- We take a look at Douleur, the forthcoming release from Bogue Profumo, a collaboration between perfumer Antonio Gardoni and tattoo artist Freddie Albrighton.
I pre-ordered this bottle, and I understand that Douleur will be released on general sale very soon.

He does dialectical dynamics so well, things pushing and pulling, being suspended between, etc. probably his architectural sensibility. Love this and all of his work so far.

Off the back of the new Strangers scent too, there's definitely something interesting about exploring these new fragrances in a different way than the classical approach. You only get progression by stretching boundaries, and that's what this is doing by the sound of it. Yet another great analysis by you. Thank you, gentlemen.
I completely agree. I think it's fantastic that there are perfumers who are willing to challenge the boundaries of what we call 'perfume'.

Hello, guys, sounds interesting, I do not make preordering, but will order when is available.. But was lucky to order Aeon 001,awesome scent.. I suggest you to explore another another great perfumer Christophe Laudamiel with his perfume house The Zoo, Luca Turin is raving about him and his work!

Love both Antonio and Freddie , Freddie had a smelly TH-cam channel years ago and is an amazing tattoo artist . I was tempted to preorder it but was slightly put off by the thought of gourmand touches
I wouldn't describe it as overly gourmand. Yes, I had no idea Freddie had a channel, but a few of mentioned it. A shame the videos are no longer up.
I first smelled this while Freddie was tattooing me, I was used to smelling more High Street and designer fragrances, I liked Douleur but can't think of an occasion in which I'd wear it.....maybe off my tree on an ibiza party boat. Anyway it has Inspired me to explore more niche fragrances. I'll definitely buy a bottle because as weird as it is I cant stop going back and smelling the sample I received!
I agree. I still find it hard to find a specific occasion for it, but I appreciate and enjoy it nonetheless.

Seems to be discontinued, but I got a nearly full bottle from Spain via ebay. Bought blind, but zero regrets. I rate it right up there with Mem and Maai, and I might even prefer it over them.
Maybe the best fragrance ever created.
Always interested in what Antonio Gardoni comes up with although I'm getting a bit tired of the limited releases here and there. I hope Luckyscent will stock Douleur so i can purchase a sample.
I don’t think it’s a limited release, I just bought it as a pre-release. I think the official release is very soon

soo true!! chaotic!! its a mess unwearable mess, but version 2 is perfume, finished idea. guys i admire u did not get headache while sniffing this, 1 spray from tiny sample fills up my entire bathroom and the apartment@@ its cloying strength..there is catchy sweety minty vibe like chewing gum in it, but its just too volumed up....that your nose bleeds. good its discontinued, for a reason lol v2 is much better

With a name that translates to pain and imagery of the bottle bound in ropes I don’t think they are being very subtle to the story of the perfume 🤣
Yes, it seems obvious, but to be honest, when I smell it I can't quite make that connection.
Wafts from The Loft well, the rose oxide smell like blood.

I love Maai, but this one was not good at all. The bubble gum vibe sweetness was a big no no for me

I usually try to keep it positive, but seriously, all that mooing, aaaing, and eeeing is just straight up nonsense. And what's the deal with one person talking nons stop perfume notes while the other is just starting to sniff a perfume? It's like a real-life acid trip, surreal.
