Loved this review and totally agree with everything you’ve found in it. One other note that I had was: the amount you spray seems to influence what kind of a scent you get from it: smooth inky Vetiver, smoky vanilla or spiced floral licorice? I think I know what you mean by “curry”- not like curry on the plate in front of you but more like when you’re going through spices and pastes in a market, lots of shifting contrasting notes. What an incredibly complex and rewarding fragrance. Gardoni told me this was one of his most intricate and challenging formulas.
To my nose, in its simplest terms, it is a leathery slightly smoky Gardenia. Dichotomous olfactory experience: both classical and avant-garde. Spread the Fragrant Love
I fully agree with you assessment that it's difficult to be conclusive about this fragrance! This is how I felt when I tried it - I keep finding it interesting, and keep sniffing it, but interesting isn't the same as liking it. It's as if the accords are so unique that it's almost a cerebral scent. I'm not jumping for this yet - I wonder how I will feel about it once the novelty of the intrigue wears off a little.
I suppose it depends what you're looking for in a fragrance. I like to have a big wardrobe of fragrances that offer different things, and sometimes (but not always) I enjoy something like this that keeps me guessing.
When I tried this at Bloom, the lady over there just asked: Does it remind you of another frag? I said immediately: T-Rex. It's essentially a tamer version of T-Rex. It's really not for me
I sprayed this on to smell it while listening to your review. The first thing that hit me was the relation to T-Rex as well. This is its more well-behaved sister, innit? I find T-Rex fantastic, artsy, intellectually interesting but also, honestly, very difficult to wear. This I can see myself wearing.
IN A FUTURE FRAGRANCE BUY SEGMENT U MENTIONED DS & DURGA AMBER KISO/I KOPPED IT & I LUV IT/IT SMELLZ SORTA LIKE GASOLINE BUTT IN A GOOD WAY/KANT WEIGHT 2 WEAR IT AGAIN
I cant wait to try this one. I already have 20 samples to go through though. Bogue isn't too far down on the list to explore next so will be sooner than later!

I’d love to try it from a full bottle. The sample atomisers are ok, but I think it would be a different experience with a more diffusive spray
Hello guys nice review about this fragrance it's good for summer or winter and is there close to its smells.?
As we said. T-rex is a very close relation. It’s an obvious winter choice, but would be interesting to try it in the summer
Love your content, guys! And Dan, those glasses look amazing - may I ask what brand and model it is?
Thanks! They're by Cubitts and called Agar
@@WaftsfromTheLoft Excellent. Thanks!

Absolutely!

Yes, the TRex relation does leap to mind, as it clearly did for us, but I don't think its quite as straightforward as that.
I wouldn't say it was simply a tamer version of T Rex. It's almost the same, but less masculine and definitely smokier than T Rex, to me.
Glad Jo mentioned the cumin(ish) stage. Thought I was imagining things!

Yes. Our first reaction was that it was an easier wearing version of t-rex, but actually I think there’s more to it than that
Joe you need better lighting please. Dan what were you drinking? something with that special "gin" you bought? :)
It’s actually Kombucha. This was recorded before I gave up dry January in favour of gin!
GARDONI. Finally:)
Thanks for your interesting review.
Thanks for watching.

Definitely check out MAAI and MEM as well, if you haven't already.
i bought the bottle and sold it. This burned vanilla feat. tamed down version of trex was unwearable to me :(
I think it's a sort of love hate fragrance.
You can just say it. It's baaaaaaaaaaad.
That’s the one thing it’s not. It’s not to everyone’s taste, but life is too short for a fragrance that pleases everyone
@@WaftsfromTheLoft Life si defineitely too short. I'll give you that.
