Benicio is one of the greatest actors in the world. I've been a huge fan since I first noticed him in Traffic. He never fails to amaze me with his presence in any film he does.
He dies in like 60 percent though

just saw Reptile and fell in love with his looks so handsome and a very very good detective.
Loved the scene where he admonishes the young guy not to dance with his wife at the western party. With a short sentence and a glance.

I met Benicio del Toro at a SDSU / Delta Upsilon Fraternity Party in 1984 and we became friends while he attended USD and I attending SDSU. He was a cool dude and he told me one day that he was dropping out of school to pursue an acting career in New York / Hollywood and the rest is history. I enjoy watching all his films and wished we could have stayed in touch but back then we had no cell phones lol. Anyways, so happy for his success and that his dream came true. I also have to say about the movie Reptile, Benicio's acting has progressed so much that he doesn't only act with words, but you can read his whole sentences just by looking at him .I think he is getting better and better and should continue to look for roles that give him more space. @@tahseti1113

We don't speak "spanglish" in Puerto Rico. We speak Spanish. The fact that we can pepper our language with English doesn't mean we don't know how to speak Spanish.
We speak Spanish in Puerto Rico, I know because I live here. I remember going to a seminar Benecio Del Toro gave for aspiring professional classical musicians in the Conservatorio de Música in Miramar,San Juan Puerto Rico. I loved his questions and answers with the students who asked about the many real life challenges awaiting them.
Traffic and sicario are two of his best roles. A truly great actor.
