I drive past one regularly and last time had canvas over the roof. Leaks apparently. I would not buy from China. Substandard and I bet the electrics and fittings are rubbish as well.
They are so $h!t, there is a young lady down my road that has one, it’s so bad, leaked from the day she got it, boxes of silicone and it still leaks, expanda foam in the gaps, the rats still chew their way in, I call it the tent, there is 2 transportable as well and they’re better. She said the floor is cold no matter what and the condensation is terrible, so the heater works with the dehumidifier at the same time, no water no sewerage no appliances, crane to move it, add all that into it, she has 2 kids in it and moved out again last I asked, there’s a few around I know of and they all have separate free standing roofs over the top put in by separate contractors, in the end it wasn’t cheap, it costs heaps.

@@UnPassant-zs9oc We did not need any permits. We live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of North Texas. When we purchased our tiny house, we knew the sellers would be responsible for installing it. We did not level the dirt, but left it natural. The tiny house was leveled and secured, connected to water, electricity, sewage, and installed temporary steps to our front porch. We had lived for over 3 years in our fifth wheel, so decided that we would go with the 50 Amp option for electricity. We could have gone with 100 or 200 amps, but the 50 amp option allowed us everything that we needed. We purchased a separate 2-burner coiled cooking source, have a built-in microwave, and used many of our pots and pans initially. We purchased a smokeless grill with griddle. This worked out better for us than the burners. Next we purchased a tabletop oven. Our was now complete. When you are looking at tiny hours, ask the sellers about any necessary permits needed in your area. Before purchasing, meet with a building permit staff and discuss your needs. Pindan (i think it was them) were bringing these in from China when they were a new thing. They were a disaster in the beginning, the wiring and plumbing was all wrong no matter how hard they tried to impose on the build process over there. They would end up spending so long trying to rectify them in Perth and then repack for shipping that they gave up and stopped selling them. Back when these houses were 150k aud or less landed and done. The cool thing was that there were a hand full of different configurations, you could actually get a double sized version with around 4 bedrooms if I recall correctly. Obviously they would be much better now and a great option for getting a house up fast. It is great seeing this lovely person and her little one making these into a proper little home. They always had great potential but I think they were just marketed all wrong.
If the owner using this house as a template, and one step at a time put on stronger material to improve exterior protection. It's not only prolonged live of this prefabricated house but better its look or matching their preference. **And avoid a longevity mortgage** It's seems very easy for other connections such as electrical ...etc... But for plumbing, perhaps the manufacturer should make pre-connected with local requirements insulated main pipes, with some rational protection, and their ends coming out from base of the house. So, local plumbers can just easily continue with their service afterwards. ....And don't forget connections for laundry!
Did you check to see if the toxicity of the facility? China isn't known for its safety standards. Remember the Chinese drywall that ate plumbing and released toxic chemicals.

A good tip would be reinforcing the roof, the siding, and maybe replacing the door with something stronger.
Build out a good solid concrete flood and moor the structure to it!
I think it would be fine, I see a lot of manufactured homes in hurricane territory, and they do fine. Might need some up keep, but as long as it's anchored down I don't see it going anywhere
Small, private, and practical. If this has working AC and heating, it would make a fantastic AirBNB. Someone with experience could buy two, attach them, and renovate to make a two/three bedroom. It would still be cheaper than some houses on the market
Def need to ascertain if they come with heat and AC.
Cardboard with duct tape would be even cheaper.
@@jodyel pretty sure they do not. That is up to the owner. They accomodate the ability to have it but do not come with electricity or plumbing. Its tiny so doesn’t require much.
so beautiful, congratulations!:) I am 23 and I am purchasing one here in california.
How do you hook up the electrica,l and plumbing to the main lines? It be nice uf they show where the hookups are, and how you hook this up to electrical and plumbing .
Plenty of potential with these units. I wonder if they can be joined together ... Cheers
Yes, they can. There is a place in Cairns that sells these and calls them granny flats.
you can get bigger ones.

Thanks for sharing your experience of a home from China yet was looking at one also .....
Price?
I just saw a video of one priced at $650k PHP (about $16k CAD), but that was over 4 years ago. It would be nice if the price point or range was given.
So much disinformation here. FYI, most places will not give permits for these plastic boxes. Then there is the fact these are not rated for any wind, have nearly zero insulation against heat or cold, they didn’t discuss a water heater, electric hookup, sewer or water main and all their costs.
Only in the US do have to die pay for a house
It's strange, because at least 4 of the huge Chinese companies that sell these, offer a crew to come set it up upon delivery for free in the US. Don't know why in Australia, they don't have that. Plus, this specific model comes in a huge array of wall panels (ultra-light concrete) including laminated wood, bamboo and other awesome choices . The floors as well have a bunch of different linoleum choices including gloss bamboo, stained light or dark, etc. This specific model(s) is by far, among the BEST of the modular (foldable) homes out there. You can order them with a full solar array and an external wall battery. This homes are dynamite.
What are those Chinese companies that offer set up in US? Did you buy any?
Can you illustrate us and write the name of companies?
Offcourse they come to mount it, if you pay more that its price. 😅
Because in straya, you need qualifications to do the wiring, plumbing and shit. Can't simply be done by any tom dick & harry...straya is the only place where manpower cost exceed the actual physical product...😂😂😂
😂😂😂yo, we have Chinese EVERYWHERE here. they are buying out companies, setting up military bases. .. spying..... yall better be glad if you dont have them in your country 💯
people are so dumb.... 🤷♀️
This is nice, a small home that is not so small, its a good size, and haw much $?- did it cost? TH
Brilliant affordable housing. Congratulations
I would do an air quality test on this thing. I bet there are many…. Interesting vapors in there which might be especially harmful to kids. I’ve seen some crazy stuff (even in normal homes) - VOC over 4000 ppm, TVOC up to 10 mg/m3, which is worse than living at a gas station with open tanks. It’s not that expensive to get a professional check, I would strongly suggest you do it rather sooner than later…
Will do in a follow up video 👍
I thought exactly the same thing. I'd check for radioactivity as well.
Coming from China, lord knows what chemicals are in those walls.
It’s described as plastic on amazon. Shipping containers are made of metal when used for homes.
You should have a video showing how to put it together, piece by piece, in vivid detail for people like me.
Then you need:
Electrical
Plumbing
well or city water
septic or city sewer
And this is in England?
Coming soon
What’s the link to these homes?
Do they ship to Puerto Rico and US ?
I’m seriously considering one of these. The only thing that concerns me is the shipping process. How did you go about landing it in Australia, duties and fees. That part seems the most daunting.
Try E . Musk’s company boxable since they’d have a decent warranty. I’d avoid this Chinese company at all costs no matter how cheap they are. Who the hell knows what materials the Chinese are using to construct these.
You just use a customs agent, and they do all that, and then you get it picked up from the customs warehouse, as I bought lithium batteries like that, sold them which paid for my own.
@@rjohnson4553 Thanks!
Good permanenr solution for homeless shelter.
We bought a tiny home almost 5 years ago. We wish we had done it instead of having a house built in 2014. It is just what we need to 2 adults. Can do everything we could do in our house. We financed our home for 4 years and have 8 pmts to go!! It is true freedom!
Where? How did you get the permits?
I believe most of your permits are going to be dependent on the site in your area and what your desires are. Good Luck! I have had 2 mortgages in my lifetime and not having a mortgage is the better option!
How did you put ac?
@@melissapiedra4090 We paid for extra insulation when we bought our tiny house. Tuesday house came with mounted AC and heat near the ceiling. We have 2 units-one in main living area and 1 for the bedroom and bathroom. Our bills have never exceeded $600, even in the hot Fort Worth, Texas weather.
Good luck with your new home❤
This is nice. I like it. Would make a great cabin for a pretty piece of land.
Nice house.
1. Should have also video records inside the home when there is a heavy rain outside.
2. Will there be a rust issue.
wow, its looks really nice. awesome buy.
Can you do a write up or a video on how you handled it all? I keep getting stuck on figuring out what it costs at the docks and stuff
This would be a great idea to the UKs housing problem.
Would never pass BSI standards

Halting immigration for approx 100 years and repatriating those that seek to takeover the UK, would be a far better way to solve the housing problem and many other issues.

In America we call this a single-wide trailer home. You can tow them into place and don't need to build them out much. Got their own wheels, utility hookups and leveling devices too. People even made parks for them. They've been around about 80 years.
Walls preventing easy hanging of shelves, etc. Is a drawback. Just like an RV. Otherwise lovely!😊
Install magnets with hooks. They're very easy to source, and some can hold more than the average human weighs.
Her gray dress is so cute. Where can I buy it
With or without the big sweaty arse patch 👀
We’ve come to this!!!
Great setup as a small workshop and storage shack
Wow that’s a lot bigger than I thought it would be. ❤
That's what she said
Are these prefab homes insulated?
Basically insulated at the walls like an RV. Roughly 6-7 R-value. If you're living in the desert, you'll need to frame the inside out with studs, and use a closed cell spray foam, or you'll roast alive.
I want one of these for storage!
Nice to know the thing you have to add to it. Thanks for sharing!! I love this!
How much was total price, shipping and all?
my budget isn't big but my family has land... may have ot do somethin like this looks comfy.
It's a Chinese mobile home. As long as it's cost efficient and safe. I like having Chinese products as a choice.
Especially things that last longer than 4 days...
How much to purchase
feel free to move there 😅 .. they like it also, especially when their main goal is to wreck other countries economy to save their own. - not to mention all of the spying they do around the world in other countries, not just the United States. - be careful who and what you support and associate with. 💯 There is a youtube on the chinese spying across the world. the beloved Tiktok also belongs to china, where they gather and steal data from everyone. u may not think that what you as 1 person does is very fascinating, or worth spying over, but it is more complex than that. They gather data on everyone, compile it, and do an over all analysis for psychological warfare purposes. what better way to beat your enemies than to know their every move? 🤷♀️
"I love living like someone that lives off of $8000 a year"
You are so much braver than me. I always figured if I bought something like this online from china they'd send a container of socks instead.
Loved it you did a great job!!
Can you get two and put them together? Connect them for a bigger house?
I’m interested in one of these
@FITNESSOVER45considering houses in my area are on average $1.2m USD, $20k to $30k is more than reasonable to tack on
One of the impressive parts about this story is the dented Holden being put to good use as a wall lifting device
im contemplating selling my house and buying land to put this on so that I am 100% paid off. I wish they had electrical ran to where lights would be already though I hate raceway
Depending where you are, these may not pass local zoning codes. Best way around this is to have a main house then build this as ADU (accessory dwelling unit) aka mother-in-law unit.
Again, all depends on your local laws. These can vary even by city. Last thing you want is inspector coming by and telling you to tear it down
What is the roof made of? Is there insulation? Is this house good for a cold climate. How many years is the warranty. I really like them but I need info on the house
You said it was cheap, but how much was it??
What does it come with? Like sink and toilet and electrical??
what was the square footage and the price?
this looks a lot like the ones sold on amazon for 20k. I saw one that looks closely like this, which was 19ft x 20ft.
I'd buy that shipping container tiny home in a heartbeat.
WOW amazing home, I want one.
Would love one ❤❤
Haha I bought a bunch of these in California for under $3k each and they were all cheaply made.
I sold them at the next auction for about double $$$
It really depends what time of the year they sell.
Summer is $$$
How long do you figure they'll last?
What Chinese company did you buy your houses from ?
My question. Are they wired? Is the plumbing reqdy to be connected to water? Or do you have to rip the interior apart to put all of that in??
Really need this
How's the insulation? Outside Cold/heat resistance?
We re considering 2-3 of these as well.. Not sure where to start. Help!! lol
Amazon has them
What kind of insulation? And what's the R value?
It ships with HVAC too?

Hi, thank you very much. Can you help me? If I buy a product like this on eBay from china, it says free shipping, but how much would it cost me in customs? Do you know about customs costs in the United States?
Hey, I’m curious to what website you bought it from ?
I didn't care much for the house. But the lass hosting the vid was 🔥
Hows it holding up ? looking to purchase one my self ! 😁
My kitchen cupboards are screwed up with a butterfly type screw, the more you tighten them they expand on the inside like two wings opened.
Where can i buy a prefabricated home and have it delivered to my property?
something IKEA could pick up on
Can you put a wood burning stove in these? Also how is the insulation? Looking to place it where it gets cold.
cost?
For some reason, they're keeping the cross the big secret.
If the owner using this house as a template, and one step at a time put on stronger material to improve exterior protection. It's not only prolonged live of this prefabricated house but better its look or matching their preference. **And avoid a longevity mortgage**
It's seems very easy for other connections such as electrical ...etc...
Remember the Chinese drywall that ate plumbing and released toxic chemicals.
no? but sounds scary.
