Older buildings still have asbestos in them mainly because it's very expensive to remove requiring a hazmat team to remove and safely dispose of it as well as its more dangerous to remove than just leave it.

why do i feel you will freeze to death if its put in a cold place? like germany or similar.. the walls and ceiling do not look 100% tight so i suppose a lot of cold air would get inside? you would spend a fortune in warming it up even if its small no?

Rather than AirCon, you may want to get a (geo thermal) heat pump which is far more efficient for cooling.
