I miss the Era where brands would care more about having as many people sampling their perfumes vs trying to make maximum profit even off samples. Business is business but all these random brands popping out of nowhere are all charging an arm and leg... at least this one is a winner
Yes, it’s very interesting all the small brands popping up. We loved Oolong Tea by One Day, that won a pear last year, but I’ve not seen much about the house in the last year. The fragrance landscape has changed enormously. When I first discovered houses like L’Artisan Parfumeur they were the real ‘niche’, but still available all over the world.
I found Sacred tobacco to be their best one. So well balanced with the tobacco, clove and funk with sandalwood to balance it out. Not sharp at all. Just a masculine aura around you while i found Cacao Ritual too heavy on the funk and Animal Cafe heavy on the clove. But all very interesting scents that's worth a sniff.
Gentlemen, you have peaked my interest big time. I am an Italian blooded Australian coffee roaster here in Western Australia. Always been looking for a true coffee fragrance. Tired of the sweet , Starbucks style coffee fragrances. Would love to get my hands on a decent if possible. Cheers Dom Dante.
Would love it if you guys would do a review on latest/favourite aquatic scents. Now this British weather is starting to warm up finally! The only aquatic fragrance I am familiar with is 'Atlante' by Sarah Baker..adore it 🌊 (worn from a sample on my holiday in Devon last summer) Looking to go to Selfridges this weekend to sample more aquatic fragrances. Love watching you guys on here & your review of 'Lace' by Sarah Baker found me my signature fragrance (Thank you!)
I have a sample of Follow, but full bottle bought Followed. And every time I go into my bedroom I pass through a minute scent cloud of maple syrup, pancakes, and coffee, and I get hungry.
Im sure this brand is fantastic unfortunately the price is ridiculous and even to sample is nuts. I would love to smell this but even though i can afford to i just cant bring myself to purchasing. Outstanding review as always!
The video hasn't even started yet (ads) but I'll say at the outset that the name alone of this fragrance is slightly terrifying. "Cafe," sure, but...animal?
Price is quite high due to the materials used plus the presentation: the bottles are made out of Italian crystal and the cap is made using black Carrara marble, so expensive juice + expensive presentation 😊 yet still they cost less then other famous brands which only have wannabe luxury presentation and cheap juice 🤐
Joe looked like he was going to be ill when he heard the price of the sample set. Sadly, I’m feeling similarly these days. Taking a break from all purchases due to the insulting prices. The end of a hobby? We’ll see. Nice to live vicariously through you both in the meantime.
Intriguing impressions guys. I feel like I NEED to try this one. ☕ Especially with those balanced animalics and extra depth. Certainly keeps things interesting for a coffee fragrance. 🥸
Extra Virgo has been a breath of fresh air for me as a connoisseur!
When Jo says "This is gonna sound really gross but bear with me", I listen with great anticipation 😅
Yes, I thought he was pretty tame this time!
@@WaftsfromTheLoft I like the fact that you consider being pulled across hot concrete until your flesh burns tame 😃
First! Good job as usual! :-)

Long live Timbuktu !
Since you have a discovery set, I hope you will do an overview of the house.
Love an impressive opening.

I really exited to test this one in a few days
I’d written off coffee perfumes, but this intrigues me. Thank you.

I must admit, review was bang on, but I do love a good cliffhanger. The end of the video. Last 5 seconds. Epic.

This is the one I should sample :)
I have recibe the samples os Extravirgo. And Pangea, the orris one , smells amazing. I thinks it deserves his own review👀
It’s a really great one
@@WaftsfromTheLoft yes, yes is great
Just got to the price portion. Good god. The sort of asking price that sends me back to my cabinet to appreciate what I already have.
Could you compare Animal Cafe with Durocaffé by Bois 1928, if you have ever tried it?
Curious if either of you tried Follow by Kerosene? Straight up black drip coffee with hints of maple syrup and cloves.
I believe they did! If I remember correctly they smelled a bunch of samples from the house.
I found the episode, from 2019: th-cam.com/video/59mAjY64a24/w-d-xo.html

It’s definitely both!
@@WaftsfromTheLoft Your reactions to it were vivid. Most enjoyable!

I’ll have to watch more of these guys’ videos, but I’m sceptical when the words say ‘I love it’ and the face is saying ‘omg this is revolting’.

Better than Follow. MMMMmmm I’d need convincing 😊
