Well that cheered me up. The world needs more Brain Squeeze Reactions to make people happy not sad.
You are welcome abd glad to give a smile and cheer up for the day 🙌🙌🙌🙌⏪️🧠
I absolutely agree! Hector you really help me in so many ways esp making me smile from ear to ear! You absolutely help more ppl than you know. I listen to you several times a day! Thank you for being your amazing authentic self! ❤️
I need Hector at least once a day😄
I wish more of the world appreciated music the way you do, it’s infectious, I’m 61 and grew up on this music and you have me reliving my youth and for that I thank you sir !!!!
Same age and love EOL. vasty underrated. I Love Pink Floyd as well of course!
Same age as you both! We loves through the best eras of music!
@@dondiibnob5512 Five years younger than the three of you and I, too, grew up on ELO! Cheers!
61 here too. Cheers to all and ELO!
my favorite ELO album- when it came out I listened to the whole thing 5 time in a row, could not stop
I swear your channel is my happy place, I love just re-watching your videos at the end of my night, and I can go to bed smiling.
I know the music makes you feel sooooo happy Mark. But sharing your reaction with us makes me soooooo happy too, Mark.😊😊😊
The whole album is a must. Like Pink Floyd albums, this one is best enjoyed end to end. I really think Jeff Lynne (lead singer) could be onto something here, with this music stuff :-)
The boy has potential 🤔😊
And they have so many great hits. You are going to love ELO!
ELO is doing a farewell tour this year!!! So excited! I'm 76 and need to survive till September! (:
1:40 I’m in it for the smiles. This is just a smiley song.
The cowbell always sneaks up on me.
It needs more cowbell
That was fun🎉🎉❤😊Makes my body smile too.😂❤❤
Очень приятно смотреть на твою реакцию товарищ! Очень весело!😁 Я люблю ЭЛО с 1982 года, мне тогда было 14 лет.
I'm so glad you're around man ❤
Brian you are just great, you make me feel that the world is good ❤️👏👏👏👏
Mark, bienvenido a los que amamos E.L.O en cualquier parte del mundo!!!! Bienvenido y a disfrutar!!!! Y gracias a vos por darnos tu buena onda!!!
I totally love watching you react to the songs I grew up with 👍 I recommend " the WHO, reign o'er me" it will be awesome! You have my word 💥
I'd recommend checking out The Traveling Willburys the Band features Jeff Lynne, the guitarist and vocalist of ELO, as well as Tom Petty, George Harrison, Roy Orbison, and Bob Dylan, all of them are legends in their own rights.
Here again. Lost count of the number of times I’ve watched this and many others of yours, but, when I’ve had a shitty day your reactions are now my go to to make me feel better and smile. Thanks 😁
You are most welcome 😊😊⏪️🧠
The use of violins in modern music is what bring magic to the songs. Almost every disco songs use them, they add a heavenly vibe to them.
Heres the truth mate - you react the way we all WANT to react, and secretly do at home. Both my hubbie I grew up on this - both our dads went to the same concert here in Australia in 1978 - a full electric lazer light show. We were still kids - but we passed this love onto our millenials and they rock to it as much as we and you do! Its physically impossible to sit still with ELO on!
Jeff Lynn's desire was to include a classical influence (via the orchestra) into every song.
Mark' s reaction and Livin' Thing' - - happy day!
Love your reaction! So many ELO hits to choose from! If I was you, I would listen to "Tightrope" next.
Yes! I HIGHLY recommend "Tightrope".
Yes, tightrope!
I agree, "Tightrope" is great!
Defo
First album I ever bought
You could be my new best friend! You express EVERYTHING that I feel from listening ELO: an orgy of goregous, joyous, brilliant music. Wow, you've made me so happy. Your new mate in Seattle.
They were the first band I ever heard of that had a string section. They are amazing. You should check out Mr Blue Sky Turn To Stone and Do Ya.
A lot of us have been requesting he react to the Concerto for a Rainy Day, a four part suite that ends with Mr. Blue Sky
I second the request for Concerto For A Rainy Day. Truly an awesome masterpiece.
I third it as well 😂😂
Your not the first one to hit repeat more than once. 😁 This brings back memories.
Hiya Hector, so glad you are enjoying ELO!
Hey Mark. What a breath of fresh air you are! Your reactions to the two ELO songs (Shangri La and Livin’ Thing) are the stuff of legends. You are infectious and I was grinning from ear to ear throughout both of them. Totally made my day. ELO are my favourite band of all time and I look forward to more of your reactions to them. Much love
Thank you Anthony 😊😊😊😊⏪️🧠
@@brainsqueezereactions Forgot to say but you have a new subscriber 😀😀😀😀🥰
Orchestral rock, this band had it. What a trip. Every song was different and made me explore so much more. Thank you again for the reaction!
For an upbeat number, Livin' Thing is actually about depression and loss. ELO frontman and songwriter Jeff Lynne wrote it after he was suffering from food poisoning, and it inspired him to write about how easy it is to take happiness for granted. Although he later said in an interview, "I wouldn't want anyone to think it's about a bad paella on a Spanish holiday." Thanks Jeff 🤣
@@wesalker3479 "Penultimate" means."2nd best". I think you meant to say it is the "ultimate" happy song, meaning it is the happiest song of them all.
😊😊😊❤❤❤
I’ve commented before about how you’ve picked me up after a bad day, but, today has been a good day & I find myself back here to enjoy 😊
Music to heal the soul. That is ELO
Higher and higher baby!! It's a Livin' thing! What an inmortal chorus man. And the violin's plucking (don't know if it is right said). An amazing classic and a beauty.
That's with ELO. Pure magic.
The ELO began with a lot of orchestral instruments in their songs, mixed with blues and rock&roll, some darker songs, progressive, balads and somehow they did a successful evolution to a kind of Disco music during the Bee Gees era; I think earlier. I was a little kid. But this song is much earlier than that. Also their album Discovey ('79) is like a legendary pre Disco album. You have to react to Last Train to London. You will be dancing, for sure.
Regards from Chile!!
Remember Jeff Lynne wrote and arranged all 0f ELO songs. John Lennon of the Beatles called ELO "Son of the Beatles"
Jeff Lynne didn't come to play. He came to play.
Please DON'T do Mister Blue Sky unless you do it as part of the full Concerto For A Rainy Day. You'll understand.
Yes yes yes YES.
Yes you must have Summer and Lightning!
And big wheels and standing in the rain 😂😂😂
@@Bassjohn1968 Ah yes big wheels I remember those.
Need to react to them live at Wembly
The joy on your gob..😳🥰 I remember feeling like that when it came out 👍 LIFE WAS FKN GOOD all of a sudden 😊 it makes ya wanna go hug a hoodie or something..🤣
MARK.... I know what you love about the chorus.... If you listen carefully, in amongst all the guitars, violins, voices etc, etc.... someone is playing the spoons...!!! Yes, I promise you. They are. Keep on Rocking.
Such an economy with words. I look forward to your next syllable with great eagerness.
My favorite ELO album New World Record. Kudos man. You bring the joy
Now you know what ELO music does to me. It makes me happy🎉. I am so glad you like it too.🎶👋🏼
Jeff Lynnes' band which preceeded ELO was called the Move. Try their song/album Message From the Country
OMG. What are the odds that you stopped the song the first time right before the the intro ended. Here I am waiting with a huge smile on my face for what's coming and then you stopped it!!! Perfect timing. No worries cause I got to see you the next time you played it through. Wonderful reaction. Really enjoyed it. Thanks.
I forgot to say before, a "light orchestra" is a scaled down smaller version. YW! x
Brilliant reaction.
Dude, you're so fun to watch, it makes my freaking day!
Well this made my day too!!!!
ELO was a staple in the 70s. Roller skating rink action for this teenager!
You are Boogie -ing 💃. Put a big smile on my face as I was bopping around!💃
Oh I was lost in the vibe of vibenesss! ❤️⏪️🧠🙌
I love it when people see the name Electric Light Orchestra and listen to one of their tracks that has the orchestral introduction and then...
Oh, and Jeff Lynne CAN go from orchestra to rock, he's a musical genius
Breath Hector 😂. Loved the reaction mate. Next “Telephone Line” “Eldorado Overture/Can’t get it out of my Head” and…. Don’t forget about Nightwish…? 😊
Their stage rose up from some where. Had never heard of them. One of the best concert I've been to. I'm 69 now and we had the greatest music back then!!!!
I saw them in Sheffield with my favorite person in the world who is not here anymore. The best night of my life if i live a 1000 lifetimes.
So enjoyed your happiness! thank you, Mark!!! Ibizabelle
🤣🤣🤣🧠⏪️
You must listen to "DoYa" - ELO and Standing in the rain also Rockaria... you will love them.😊
P.s. Standing in the rain as part of the concerto...
Last Train to London is a must.
This is my favorite ELO song. Loved your reaction.
You really are good to be around. Thanks again!
Thats really nice to read 😊😊😊
Once again you nailed this , I was in stitches , this tune … sheesh unreal
ELO is good stuff,,,,Happy music. 🤪🤪🤪👍
Watching your reactions,,,,,,,,give ME joy. 💥💥💥👍
Hector and his ELO is killin me, fuckin ell!
Oh this is funny, it’s so strange to watch young people listening to music that we grew up with& know so well, good on you ❤
Moody Blues - Forever Autumn. If you like ELO and Floyd. Moody Blues makes you feel like you're floating in space too.
Lol. It was me! I told you last time the song from Short Circuit was More than a Woman, by the Bee Gees. You had listened to Evil Woman by ELO. Love your reactions.
I always had the latest album in my car...a '66 ford galaxy 500, mostly 8-track back in the day, but I always had ELO somewhere in my collection, in my room on the turntable, in the car...and occasionally on the radio...I'm now 63, Enjoy the ELO ride...Rock ON...Brother
Mr. Blue Sky 🔥🔥🔥
We took for granted this wonderful music we grew up with thinking it would always be around but sadly it isn’t! Loved growing up on the music of the 70’s and 80’s. Love ELO.
New World Record is, by far, my favorite ELO album. I still have my 1978 copy. The cover is a little worn but the record still sounds marvelous. I bought Out of the Blue next and then in '79 Discovery. Filled in the rest after that and eagerly awaited Time. I have to say that from Face the Music through Time was their golden era. And I'm crediting the addition of and contributions from Kelly Groucutt as the reason. Said it, believe it.
U r so much into it! Don't lose urself, buddy! 😀
You're so much fun Hector. I really look forward to your reactions. Thank you!
What I love the most about your reaction videos is that you absolutely cannot watch them without smiling or laughing. This channel is medicine for my soul! I love your channel, you are so much fun to watch. I love watching a younger generation discover the music I grew up with.
I don't care too much for rap, but I kept seeing Tom Macdonald show up on your channel so I gave "Fake Woke" a listen. Those lyrics were so hard hitting truth that I listened to all of his tracks on your channel. I bought his album just to help that artist thrive!!
I can't wait for when you discover the likes of Steely Dan (Sign in Stranger, Show Biz Kids, Do it Again) or Robin Trower (Blue Soul, Fine Day, Time is Short). Keep it up my friend, you are my go to place to get cheered up after a long day at work!
You crack me up 😂😂 this is my teen music 7th grade ❤
Every place Jeff Lynne sings "I'm takin' a dive" in this song, my ex BF used to sing "I'm takin' a dump"-- and he would sing it with such sincerity that I laughed every fkkn time.
Jeff Lynne is a musical genius. You can't go wrong with anything by ELO. I would definitely recommend listening to Jeff's version of Telephone Line from Wembley in 2017. It's unbelievable -- not just the vocals which are INSANE but the music and light show. Please check it out. Also for happy music from ELO, you have to check out "Don't Bring Me Down."
I'd also suggest my favorite happy song ever -- Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now." You can't help but feel great and dance to it.
And for more orchestra sounds, go to The Moody Blues. "Nights in White Satin" and "The Voice" are my favorites.
Your reactions are my favorite 10 minutes of the day!!
F1rst!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
TURN TO STONE!!!!
Mark, ELO was from my childhood, growing up in Birmingham, where they were from, they were everywhere in the 70's, songs like Strange Magic, Sweet Talkin Woman, 19538 Overutre, Mr Blue Sky, but next you should do Turn to Stone I think you'll love that
Is a first time I see in the one same reaction the music is restarted 3 times and play 2 times by complete!!! Great!
I absolutely love this song, 1 of the best from ELO. Was great hit in US (#13) and UK (#4) ,1976.
Nice to see ELO music conquering the test of time and finding new generations of fans. ELO is slowly sliding up the scale to being in the company of rock’s greatest bands. Who would’ve thunk it 20 years ago?
Respect to ELO as this is one of my favs from them but Mark you thing this is it. Wait until you react to Supertramp's song "Good Bye Stranger"
love your reaction to ELO
This group had the most hits in the UK and USA between 1972 and 1986, so you have a lot to get through. Their album tracks are even better.
To be accurate, you need to include the word, "combined". ELO had the most *combined* Top 40 Hits between the US and UK of any group from their inception in '72 to their disbandment in '86.
I just very recently subscribed & I can't tell you how happy I am that I did. I love watching your reactions to the music that I was so lucky to have been surrounded by. Thank you for giving me a good giggle just watching your reactions. Cheers & Happy New Year.
You are VERY welcome 😊😊😊😊
Love ELO & your reaction to them. Need to check out "Showdown", one of my faves!!!
ELO tickles the soul 😎
ELO were a great band, and in the seventies they had a three piece string section, so yea, a kind of mini-orchestra...
As we moved into the eighties they ended up using synths instead of strings, and for many folks it was all over...
but they still released some great albums
Try listening to a whole ELO album, you will spend the rest of your life spaced out. THAT is the Genius of Jeff Lynne.
Your reaction is super i got tears in me eyes. Great .
I was learning to play the cello when I discovered E.L.O. and I thought I had reached nirvana. And yes, they are an orchestra. The string tracks were all done with real players... not synthesizers. They are really f'ing amazing.
Is it an orchestra? 😂 HAHA I love you 💕 by the way a little trivia Jeff (the singer) was good mates with George Harrison from the Beatles. As you may know the Beatles broke up in 1970. Jeff & George spent a lot of time together and there is a lot of inflection and influence in this music 🎶
If you like the orchestra/rock thing, try Moody Blues "Nights in White Satin" live.
ELO to you as well ❤️ here for the awesome energy and dancing with you. It's just like the first time all over again, starting to get tears. Always a fun time with you Mark
🔥🔥❤️🔥🔥
Electric Light Orchestra is literally a light orchestra with an electric twist, hence the name.
#SendingSmilesAcrossTheMiles to the #TheWeddingGuy 😁😆 Such a happy song ☺️☺️
Great reactions to my favourite band of all time. I think you should try The way life's meant to be 👍
Next ELO?
"Eldorado Overture / Can't Get It Out Of My Head"
First two, inseparable tracks from their epic 1974 album.
(Fun fact: The picture on the album is from "The Wizard of Oz")
That photo was chosen by 21-year old, Sharon Arden, daughter of ELO manager, Don Arden. Sharon would later meet and marry another famous Brummie rocker (Jeff is also from Birmingham), can you name him??
@@Cosmo-Kramer I like music, and I like movies, and I like the occasional fun fact that ties the two together.
But I'm not quite sure how much one should be expected to know about the personal lives of the daughters of the managers of 70's musical groups. I don't see that it's any of my business, really. If it should be obvious, then I'm afraid it must have slipped past me. I do not know. ;-]
@@robertcartier5088 Defensive much?? lol Jesus Christ, I was just expounding on what you had written with another interesting nugget about the album cover you referenced. In no way, shape, or form did I even remotely suggest that you were somehow derelict in not knowing that nugget, or not including it in your "fact". Sheesh.
Brain Squeeze rules OK 🤪😂🤣😅👍!!!!!!
Happy music from my childhood. 😊
Happy happy daze; 70's/80s were a gas. Danced my arse off and saw loads bands and discoed, bopped, funked and rocked a lot. Great times were had. I'm having one now too!
Great driving music, too!
If its the harmony's that you like from ELO give " Wild west hero" a listen it is my favorite track to sing along to
