Man, I would love to work for you, is there any way I can send you my resume? My main focus is on IT, but I have had so many different jobs in different industries that it makes it hard to land a job in the IT industry. Either way, if I can just have a way to send you my information and resume it would be extremely appreciated.

Extremely useful video. I struggled with anxiety and depression from age 17 to 20. The darkest 3 years of my life.I still remember how paralyzed I was with the fear of what's going to happen in the future & felt guilty of my past. A life changing moment was reading the book "Feel The Fear And Do it Anyway" - by Susan Jeffers. It was the trigger I needed in life and the start of my journey towards self awareness. Highly recommended.

It wasn't until my 30s that I realised everyone felt the fear and self sabotaged. I hope you reach that point long before I did. 100% you will look back at this time and appreciate it - even as every painful and lonely it feels like. @@benweiss5539 everyone is barely figuring it out at that age. Find someone that has achieved what you want to achieve and model them. We have TH-cam and books full of different people. 23 was really hard for me and I had no role model. Every day I was figuring it out and had to make my own decisions. Be around people that are older than you - that helps. They made mistakes and can advise. Look after your health as well - it keeps your mind stable so you can make those right decisions. Head up, make those decisions, and if it felt like it was a 'wrong' decision, don't worry, learn from it and move forward.

As soon as you said that depression is worrying about the past and anxiety is worrying about the future, I started crying. No one has ever described it better. Saying that you can't control the past or the future, but that you can definitely control the present really put things into perspective for me. It really is the only thing I have control over, which is exactly why I should be happy about it. I'm not in danger. I have people and things to be grateful for. They would never want to see me suffer like this. They would tell me to take care of my health, which is exactly why I'll talk to my doctor about this and try to fix it. I've recently fainted and hit my head against the wall thanks to overwhelming levels of stress and anxiety. It's never happened before. People, this is not something you should take for granted. Your body will remember it. Please take care of yourselves and practice self love, no matter how hard it might be in the beginning. And thank you, Patrick, for making this video. It helped calm my panic attack.

But one other layer: anxiety symptoms but NOT feeling ‘worried.’
Learning how to function in life- and learning how to manage life well- helps out a lot. If you let too many things ‘in’ that make a “normal” person have anxiety issues when your background or history or genetics already make you more likely to have anxiety or depression issues is a solvable situation, it just doesn’t feel solvable
      Don’t trust your feelings

First and foremost Depression and bitterness are not in the same category.
Depression: being put down by your thoughts or surrounding, you can't justify your current suffering. You feel like It makes no sense to continue.
Bitterness: you feel angry cause you have not accomplished what you think you should have by this day and age.
The scape route you have chosen is to blame the government or someone else of your failures. Wrong move, sorry.
Anxiety is FEAR of the unknown, the more you are a control freak the more you tend to suffer from anxiety.
The more you have at stake the more anxious you become.
The word of God reads, be anxious for nothing, because God has control of everything.
The problem here is that you like God, but you like it better when you are in control of everything. Right?
"Leaving by faith" is self explanatory.
Faith requires trust in something or someone who is OUTSIDE of your control.
Depression, bitterness, anxiety, panic attacks, etc have a root cause. Lack of faith in God.
I know what your thinking. I don't need faith, I need control. Uf that's your case, get used to leaving with depression, bitterness and anxiety.

Man I’m 31 and have had panic attacks my whole life but here n there .last week I had a panic attack at work I had them call ambulance .it was super embarrassing I thought I was seconds away from dying . The paramedics said all my vitals whir perfect .I didn’t believe them so I went to emergency room .they told me same thing . I recently battled covid 19 and was extremely ill while going threw a divorce and being taken care of by mother who is older and I believed could die if I give it to her while I was recovering at work my close friend and boss was murdered .and leading to her funeral all must have contributed to my panic attacks I’m still super anxious but with tears in my eyes as I write this I thank you so much I thought I was weak for this but seeing who you have become makes me feel strong and able to get threw this thank you and god bless.

Hello I'm Eric 👻 turning 20yo this August. I have experienced anxiety and depression for a year now and i am still battling it. It started a year ago when i was over thinking and worry by suddenly without really knowing why and panic attack/anxiety started hit me real hard(you guys know how it feels at the first time right xD). Then after few weeks/days i keep on receiving anxiety attacks..i have no idea what to do and all i think about is: run from it and hide in my bedroom and cry, stay away from my family, like to be alone and negative thinking. After that i don't really go out anymore and i don't workout anymore although i used to work out every weekday. I became fear, want to be with family but feels like i can't,sad, and the most bad thing is worry about when will the next panic attack will occurs again. Day by day i am like that until one day i decided to do research as much as possible what is really going on with me. Then i started to find out it is the anxiety and depression keep me lock in a nightmare like this and prevent me to do even 1 simple tasks like go out to buy food or eat outside. When i already what is going on with me then i started to learn about myself and keep forgiving my past problems and whatever it is keep on making me thinking about a past things or negative thought i will keep on forgive and tell myself that do not ever ever give up!! on what you tryna achieve or what you trying to have or what you really want in life even tho it is so hard for me since my family didn't really know how to help me through this situation and until now i don't really tell them i suffered from anxiety and depressed. All i tell my them was i can easily have panic attacks and please understand my condition and don't put stress on me. So yeah they heard what i said to them and they noted it 😂 but sometimes kinda forget about it. Then few months passed, i am learning how to deal with depression and anxiety step by step, day by day by searching and learning about them...it feels like you wake up all the day battling yourself in order to survive. But time passes and i still keep on going and won't give up. One day later i realise that my panic is lesser than i thought, my anxiety and depression does not shows up always like it used to. Then i starting to smile again hope that i will doing better for what i learned or knows about the anxiety and depression. Day by day passed, the anxiety and depression is gone and i am learning to take control of it now. Nowadays i can go outside walk, being happy, eat with family and do things what i loved to do again. It just make me overwhelming happy lol 😄 but everything i do i still keep it gently and now am still have anxiety and depression but it is much better now than it used to be and i am happy for that but still will never ever give up on what i trying to achieve. Haha so guys, you're not alone and don't be shame for yourself for having anxiety and depression. It is not a bad bad thing btw and it can gives you positives thought too. So now i want to share with y'all how to really get control of it and cope with my strategy🙏❤first thing first:
    1) do not over thinking. If you do feel like that then do as fast as you can to change your thought i mean think positive like wow that's a beautiful flower there.
2)keep your mind busy, that's mean do. something no matter what you do it must be a good things to do.
3)shower more will make you feel better
4)drink more warm water and try to drink less ice water.
5)sleep early and wake up early...if you can't sleep try and hear some music when sleep. .ake sure your phone is not charging.
    6)follow good diet plan
7)watching movies, ply some fun games but don't over do it.
8)workout it doesn't matter any kind..as long as you are sweating and remind yourself don't push hard or it will lead to panic again cause that what i experienced.
9)talking with anyone who you trustee enough about your problems.
    10)smile more man :p
11)keep on chasing your dream by doing it not dream for it to come.
12)Do not be worrying even tho you know your mind will tricking you every single day, rememver you are stronger than you think.
I think that's all i want to say and i am so sorry if this is too long to read 😄 and thank you so much for reading this + i am getting near to accomplish my dream. It will definitely help you and by that means keep your head up no matter if it happens again...let it all go and take a relax breathe and it will go away. Hope that helps you all ❤much love from me God Bless y'all🙏.

When the doc told him that, he literally laughed her away. He said i have nothing to worry about why would i get panic attacks. Finally he accepted after medication helped him relax big time

Okay some of these tips are good. But I want to say that when you are having a moment of depression or anxiety, do not do anything to take your mind from it. Don't do laundry or clean your kitchen or anything. Because what you're actually doing is suppressing it, and when you suppress it the issue will return, and usually it returns late at night when you're trying to sleep. And when you live with others you can't get up at 2am and clean or something. So it's better to face the issue rather than suppress it. It's better to talk about it with someone you trust or put it down on paper and get those feelings out so they are no longer inside of you. The only thing that is going to help is to face the issue and let it pass.

Hi and thank you so much for your video! I suffer from depression AND from anxiety. I did all my best to free myself from suffering (pills, doctors, yoga, meditation, exercises, better food, etc.) but I feel that something’s still “missing” in my brain/heart (I’ve had a very difficult childhood) because I keep living the same, old stuff over and over.
Just to give you an example, a few weeks ago I decided to plan a one week holiday in London with my husband. We went there but the second night and the morning after I felt so bad (panick attack) that we had to come back home. I feel this is a huge disability and sometimes I’d prefer to disappear from the face of this earth!

  • @markcarls1896
    @markcarls1896 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Pat, here's my problem, and I'm hoping you can help me with it.
I get panic attacks about work ethic. I'm scared to death about the hours you need to put in as an entrepreneur. I try so often to work as long and focused as I can, but eventually, the panic attacks come back and paralyze me to the point where I mentally can't function. Then there's all the outside noise I hear like, "You lazy millenials have no work ethic," and as much as I want to prove them wrong and get back to work, I get paralyzed again. Then that leads to depression where I can't even leave my bed anymore. Any time I'm forced out of bed, I get so sleepy that I can't focus, and that's after sleeping for 8 hours a night, which I'm being told by successful entrepreneurs that I need to cut back on! I want to be competitive, but I've never won anything other than a cake walk when I was 8 years old. It doesn't seem like it matters how hard I work, someone is going to outcompete me every time.

Hi Patrick, you are amazing. I am someone who never though himself as having any anxiety or depression and it's impossible to understand people who have it if you don't. At the same time I credit my optimism and positiveness for not getting into that state. Gratitude will help people with depression and anxiety and really whoever lives in a first world country has not much to complain and worry about, and I mean to put things in perspective. I believe that everybody is entitled to improve their life and that's what we humans are wired to do, but it's entirely up to our own choices and sense of responsibility. I believe people can get out of these bad feeling and live a happy fulfilled life if they look inside themselves, recognise it and study, like you did, and most importantly take action.
By the way I would loooove to get the list of all the books you have in your office, I want to read/study them all.
Thanks for your content and passion.

I've been struggling so bad with depression. I hate where I'm at. I'm 22 and I work in a factory in a small town in the middle of nowhere. I grew up here. I hate it, I hate the culture, I hate never having anything to do, I hate the people.
I'm trying to start in sales. I'm working nights at the factory so I use my days trying to start an independent sales agency.
I get so depressed I'm paralyzed. I still have to work my shitty job every day.
I have zero friends, there's nobody here. I'm single, I've about run through all available dating options here. The loneliness and isolation is killing me. I own a house here so I can't just get up and move away like I want to. I don't know what to do. There's so much uncertainty. I'm stuck and everything feels so permanent. The whole world's gray right now.

I recommend you go on dating sites, save up some money and go on vacations. There's an app called "meetup" where you can go to different kinds of events and meet people with similar interests. It's a great app to make friends. You need to take the first step, don't just think about changing your life just do it. It's really hard but it's 1000% possible to change your situation it's all up to you. I hope this helps.

Happens to me all the time... especially while I'm at work. I just sit there and think "What if I could use all this time to work on my business?" I can barely take a whole week at work. Then I think: "What if I just quit and do what I want to do?" I know that this small amount of money will help me in some way and that I will have problems with my family if I quit since money is an issue and I have few more months of university. So the hardest is to know that you have to be there, to do things you don't like in order to survive and work on moving on. Patrick, you are absolutely right about thinking about the past and the future. It's like you are stuck between the poor, sad and lonely past and worrying about if the future is going to be the same. At least that is what it is like for me.

Great video, but I got anxiety watching it. I.ll have to ease into it, as it is way too familiar. One horrific experience was after spine surgery, they had added a substance in my body that the FDA had allowed for off label use. It caused horrific anxiety in me, that the best I can describe it is like if I had jumped off the Empire State Building, and the trip down lasted three years.
Virtually no sleep for those years, and I lost 50 pounds, and it damn near killed me. It took years to get over, the gym became my best friend.
Now years later at 67 I am dealing with the anxiety again after loosing everything I worked for as an immigrant, in the Northern Ca. fires.
The Insurance broker had made a mistake, leaving us under-insured. Virtually no sleep the last two years. Life can really get you, learning how to deal with it is the key. I am embarrassed to say I have not mastered it yet.

    Good tips.
    I also recommend:
    1. Only drink clean water nothing else, this helps a lot! (especially coffee and energy drinks and soda)
    2. Quit sugar.
    3. Quit alchohol.
    4. Eat very little meat. (meat makes people tense, lose energy and not quit being themselves in big amounts, and especially if it is not full cooked)
    5. Eating a lot of vegetables and fruit, helps a lot, especially lentils helps a gigantic amount because of the natural folic acid which most people need.
    6. Drink lemon water that you squeeze yourself.
    7. Make sure you have enough d vitamin, if you don't have this this can make you insane and fragile and nervous.
    8. Calcium and magnesium also helps a lot plus b1 vitamin.
    9. Doing hard excercise also calms the nerves.
Especially if you are starting in a new job these things help a gigantic amount. I remember starting in a new job, where everything did not make any sense, I was scared shitless and panicking because even the kids out of school could do things 5x faster than me, even though I had 10x more experience. These things helped me a lot through this.

22:30 The more you want to experience the higher levels of competition, the more the possibility there is of having anxiety. Sometimes getting the juice of life means putting yourself in situations that you need to cope with yourself. And if you do that, that’s what leads to becoming a leader. _“I have not yet met a strong man or woman with an easy past.”_ Your body needs to be torn to become a stronger muscle. That’s the same thing with a leader and an entrepreneur - the bigger the empire you want to build, sometimes you need to go through the ripping of the muscle. The ripping of the mind. The ripping of a new mindset that you’ve got to go through to reach those new heights.”*
