Yup, "El Once" beautiful thing is (IMO) he has blown all the way up from there. The fact that the role really was small, and understandable as a contrast to the primes, De Niro and Snipes, but still the dude shined.

He could,SHOULD have had a real supporting role with dialog(He is THE murder victim late in the game after all) instead of most shots of him being on the field(That he is a top baseball player with a beergut is just fucking awesome) or signing autographs. They should´ve developed his obsession with 11 a bit and not made the choice to have Primo be willing to sell it for a mil.The fan has a small cast so he wasnt ignored due to overcrowding. He had just come off The usual suspects and deserved a little better and more,not less,The Fan could have made him a star. But fuck it,he became one n is my favourite actor so of course I´m biased. No other actor completely erases his own personality with such range,(Seen 27 movies with him,never a trace of Benicio in any role)often changes his voice and becomes the character. Sin city,Fear and loathing and Things we lost in the fire are my fav roles of his,Traffic,The usual suspects and Sin city fav films. His work is too sparse but he is always so impressive,he will stay relevant for the rest of his days. And born in 1967,just like two actors I admire, P S Hoffman and Mark Ruffalo.
