Really helpful, especially having it faster the third time. It was faster, but still not really 'normal speed.' I think it would be even better if there was a 4th reading, faster than the third. Thanks for all you do for us.

When you go up and down in pitch on certain words depending on the tone/mark, such as Chào or các, do you have to actively make the tone go down or up (kind of like a roller coaster, where you steadily go up until you reach the top, or the bottom, or when performing scales in music)? Or do you just say it in a high or low tone? Like, you don't have to make the tone "slide", you just do it? Wow I hope this made sense.

Hey Annie, I've been told that when there is a word like " giup", or " giao" ( beginning with the letter "gi" or "d") , southern vietnamese usually pronounce it like "y" letter ( as in words "yeah" or "you"). but in your video, i noticed that you pronounced as if there were a "z" ( like the word "zoo" ). I guess I was told wrong, is it? I admit i haven't watched all your videos yet and that maybe you give the answer previously ( but i'm too lazy to find out because i'm sleepy :p) Thank you Etienne
hi friend ! i am vietnamses. the southern Vietnamese pronuonce both the letters D or GI as the letter Y( as in words "yeah" or "you") in english. but the norththern Vietnameses pronounce both the letters D or GI as the letter Z ( like the word "zoo" ). but the exact pronounciation is : letter D pronounced as the Y( as in words "yeah" or "you"), and letter GI pronounced as the Z ( like the word "zoo" ). now you know that !!!
Thank you Annie, you speak it slow and very clear which is so helpful!!! Love to watch more videos similar to these!!!
This is really helpful and a good way to apply what we've learnt in context.

I`ve noticed that the initial r is pronounced differently throughout the text. (rat vs. roi) Is there a rule for pronounciation?
