@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning Nice to see you Sid and sorry to hear about all the trouble. As a fellow anxiety sufferer, I've got to learn how to reduce stress levels, so that I can be functional, productive and safe. Key word is organization. It's all on you mate, so it's better to stay half an hour longer after your work for the day is done, checking things out, doing maintenance, washing up of the van and the machines, preparing things for the next day, making sure you are ready to go and there are no issues. Just keep it calm and organized, under control, without stressing. That's why mistakes and bad luck happens. Make sure you find few good lads, adult and reliable. I've learned it's about working smarter, not harder. Good workers, well kept vans and machines, good organization - you'll be stress free and safe. Jumping roofs with all that stress is dangerous, mate. Your babies need you safe. Take it easy, delegate duties, find someone who will deal with video editing for you. It's achievable. Good luck!

Hello Sid, saw the photo of the kids. You have been intentionally trying bigger and harder jobs for a while. This one needed doing. A topic that came up this last week was that anytime you start a new category, you are going to have "a learning curve". No matter how hard you research and talk to people, there are "questions you don't know to ask" and "situations you can't guess". Enjoying the work, the remarkable scaffolding. Thank you for explanations and wishing you well. Glad the wind seemed to cut back and the drone shots were nice. Thank you to your mechanics who have been working overtime trying to keep you on the road. It is o.k. not to film in the middle of crisis and to take breaks from crisis, to be able to turn off the "overstress reaction".

Sid, you’re a brand new dad, you’re self employed and have staff that rely on you and more importantly a family that need and love you. You need to be kinder to yourself, you’re running yourself into the ground. As much as growing the business is important, so is your mental health, slow things down a bit. Look after the existing client base first, once you have the new staff then you can continue to expand. Currently you’re expanding quicker than your business can manage. In turn your bread and butter customer is losing out. You can’t please everyone all of the time. Reset for the new year, plan your diary according to your existing client base this should show you the days you can add more customers. Once you have the staff then you should take a step back and look at the expansion, you are the boss you can’t do both all of the time. You have trust in your brother and your dad, who can train others. Unfortunately the hardest thing for a boss to do is step back and let others have some control, you’re a perfectionist and that’s great but what comes with that is it’s hard to let go and trust others to do as good a job as you. Finding the right balance is the hardest thing, but if you go down because of health then everything goes to shit (unless you have the cover in place to keep things ticking along) Just thoughts from someone who has been there and done it. You will always be successful, you have the drive to succeed, sometimes a slower pace will get you further than doing everything at 100 miles an hour and trying to please everyone. I look forward to the next videos as and when (remember that’s an income stream that can be developed with advertisers etc, you have the subscriber base, Y food for example which can offset some of your costs) Hope this helps👍🇬🇧

Sid, if it seems like your business is stressful, consider my grandad, who opened a shop in 1920, had to move to other premises soon after, had three children, ten years later was the Great Depression, then WW2 with meat rationing (he owned a Butcher's shop), after the war, food regulations were increased almost every year (though shop was always clean🙂), every time he wanted to upgrade he had to ask the lease owner, even down to replacing the bridge over the brook that ran at the back of the property.
Despite it all he left a successful business to his sons, which operated until they too retired.
Business is never easy, but that's why the rewards are, hopefully, great.
I think you are, like my grandfather, customer focused, and the greatest reward is knowing your customer has been provided with a great service. Every time your customers come home, they will appreciate your work.
We have recently had the whole roof replaced, and it's still a joy to look up and see it. I imagine customers will feel the same pride looking at their clean roofs.

Hey Sid, you have a new baby boy, and he comes first so I think you are trying to be chill at home with him so your stress is going to come out somewhere. Thank goodness no one was hurt with the explosion of your pump. Be kind to yourself too. There are only so many hours in the day. I was worried about the baby being sick so I didn’t want to put my foot in and contact you and ask. I am seriously relieved that your family is ok. My sister and I have not being having a good time. My sister had her car written off thankfully she wasn’t in It. Then our mother died. It’s ok she’s was 96 so it was inevitable. However as we were planning the funeral and that night a large tree branch fell out and smashed onto her roof. I’m thankful that she is ok. Last year in two weeks in September my dog died, my partner broke his collar bone and my car caught fire. Pardon me but shit happens. I think you have handled it very well so be proud of yourself. You only want the best for people as I do and that’s what counts. Thank you. May you please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩

It's never OK to lose a loved one, even at 96. People are saying they cried seeing Bernard Cribbins in Doctor Who and I was the same. He was part of my childhood and I'm 67!
I visited family graves yesterday and saw graves for two 15 year old boys, and a 1 day old baby. Grief doesn't ease with age.
My grandfather was 99 years, 11 months when he died, I was gutted

You can also chuck some of this up to growing pains as you grow this business you’ve put your heart and soul into to. We will be here whenever you are so don’t stress about the TH-cam channel :)

Going up to the top in the wind must have been pretty terrifying, I was almost feeling nauseous from here! Your normal scaffolding looks way more strudy in terms of the bit you stand on not just being planks it looks like you could trip over & can see through. So normally the height bit doesn't kick in. But this one is way higher up too! A challenging job for sure just based on that. And I was so expecting the "it did not" to be followed by you falling off so very glad that's not what happened. Though I doubt you'd have been able to upload a video if it had.
If you are feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment you could just take a break from youtube or just do an occasional at-home brief chat video to say "hi, still alive" instead of a complicated filming of a job for a bit. You've had a lot going on and it seems like only yesterday you had a new baby & now you've got another so that's not going to be easy balancing all the kids & the workload and the filming, plus resting! I hope things improve for you soon. You deserve some good things too.

I hate it for you that things have been rough. Firing people has always been the hardest thing I had to do. The kid was a good worker when he wanted to be. He's just very immature and needs to learn the work-party balance. Equipment trouble really stinks, but it's part of the growth you're experiencing. Silver lining.
As for the fire, thank heaven you weren't hurt! Now be careful!!! Your family needs you, and your audience cares about you. Take care. Get rest. Enjoy those tots at home and love their momma.

I feel your pain dude! I live with my mum and she is unable to do any physically demanding work so I've been mowing lawns and gardening. The house is a flipping mess as well. I'm completely overwhelmed and just slowly climbing this steep mountain, hoping to find a break.

Never apologise for anxiety mate. Crap happens and sometimes it’s hard to find a mental coping strategy that works. Overthinking is something I’m guilty of and it can suck the day down. Often helps to put perspective into the equation. Some places in the world have real life issues, war, famine etc. Over here we’re pretty lucky compared to them. Dead easy to say though. Not so easy to put into practice. Same with being a boss, never easy when staffing issues present amidst other catastrophes. I heard quite a lot of positives in your discussion. Problem solving, reacting to losing the kid etc. Its when things go wrong that defines a good business IMO.
