Yeah until a chip or a push button is encountered. Just got mine today and it hot stuck had to pick the lock twice to get it out but dam that tool makes it easy. I’m learning lock picking mostly for a hobby but i also encounter a lot of locks with lost keys so it will be nice to have a non destructive way of removing locks.
@Captain Lock Pick looks like a transit and it does have chip, hence why it didnt crank and didnt do a gauge sweep. Work at a dealership or get a genuine auto locksmith, they dont pick your key cylinder. They have access to the key codes and can cut a key without touching the car. Have had 100's of key made, work at a dealership
U jeed the correct lishi pick for the model car. This is for ford lincol and mercury vehicles. Won't work in Honda's/ acuras. That's a separate lichi tool
This only works on cars without a security lockout system, usually in the form of a red blinking LED. If the red LED doesn't go out, then the injectors, fuel pump and ECU will not get power. The car will crank over, but nothing will happen, besides maybe burning your starter out or chipping a tooth off the bendix drive and having to replace it.

You should've mentioned you can do this as long as your key doesnt have a chip in it.
When a man is picking an ignition lock and they say their hands are shaky from "espresso" it's tough to believe😂.
For everyone asking, it's a Lishi lock pick
But this only works with older vehicles that don't have the RF chip system.

If the vehicle requires a programmed transponder key you can pick it over but the vehicle will never start.

Most cars have chips in the key this won’t work unless the car is old
