Thanks, Question- All u need to do is block off that small oil inlet hole on the upper drive? And then u can fully pressure test it.? What about the area where the shaft goes into. Do u have to block that off also. Or is that not a part to worry about doing this test.

It didn't work for me. There's also leak somewhere else.

Thanks for watching, after we rebuilt upper unit with all new seals, pressure testing it was very important to ensure no leaks.
Following these exact steps to properly pressure test unit will ensure it’s good to go and A-ok to be reinstalled onto lower unit.
As you can see, we used rubber pieces to block little oil feed hole/port which allowed us to perform a proper test.
      😎👍

Dude, I don't know how you did this. With the upper and lower separated, there is a big hole where the vertical driveshaft (attached to the lower unit) enters the upper unit through the oil seal. Did you block this hole somehow? Please explain what you did. I could only pressure test the upper with the upper and lower joined.

Hey there TThack1, hope your day is going well. I would clean the area up well with brake clean, or something to clean up any grease or oil. I would find some quality non porous tape, such as shrink wrap tape, or metal duct tape. Make sure that hole is nice and plugged, and I think you'll be good to go. You only have to pressurize it up to 10 or 12 pounds, so I think you'd be good without any blow by. Hope this helps, and Cheers!

I love your videos. What do I torque the retainer nut to? With a retainer nut wrench and same craftsman torque wrench you have.

      Good morning ☕️
As far as the torque specs, we recommend applying the exact torque stated in your serial number service manual.
Some drives don’t have an exact torque value, it’s just tightened snug.
      How is your project going?
