    One day after watching this video I quoted a lady £200 following the structure set out in this video.. Just closed my first client with the potential of another job off this lead. Thanks man 🔥🔥

    Mate, Thank you so much for doing what your doing. As it happens me and my dad have decided to go all in ourselves, and spent 5k on a full van set up. i found your videos after trying to do a bit of research. You have been a massive help with your advice as i really have no clue where to start but i am determined to make it work, i am 30 years old with 3 kids and i keep feeling like this could be my last chance to make something of myself and hopefully a future for my family. You have helped me so much already so thank you again :)

    I think we all needed this video, i find it so hard to charge what is an appropriate amount. I always worry I'll look greedy if it's what i consider a big total even if i know I'm not really earning from it! I found this reassuring that if i know I'm doing good work is ok to charge for it lol

    You should look into an automated system like Tave (a photography CRM, but works perfectly for any industry) or the likes. You setup macros for your services then just check whats included. The customer chooses a date and pays on acceptance of the quote, job done. Sends followups to prompt them for repeat work, does your taxes and tracks expenses, all that stuff.

    Great video. Very interesting to see how others do it. I have a question on the measurements - is it not 53sqm, as opposed to 53m2? My logic being, 3m2 = 9sqm. Therefore, 53m2 = 2809sqm. (I've lost sleep over this, bro).

    Great to see the whole quote process. Do you not get customers picking and choosing what parts of the job they want you to do, surely you need something like subject to a minimum charge of £x.

  • @LancashireProClean

    I always quote block paving cleaning with the re-sanding in with the price as its not really a option as it must be done for the stability of the driveway the pressure washing process removes the sand so it must be replaced

    Hey isn’t a buffer tank 1000litre too heavy it broke the suspension from my Luton van what size would you recommend? Is 300l enough per job for driveway?
    Max

    • @almilhouse9059
      @almilhouse9059 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You could fit 250-500 litre tank or even use a small or large wheely bin to use as your buffer tank, if its a huge drive obviously the bigger the tank the beemtger but then again it all depends on water pressure at the premises you are working at.
      Best of luck

      @@almilhouse9059 hey thanks for the reply! the gravity feed is terrible so I bought a water pump to connect and it’s doing pretty good however now I need to get electricity from the client which makes me look cheap. Try to offer 3 prices. Low - medium and high. Obviously these prices will start with the basic wash ( minimum ) plus any extras as options. When a customer receives such a price they feel you are conscientious and they will, typically, select one of those prices rather than seeking any alternative quotation elsewhere. It is professional. It works.

    Hi Jack
    Just want to know, you don't charge any labour time for sealing and sanding separately?
    What you did, just added the materials costs to the washing cost.
    So no labour costs for other two tasks sand work?????no labour cost
    Seal work ????? No labour cost
    Thanks

    • @SMOUT_
      @SMOUT_  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching.
      I always add materials and labour yes, even for sanding and sealing. I don't always separate them on the breakdown, it depends how in depth you want to go with the customer.
      You could say:
      Sand £25
      Sand application £25
      Or you could just say Sand: £50, it's up to you 🙂

    Hi again
    Can you say, how long for instance take that job?
    So i can get the sense of measurement and time relationship with the cost ? because i am more used to £ /per hours lik a garages
    1_ parts ie say £30+ labour
    2 _ £/h ie say charging £ 20/hour
    For example job takes 2 1 /2
    Labour 2.5 x £20= £50
    Parts £ 30
    Total £80
    If you see what I mean
    Thanks

    • @SMOUT_
      @SMOUT_  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't generally worry about my hourly rate. If it's a large job spread across multiple days, I usually ensure I'm making at least enough to cover my "day rate", plus materials.
      Others may choose an hourly rate.

    all this is a bit long winded i have been a decorator for over 30 years - to quote i price a job by time day / hours it takes + materials - mostly on the spot then its up to them to contact you with a yes or no - simples

    So is biocide included in the £4 per square meter or would add on an additional rate if you spotted large amounts of black spot?
