the final breach with the simo detonation, the ghillie guy getting ping ponged by the explosions, somehow didn't get incapacitated which I'm really surprised about after all that flying, btw, I was afraid you were going to get rekt by ghillie guy sneaking through the vents, that's how I died first time I did this mission, the vents from the hallway and projector room at ground level are connected, guy can sneak through it, I had my team stacked on each door, while I was giving orders the guy sneaked through the vent and killled me
seeing the suspect fly in the air when you c2'd basement
I kind of love how they brought back the 2003 rag doll physics from Rainbow Six 3 but just for the C2 door breaches.

You did not have to do Gerard like that. Bro got launched by a C2 in one direction and then got his direction changed mid-flight by another C2. Poor guy.

This map has some really crazy lore hidden throughout it, theres a radio next to a bench outside the house where you can hear someone talking about the MLO (Mariposa Lily Organization) and the suspects notes, drawings, and voice recordings clue you into some real crazy shit going on in the background of the story, like how he says that him and Judge are both a part of the "cycle"
The world-building in this game is pretty incredible. Every time I play 23 Megabytes per Second I notice something new.
Especially when you play as judge
There is a theory based on old menus from the old build of the game that suggests Judge is someone the department never vetted in his departmental transfer. That may be linked to Judges involvement with the USIA and Gerrard.
@@astropunk972The "Uncorruptible Police Program" or something like that. A super loose theory Judge is basically the Ready or Not Doomslayer who was augmented by the USIA. The perfect police, always available and always following orders. Some speculate that MLO are part of that program and are basically USIA MKULTRA agents. Very convenient to have a force that *always follows orders*
Most missions have some deeper lore. The meth side had this "Dig Dig Dig" thing.

That final double breach was INSANE. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the command and when you said "Gold: execute" it gave me the chills.

This map killed my entire team on ironman. I wanded a door and didnt see the tripwire. Ordered them to explosivly breach the door, and my entire team was gone. I managed to conplete the mission solo somehow... my wntire department is pretty stressed about it, but i got to hire 4 new officers with no real consequences.

You don't need the wand to find traps. Just peek the door, it's not enough to set off traps but is enough to see if there is one and disarm it. Just in case you want to take something other than a wand to a mission
Stresses me out to open the door and sit in front of it with potential baddies on the other side.
The enemy AI keeps tripping their own explosives for some reason on this map
When I played it, Gerard Scott opened a door and instantly ate 556 to the face courtesy of one of my AI. great stuff, not like we were supposed to arrest him or anything.

Yesterday I stacked my guys up on a door, peeked it to see if it was wired, and it was. So just as I instructed them to snip the wire, an enemy walks up and goes to open the door, detonating the tripwire and killing my whole team. Really awesome game design lol
Imagine you get raided by the swat at 6 AM and you hear Pairs doing his live commentary

@@patrickdriscoll1632 I just finished Neon Tomb earlier and so far, Mindjot and Greased Palms (Postal office) were absolute hell for me, leagues above the rest difficulty-wise. The Postal office took me 6 tries and I think Mindjot took me like 9 tries or so and I only got a B or C since a squadmate died.
The main problem with these two missions was always the enemy placement randomization. One time, I cleared half the Mindjot datacenter (going from left to back to right) without a single enemy, then the main server room had like 6 enemies who smoked us all. Then, 5 enemies were right near the back offices that were completely clear earlier, then in the next try everything went smooth and then a random guard came around a corner I thought was clear and immediately landed a headshot on me.
Some absolutely cursed runs those were. :D

out of all the gameplay ive seen, even by ex military, you have the most sound tactics, flow, and understanding of room clearing ive seen so far. Good stuff man
We had a real world "engagement" like this in germany just a few months back. Call was for a "helpless person behind a closed door". Well, he attacked the first responders with a gasoline bomb. Burned the first responders badly. The police officers where in the worst shape, no normex gear. On officer was in an incudced coma for month. The chief of the FD was second to arrrive and told the press that the victims could not feel the burns. What sound great at first means serious nerve damage because of the burns.
Was a high rise appartment building. At one point the SWAT team (they even deployed the federal SWAT, GSG 9) was just "fuckit lets resolve this situation" and was just shooting with a shotgun throug the balcony window. The building was on fire at that point. Pretty difficult to resolve this situation because most SWAT members are not SCBA certified. And they did not know if the suspect had more suprises in his appartment. He was barricaded and had a lot of supplies there. Conspiracy dude who prepped for the end of the world.
They found his dead mother in a decomposed state in the appartment. Another person died because the nurses where not able to enter the building. 9 police/emts in critical condition.30 swat officers with smoke inhalation.
The suspect was a constitutionalist...
Did the SWAT teams appprehend or shoot him or did he kill himself?
The campaign is great, the CINEMATOGRAPHY IS INCREDIBLE. Love these little intros got me at the edge of my seat!

I still cannot believe how much this development team managed to turn this game around. I still remember the trainwreck that was their first multiplayer demo and how 90 percent of the tactical shooter crowd immediately gave up on what they assumed would be vaporware and bought copies of Zero Hour instead.
My favorite mission. No other mission has so few suspects feel so dangerous. Great work on the A+

This compound is literally that moment when you in some deep shit and you call the homies to bail you out hard style, no questions asked while in the midst tanking 2 c2's and 2 bangs
The briefs do such a great job at setting the scene and setting the stakes. Seeing the guys burning car tactic in the front yard also raises that pucker factor a little bit and I’m sure the dude exploding himself in the beginning didn’t help😂

Since it seems your striving for realism, here's some feedback on real world SWAT TTPs from real life experience.
1. Any explosion like that at the beginning of service is a hard compromise and should be decisively treated as such. Things like this happen RW. Could be a loud external noise, accidental distaction device deployment, etc. Options are go dynamic, break contact completely, or refer to point 2 (point 2 being most preferable). The absolute worst possible course of action would be continuing under the assumption you are not compromised. That does nothing but give the threat time to preare to leverage a diliberate ambush.
2. Pumping buildings full of CS, bangers and stingers is absolutely doctrinal on high risk situations. My record is 32 CS / Farret rounds into a structure. It may not be sexy or movie like, but that is absolutely the preferred route. No knock / dynamic entry Ops like this RW are extraordinarily rare.
Bro I'm tracking, but I was near certain the initial boom was just a bug (it was). And while using handhelds and diversionary devices is the standard TTP for high risk compromise in SWAT (same for SOF, often times. We just add more HE and thermobarics) the way the game handles that stuff is terrible and instead forces you to dump pepper balls into a dude who is actively shooting at you 🤣
I once was killed on this map because I was wanding a door and Gerard himself walked up to it and set off the trap on his side, killing us both

I completed the iron man mode with no teammate deaths yesterday. Be careful with the port and neon tomb. They were the biggest run killers I had.

The power of wedges really can't be underestimated. Not nearly the most cool or flashy tool, obviously, but controlling where and when contact happens is so incredibly powerful.
Good work brother! When I play this game, I always have your voice in my head telling me what to do. I've had enough practice with the doctrine you've taught us that now I'm pretty good at it! I definitely live more often than I would if I knew nothing. Your channel has been the coolest thing to come out in a long time.
I did this in a duo the other day for the first time… I had just decided randomly to take a shield to try it out… we came in from the basement and I went to peek the stairs and had a fucking heart attack when a random old man started unloading on my shield with an AK 😂

I’m not sure who puts together the cinematic footage but something that might help, when you are doing cinematics try lowering the DPI on your mouse to get a smoother pan when moving the camera, alternatively you can attach a controller for working with those clips (if you use steam) but I also know how annoying the replay mode is, and the quality of these videos for the turn around time is insane.
Whoever puts these together, you are doing a great job!
Agree! It's also worth trying stabilization, it often does an amazing job to make pans smooth af in davinci resolve

Great series brother! I'm playing through the campaign normally at the moment to get a feel for the maps. Then i'm gonna do the same as you and run it ironman. The game allready has heaps of tension but i can imagine iron man hits way harder!
S-Tiering this was a good challenge. No-Pants AK man is a crackshot.
Can’t wait to see how far you can get, iron man makes everything so tense. I think brisa cove is not as hard as people make it out to be, nor mindjot. Greased palms is the first mission that really stumped me.
I think brisa cove is pretty hard but for bullshit reasons. Weird lighting in some of the rooms that make it really difficult to identify suspects imo. Also weirdly bad performance (i was dipping all the way down to like 20fps) even though the map is completely indoors. Plus the bug that makes you always spawn at the super toxic fire escape entry point
@@yellowsaurus4895yeah got a point on the performance and lighting. I think the AI is very manageable on the map though because they aren’t affected by the lighting. Greased palms felt like a dice roll every time I turned a corner 😅

I started wearing heavy armor/ceramic especially for how slow I play on these maps now. Helps a lot more and movement is about the same as light armor. You lose 2 slots but not bad. Also, 30:32 had me laughing so hard 😂.
Yeah, I had to take this map one step at a time, those traps are no joke. Also, love your use of replays especially the ‘wand view’. Keep up the great content!

This map is nuts if you arent careful, and the reason justifiable for the raid... although it sucks its clearly reminiscent of Ruby Ridge which shouldnt have ever happened.

It basically makes the ai more realistic. They surrender more, and hesistate before firing
I lost my entire squad because the AI doesn't back away from the door while using C2. A trap went off and when the smoke cleared there was 4 bodies infront of me :(

Played this last night. All 4 of my guys got blown up after I told em to C2 a door that had a trap (I didn’t check). Was very sudden and kinda disturbing.

Duuude, they could literally add a detective mechanic where after you're done securing the area as a swat team you go in as a detective searching the area for clues and stuff. Could be real cool bruh

Ahh I just played a mission, it was a flashbang that your suspect set off. Mine was a frag. So that explains it. My first time seeing one in the campaign was Sins of the Father. So quite a few missions past this one. I wonder what the spawn rates are
