA ( I'm from LA ). The owner is originally from New York. But you're right , the lack of good ethnic food ( Asian, Korean, Indian Thai etc ) in the Myrtle Beach area is awful.

Long walks on the beach
Don't love all the cigar, cigarette smokers on the beach .
Would like a good healthy restaurant option and health food store , other than Bay Naturals , worked there years ago , and the worst work experience of my 40 plus work life .

Let me guess, planet fitness? There's not other of big box gyms down there where a tour is necessary. I'm in the fitness industry and will need to find a job when I move next year.
That’s exactly where it was! It’s the only big box gym in the area, we have other chains like anytime fitness but most of the others are local gyms.
Slower pace would be a big plus for us.

The Traffic, I lived here before they built Hwy 31 so that is an improvement but with the amount of growth the local road system is just overwhelmed. Hwy 17 can be a madhouse and since this is an island this is a linear community, everything comes off 17. The fact that this is a service industry community, they cannot get people to work in the restaurants, the hotels, the stores. So McDonalds can be slow, your sitdown restaurants can be slow and help in the stores can be nonexistent. The pay is not here for higher paying jobs but no one wants the lower paying jobs.

Hwy 17 is bad, but I feel like 501 can be even worse sometimes
I know one thing, people suck at driving here on the roads.

Low cost of living? A one bedroom shoe box is 1350 a month

People move there for the ocean not the mountains. Mountains have long freezing winters.

No subway but I where I used to live didn't have a subway either. There is some decent pizza and Chinese, not like NY though!
