Not only did I feel wtf did I just watch(?), but also that I'll never watch it again. But as times before there's a little voice deep inside that says "what you just watched was fuckin' fantastic." It will not be denied.
Absolutely! I felt the same when I watched it for the first time and now I watch and I understand the characters a little more each time. When I first watched it I hated Josh Brolin's character but then over time I started to hate Emily Blunt's character. And then I realized that Josh Brolin and Benicio's characters were a necessity if the war against a drug cartel was to have a chance at victory. However, this kind of war will never be won and regulation is the closest semblance of victory.
He really knocked it out of the park in Sicario. Barely said about 50 sentences maybe even less but his screen presence was a wonder to behold and he was able to subtly suggest the history of his character just by glances in certain moments where it felt like his mask was crackling to reveal the humanity beneath the killing machine. He was able to create a surface so clear and concentrated that Blunt, Brolin and all the other actors in the scenes were bouncing off of him and he reflected it all back in a sense becoming the most interesting performance with seemingly very little effort. I really hope he gets nominated.
I like that you mention his effect on others. That's something I wonder about often, and is seldom spoken about. I bet some actors make it easier for other actors to act. Their charisma just pulls others to react as a character. I wonder if there are articles about this.
Thanks for saying what I think. (I'm not good with my words.) I wasn't impressed with Del Toro until this movie. I hope to see him take on more roles as complex characters.
He’s absolutely adorable! I’ve seen almost every one of his movies. Amazing actor! I’m a 72 yrs old woman...Spent most of my adult life working, raising my girls (on my own) and helping to raise all my 6 grandchildren. They’re all grown up now. I don’t watch a whole lot of movies...except when I hear Benicio is starring in one. He’s great! I could watch him talk all day long. Nice smile. Ahhhh....ok...I’ll admit it... he’s yummy! 😄👍
@sandella11 : Hey Lady , thank you for you'r "yummi" comment!!! Yes and !Si! , he is "yummi" , wonderful and sexy , ohh lala! ;-) And , he has heart, brain and humor , the three most important things that make a person for me! ❤ Great's from Germany!!! 😊
What I love about his acting skills is that he uses expression, facial, body moves which makes the character more believable and draws you into the character and movie. Very rare trait. He also is a doppelganger to my husband.
I just saw Sicario thanks to Netflix. Benicio was so dark and menacing. He draws his audience in. He's a really great actor. I've seen him here and there through the years, but it's just recently I really saw his acting past his good looks through the movie The Usual Suspects (yes I'm that late lol). I hope he doesn't stop.
Nerdy Burd Recaps just saw Sicario 2! Compared to most other movies it was good. Compared to the first Sicario the sequel was garbage. BDT performance was as Brolin’s was made me sleepy.
Very interesting interview, as always! Love this channel! Sicario is a great film, I really hope Benicio gets some recognition during the award season for his role.
I. Love Benicio Dell Toro I just he is great in what ever he does. He is A great Actor in his own rights. He is know Brad Pitt ,and he is know marlo Brandon. He just does his own great work. It's not like I am in Love with him he is just A real good Actor. God Bless him always and his Daughter and her Mother. Rod Stewart has been one of my favorite Singers. His Birthday is 1 day before my, my is February 20th and his is the 19th. Just keep making movies and being Great as you are. God Bless you with Love and Preyers.
You got Benicio, awesome! Was hoping for that. Just thought I'd also point out a small typo that his name is missing an "i" in the topic (in case it has some effect on search results or such)

A video village is set up on set and has a live (and taped) feed from the camera. Dailies were traditionally projected the day after each shooting day, so the team could see what they got the day before.
Why shoot an interview that fast with that short of a focus zone and be out of focus 1/4 of the time? F4 would have been fine. Just saying. With all du respect. Good interview though. I like Benicio.
I often wonder when seeing, listening to interviews like this, what the acror's personality is really like. I have the same feeling for Denzel Washington, when he is interviewed. There is a kind of rambling and searching to convey his true self, and what one is used to seeing on the screen is not there. A hollow shell, that the character fills, but not the true person that that actor is.
It's funny when he said that after the Bond movie he thought he'd made it but actually he kept auditioning for one year couldn't find a job ,I am sorry but that's really funny
‘Sicario’ is one of those movies you don’t realize is great, until it’s over and you’re like ‘wtf did I just watch?’.
Natalie Zayas-Bazan ...and then you watch Sicario 2 and you realize how biblical the first one was.
Not only did I feel wtf did I just watch(?), but also that I'll never watch it again. But as times before there's a little voice deep inside that says "what you just watched was fuckin' fantastic." It will not be denied.

Sicario 1 is the best. Feels like I dragged in another dark world. I never knew a drug crime can be so sadistic. I never seen movie like that 😭😭😭😭
And then you watch the second one
He really knocked it out of the park in Sicario. He was excellent. He was the movie. Mesmerizing.

Perhaps God creates such wonderful people to give us those positive emotions that we lack in everyday life.
I’m 18 years old and I can still relate to this😂😂

I'm obsessed with this man. Amazing actor. Gorgeous man.
Me too! lets go get him 🤗💕
I love that he is so authentic. Humble, honest, doesn't knock taking Pee-Wee's Big Top as his first job. I just love him.
I just saw Sicario thanks to Netflix. Benicio was so dark and menacing. He draws his audience in. He's a really great actor. The interviewer did such a great job. Thanks for the video
Benicio is absolutely a Great actor....one of my favorites !
What a lovely genuine down to earth guy. Plus a hugely talented actor. Sicario is still one amazing film 😊
I love that the actors can really geek out and talk about what they love to do in these interviews.
Admire him love his smiles & voice & personality & acting 💖
Very smart and grounded guy - he totally gets it.
My favorite movie for 2015. He was more than amazing in it.
He is really a professional. So very glad I saw this. A privilege for sure.
Thanks. This is such an interesting interview. I like the casual mood while Benicio is interviewed.
I hope he gets an Oscar for Sicario.
+1adadada totally agreed
im thinking he'll get one for sicario2 now since emily isnt leading it w/josh in the sequel. ben's gonna get nominated, the trailer proves it xD
Nerdy Burd Recaps just saw Sicario 2! Compared to most other movies it was good. Compared to the first Sicario the sequel was garbage. BDT performance was as Brolin’s was made me sleepy.
Smart, talented, handsome - what a combination.
Hearing that 19-20 is the perfect age to start studying acting has just inspired me even more. I am definitely going to an acting class this year
Why would anyone here care? If narcissism is part of being an actor you’re certainly only your way.
@@I_Shit_on_your_shit_point whuh
He is a genius actor.cant appreciate his performance enough.too much style.elegance.just a treat to watch him always.a superstar
Benicio is so blessed to have it all. He is so serving of all good that comes his way.
Yet ANOTHER amazing interview. Man I love this channel.
Benicio was tremendous in Sicario. He, Idris and Straight outta Compton should've been at the Oscars.
Very interesting interview, as always! Love this channel! Sicario is a great film, I really hope Benicio gets some recognition during the award season for his role.
Good interview. Love Benicio.
Really smart man.
really good interview. up there with the one you did with Bill Hurt a few years back. thanks for this.
Talent talks for itself!
Excess Bagage hooked me he's beautiful I love him
Along with DDL Benecio's one of the best actors in the world.
He's such a great actor.
Maybe your best shot interview. Great 💜
There were three shot in that space that day by the same team. Jessica Chastain and Olivia Wilde. It was a great day.
Should of won an Oscar!!
Melhor ator e o mais belo que já vi , abençoado seja🙌💕
That was a nice wrap up in the end there.
+avox n it was :)
Ok how can someone describe him?Cool, chill, down to earth, hot!!!!Unfortunately an underrated actor!Wanna meet him!
Brad Pitt is the WHITE Benicio del Toro and not the other way around.
He's not even close. Benecio is more of a Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman, type.
Bleu Clegg that’s what I thought! 🖤
it is so sad he has to be someone who is like someone....
And a sprinkle of James Dean 👌🏻✨
WHAT ???
I. Love Benicio Dell Toro I just he is great in what ever he does. He is A great Actor in his own rights. He is know Brad Pitt ,and he is know marlo Brandon. He just does his own great work. What a cool interview.
The hunted was one of my favorite movies that benicio played in but Sicario is just as good as a movie.
You got Benicio, awesome! Was hoping for that. Just thought I'd also point out a small typo that his name is missing an "i" in the topic (in case it has some effect on search results or such)
Amazing Cini photgraphy for this interview.
Anyone who can pull off Alejandro and the Heineken man deserves an Oscar already!
Great interview
An exceptional performance from a masterful actor... 🙇
Excellent interviewer.
Por favor ,traduz em português ,mais vale a pena assistir ,só o fato de velo já gratificante ,ele é o melhor 👏👏👏😘🙌

"Take your time."
He definitely took his time in the final revenge scene with the Boss & his family. The suspense was insane..
I remember getting made fun of trying to imitate hair like his at a 5th grade middle school dance, lmao.
Great interview!
awesome interview
Haha, the ending was great! Really funny!
Great Job as always. You always have the best interviews. Now get someone from Bone Tomahawk :-)
+Josh R Kurt Russell would be amazing.
+Jaime Carlander If he took up Acting?
+Josh R Bone Tomahawk was such a pleasure to watch, is slow but not tedious, great build up to the mistery.
Your the man uso. Love everything you're on. Like you said Picasso. Faamalosi.
Wow now I have to see this movie... is he the coolest actor or what!!!!!!
Hey Dave, what did you shoot this with? I love the look of this interview
I actually don't know. I time DP with his own equipment in NY.
Benicio comes from a family of attorneys played an attorney turned hit man. He was perfect for the role.
He's underrated
Orgullo latino junto con Garcia,Barden,y el gran QUINN
Bardem is spanish
Renata Rodrigues Bardem is a Latino
@@ninahndz5880 I thought he Just Spanish. Spaniards don't consider themselves Latino or Hispanic I have heard.
I think Benissio doesn't know how excellent He is, He should value Himself more😌👍😍
Wow he really looks like Brad Pitt doing his suspicious eyes look in Burn After Reading! Great channel, love these interviews!
Same
Always thought he looks like a combo of Pitt and Decaprio

From fear and loathing in las Vegas to a hitman, badass.
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between daily's and the video village. Great interview by the way.
A video village is set up on set and has a live (and taped) feed from the camera. Dailies were traditionally projected the day after each shooting day, so the team could see what they got the day before.
Such a wonderful actor and beautiful man, too bad about the toll his heavy smoking is having on his voice.
You guys need to do another interview for sicario soldado
First question....Why was that such a horrible movie? And why did you do it?!?!
i couldn't help notice how much he looked like brad pitt in this
+Warnerchild But even cooler.
+Warnerchild Pitt...All the way from A to B and back again.
+Warnerchild Absolutely! I thought exactly the same - like Brad Pitt only better, more experienced perhaps, better actor possibly?
+Warnerchild better looking and more interesting version ; pitt can barely make a sentence in interviews
He is Brad Pitt with thicker, so automatically manlier facial features.
and you do not mention Che ? his best role ..
+Brommes Actually there is a DP/30 Interview with Benicio del Toro, which is only about Che...
+Brommes He's promoting Sicario is all and I recall David interviewed him separately about that project.
He is such a smart, talented, handsome, guy.
❤
the man is just so cool , method yet really cool is only word... fantastic thespian if u like .....
Why shoot an interview that fast with that short of a focus zone and be out of focus 1/4 of the time? F4 would have been fine. Just saying. With all du respect.
Good interview though. I like Benicio.
+Symon Says TV And your hundreds of interviews with top line Hollywood actors?
I often wonder when seeing, listening to interviews like this, what the acror's personality is really like. I have the same feeling for Denzel Washington, when he is interviewed. DelToro is a lot like the "Fear & Loathing" character in this interview more so than he is like Alejandro.
It's funny when he said that after the Bond movie he thought he'd made it but actually he kept auditioning for one year couldn't find a job ,I am sorry but that's really funny
You having no real sense of humor is nothing to apologize about. You lost the genetic lottery. Everyone else is sorry…for you

Great interview! (but It's Benicio not 'Bencio' haha)
+Sean Wilcock It's Boncioio, like an Alpine climber.
No it's not. It's Benciabobo. Sillly Person.
benicio and johnny depp snubbed for sicario and black mass.what a shame.wtf
Classics f a award making a classic is the win
This dude is different. 😎
Why hasnt benicio worked with andy garcia.. an amazing actor too! Also al pacino or robert de niro
I'd love to see him work with Andy Garcia, an underrated actor.
Bit of a dude isn’t he very cool and planted
Great actor - always scared me a bit
