hi Annie, my name is Tuan. I am a Vietnamese. I watch your videos, and I love them, I love the passion and simplicity you have in your videos. I love your posting song "Ca phe sua da" ( I don't have vietkey in my computer). Hope one day, I would have two glasses of café sua da with you on the sidewalk in Saigon.

Xin chào :) Of course we sing (a lot) :D But the point is, when composing lyrics, the song-writer has to make each word in the lyrics "fit" the note going with it. Words carrying falling tones (for example: mà, mạ) go with low notes, words carrying high tones (ma, má) go with high notes ... so that the lyrics will be understood by listeners. I think composing lyrics in a tonal language is therefore difficult - if you want the perfect harmony between tones of words and notes going with them.

Don't be sad dear, it's just a matter of practice :) A Việt kiều can learn much faster than others, since deep down they have something belonging here I believe :)

Annie, this really made me laugh! Although I know learning Vietnamese will be hard, you make it seem fun. Maybe this song will become my 'party piece' at karaoke!
