This marvellous scent blew me back to the lavender fields around Sault. It also blew me back to a dessert we ate in Saint Rémy de Provence, crème brûlée served in 3 ways: classic, blueberries and lavender. The lavender plate felt like heaven. MEM has that sugary touch that reminds me a lot of that wonderful dessert. Moments of joy and this scent makes me feel that way too. Big love! Grts Bruno (Belgium)

Great review. My full bottle arrived yesterday in its divine packaging with little Bogue stickers sealing a tissue wrap and the lovely box subtly emobossed with laser precision and printed on the inside too with blue-grey woodcut clouds. For me it doesn’t swerve about or go animalic it just stays on my skin divine lavender and jasmine all the way on and on. This is my fourth full spray testing too. It’s a work of art

I just sampled MEM... WOW! I love lavender, and fougeres in general, but this is on another level. I’m stunned by how beautiful and complex this is-floral, animalic, herbal, burnt sugar, halitosis, bubblegum... just ridiculous, arresting, and addictive. Obviously have to wear it several times to know for sure, but I’ve been smelling my knuckle nonstop for the last hour.

Just got this.... love it. A magnificent creation. It's akin to being hosed down whilst in a warm lavender field, eating Parma Violets and screaming 'resinous!' at the top of your lungs as a helicopter drops a water bomb of caked soapy 🧼 water all over you....

I'm going to try and sample this again. I've read Kafka's glowing review plus others but did not experience much shape shifting on my skin personally. Its certainly a unique interpretation of lavender, now thats true niche.

An apt description! To me it evokes memories of toilets being cleaned at Schiphol airport, the non-animalic aspects smell very similar to the cleaning liquid they must use, and and the animalic aspect, well, like you say, urinals...

I’m trying it now for the first time. After a fleeting lavender and a certain aromatherapy aura, what I am mainly getting is the white flowers (plus some rose)/ Chanel N.5 vibe Dan mentioned. It has been only 30 minutes and so far no animalics, just an alluring indolic. I’m already smitten!
I’m looking forward to keep exploring this interesting fragrance :)

Was really excited about this one following your mention of it in various places. Not for me unfortunately, it evokes 'photorealistic' memories of toilets being cleaned at Schiphol airport and some other public toilets in the Netherlands, the non-animalic aspects smell very similar to the cleaning liquid they must use, and as for the animalic aspect, well, toilets and urinals... going to chuck the rest of the sample, yuck...
Ha, I'm the same way with lots of fragrances that have prominent lemon notes.

Not a big fan of Lavender since I was disappointed with rania, Lavender 44?,,I may be wrong with the names,, but will you say that mem would better for fall winter.? . Thanks again
Gabriel Garcia on the whole, yes is suppose it is a colder weather scent. BUT I bought it at the height of summer, and whilst it’s not right for a scorching day, it would work for a summer’s evening and definitely for spring.

John Burke you’re in for a treat. I would also seek out MAAI. I don’t own a full bottle as I can’t see myself wearing it that much, but it’s incredible stuff, and certainly worth trying.

For some reason, the only vibe i get from trying mem is an old building...doesn't seem to smell great to me, perhaps im missing something though...

One of my absolute favorites as well. Curious, during what seasons/weather do you like to wear this one best? I find it’s powerful enough to stand up to the cold, but wonder if it’s best in more temperate weather. Thoughts?
All year round. For me, it really does change according to weather and body temperature. I would find it a bit too much on a really hot day, but the rest of the year it's a winner.
A lavender bomb, floral, anamalic and fecal doesn’t sound like my cup of tea but you guys have sold it to me to at least invest in a sample 👍
2 Scents Worth it’s very difficult to put into a bracket, so definitely try to see how it works on your skin.

I have owned MEM since it debuted and enjoyed your video. I love Antonio Gardenia’s creations and also Giuseppe Impressiabile from Meo Fusciuni’s perfumi.
I think it was Brian Eno who pointed out that synthesizers, and more recently computer-based music production systems and virtual instruments, have allowed many more people to get involved in composing and producing music.
Increasingly these musicians have no formal background or training in music theory/mastering an instrument etc., so they are more likely to discover new sounds and introduce a new direction and method to the development of music. All the merrier!
The same could be said for architects developing a fragrance. Bring it on!

I am one such Challenged Musician. Add a stochastic element to the percussion, fiddle with the oscillator knobs & co., throw some poorly-considered- notes on the piano roll and hit Play ... Thankfully, I have a day job ...
I like that an architect is having a go at fragrances!

No, not a soliflor. It’s a study in lavender, for sure, but the animalic complexity isn’t something you’d encounter in a lavender soliflor

Love this on a cool fresh morning walk in the woods with the dog. Maai is also lovely. The rubber top did pull off the outer ring of the sprayer but it popped back on ok.
MAAI is stunning as well!
Wafts from The Loft MAAI is nice, but not even close to this masterpiece.
