The college map in this game is something else. This is the first game in my fps gaming experience that makes me want to dead check an NPC

@@ControlledPairsGaming When I played it I cleared almost the entire building before running into the shooter. I heard a civilian yell "over here" inside a bathroom and then he killed her. I happened to look the wrong way when entering and he domed me immediately. Wild shit
@@ControlledPairsGaming the 911 call of that level is really emotional. I don't want to spoil anything but man you really gotta embrace your inner Rex Engelbert for that level. Playing that level felt exactly like the body cam footage of officer Engelbert during the Nashville high school incidence.

@@sebaslopez8012 It's voice attack, a completly seperate software you can use for nearly everything on your pc if you're so inclined. You need to add all the voice commands you want yourself and connect them to custom macros.
The mic-enabled voice commands look epic - they really should be a part of the base game and not a mod!

If you're having trouble managing your ai officers stress. I found just running 4U with pepperball guns and stingers works wonders. Grinded it a few times to unlock all my officers perks and de-stress them before i took on elephant.
Yep. I call that strategy "taking the guys out for paintballing." It's a great team bonding activity.
It seems whenever you say your going to do rear cover, someone is summoned to show up when you look away😂
Reminds me of the old SOCOM games when you used a headset to give commands to your teammates. Hoping we see its return in the wake of all these amazing squad based tac shooters.
Somehow managed to clear this mission without anyone even getting hurt, not even the suspects. All arrested. All I'll say is that pepperballs are excellent at de-escalation!
In my experience, I found the pepper balls to be inconsistent. I stick to bean bag shotgun for S rank runs

It's amazing how far this game has come as a spiritual successor to SWAT 4 (and for that matter SWAT 3, which actually had the permadearh mechanic baked into their campaign). The other thing that's taken me by surprise, though, was opening up Zero Hour's news feed on Steam for the first time in a year and discovering that it might also be really good?
Can confirm zero hour is pretty good but not on the level of ready or not yet.

2 things i've learned: the planning info sticks around on the map and whenever I get a moment to breathe I always open the tablet to check the map and orient myself on where I am and what goes where
edit: would love to see more of how you set your kit up and plan for the missions

How easy was the install?
Extremely easy! Ping me on discord if you need a talk through. It runs through a separate.exe, which kinda sucks but makes sense. Voice Attack (program) is 10 bucks. The 'mod' is free off nexus and is really just a profile designed for use with the program
i started using it myself and i was suprised how good it actually is, not perfect but feels smooth to use
Yeah, I am really excited to try it. I was not looking forward to learning the menus for commands. Now I just need a cheat sheet to go with it...
You might want to explore Tacspeak as a potential alternative: it's a free tool specifically pre-configured for RON. One of its notable advantages is the quick setup process, eliminating the need to train Windows voice recognition with your own voice. Tacspeak performs exceptionally well straight out of the box. Numerous comments highlight its superior performance, and personally I've also found it to work better than VA for me.

That opening was amazing! I had to watch it twice to make sure (I don't want to spoil this beautiful intro) that... What I saw, wasn't who I didn't want it to be. Ok now I'll see if I'm right and finish watching. I love this series, it's so cinematic and well edited.

Dude I've just started watching your videos and I have to say I love the methodical strategies you implement with this. I'm former UK Armed Forces (med corps) so while my CQB knowledge isn't completely nil, it's limited compared to yours and I've been enjoying emulating the strategies in my playthroughs too.
Agreed it's a bit clunky because it is a game after all and it's extremely difficult to replicate what you'd be required to do on the field and get the AI to react, especially enemy without compromising on their responsiveness. Finding a good middle ground between braindead vegetables and terminator like AI is no easy feat but given the last iteration of the game, this is the best yet and one of the best demonstrations of utility I've seen from a player navigating the boundaries of this game!

It is hilarious, I just watched Karma's video about the voice mod and went to this video and almost instantly commented saying, "You should use VoiceAttack!" only to see that you started using it mid video hahaha. I think you will find far more enjoyment and success with the mod! Everyone I have seen that uses it says it is a life saver and really makes the game 500000x better.

This mission smoked my Ironman save about a dozen time as of now.
P.S. As much as I love high ready I couldn't bring myself to use it due to atrocious gun-holding animation.
P.P.S. Gotta love it when A.I. kills a suspect who surrendered to you beyond their L.o.S.
These top down views you do to make it look like Door Kickers 2 makes me really want to see an overhaul of Ready or Not that you could play top down. Or maybe I just want Door Kickers 3, idk lol.

I've been following your series to see how others play it. I bought this game at 25euros a year or so back. Seeing how this game turned out the price was an absolute steal, i'm loving the game a lot and can only see it getting better. This is probably the first game that I absolutely have fun playing but always leaves me completely stressed out and drained after just a few hours. VOID's environmental storytelling and music is simply amazing. Those later missions really make me feel like I need just as much therapy as my guys. 😅

Solid run Pairs, my Ironman run ended on this map haha pulling security while getting your dudes to move forward doesn't always vibe.
On a side note, it would be cool to see some kind of TCCC animation when one of your dudes gets downed.

I love RoN, but I think the devs make every level into a Hollywood shootout. For example, the streamer level.
It should've been a single dude who gets swatted, with a very small chance of him having a gun or something.
The suspects are also way too deathwishy. They're meant to be random criminals mainly, but they act like fanatical terrorists.
Yeah, I agree, at least from what I've seen. It's actually putting me off a bit seeing how even in the early missions every suspect seems to be a trigger happy fanatic and levels are full of them. I genuinely preferred the smaller scale missions in SWAT 3 and 4, like arresting a bomb maker in his house or stopping a small gas station robbery.
The streamer mission in this seemed to be a good set-up. Possibly deranged suspect with a hostage. Instead it turned out he was living with a group of ultra fanatical suicidal terrorists
Tbf the lore behind the mission makes that one slightly more understandable. Agreed on every aspect of the conversation. I miss the old park home where it was single house. I wish it was more local or you had external security forces to keep squirters from moving all the around
100% on that. Some scenarios were made too video gamey. It didn't make sense why there were so many gunmen on that streamer level
I get where you're coming from, but the streamer mission as you're describing would be so boring. I mean, there's no challenge or room for meaningful variation if the only threat on the map is one guy who might not even have a weapon. And this game already struggles with replayability in a lot of aspects.
I'm not exactly a fan of how frequent the firefights are either tho dont get me wrong; i feel like if they reduced the amount of suspects with firearms by like 35-40 percent it would strike a nice balance between being believable but still fun and challenging. At least in the early levels
@@yellowsaurus4895 they can give all of them kitchen knives or other blunt objects. You know, things people can easily arm themselves with while still pose a danger if close enough.

I know I'm behind on the times considering that I see Part 5 in my recommends section but I love the cinemograph cutscens you display at the beginning of the videos, maybe also include them again at the end so now when they appear we have some context to them.

In swat 4 there was posible to command even thgrought the body cams of the officers it might work in ready or not to, it will be more efficent to command them from one position instead of going up and down to each team.
Don't think you can (yet) I may be wrong, but I couldn't get it to work.

Are you able to disable the command menu from appearing, so it isn't visible as it steps through the orders?
That would be awesome. I don't think there is a setting for it but there may be a mod. I'll look into it.
I got complacent at the end of this mission.
Split my team in 2 to tackle separate rooms, one team to clear the stairway and the other to clear the double doors to the side of the reception. As they were breaching the pair on the doors got spray down from behind by the last suspect who was roaming, the first losses I'd taken at that point.

The one by Chad Stevens, which is built off Bailey's original framework but adds a tone of variation to phrasing. Easily modifiable as well. Recently updated for 1.0

Is it worth buying just for singleplayer? I don't have a team to play with and discord does not seem to remedy that.
With the release of 1.0, the campaign, improved AI, and slew of modded maps and content, yes. Absolutely worth the buy.

How do you do the simultaneous commands ?
"on my command" option, then select the commands for red and blue.
When you press to go they will both happen.
20:04 that was a risky thing shooting through the door because what would happen if there was a civilian through the door and you hit him by accident
They should add voice command for simple AI command like move and clear stack up or fall in, for me scrolling with mouse wheel take quite a bit.

Pairs what mod are you running to get high ready for the LVAR? I’ve only seen one high ready mod and the LVAR is still low ready for me.
Not a mod, when you open settings, scroll down and there should be an option for low ready style

Feels like in most of the video i watch of this game players not really playing and let the AI do most of the works, was my main cconcern when i was playing swat 4, felt more like a AI manager than a shooting game.
I guess the real game comes if you have 3 mates with you to actually play the game and not just watch AI cleaning the map under comands
