She is doing this to delay the case going to trial partially to give Trump the delay he seeks. Also she wants to see how the supreme court weighs in on presidential immunity. Because I believe she still have the desire to help Trump avoid prosecution in Chutkan's cases if the long shot of the supreme court giving the case back to Chutkan without touching her ruling or the appeal's court ruling on presidential immunity. If that happens then Chutkan will want to get that trial up and running ASAP on her schedule. If that does happen then you will see her schedule a new trial date that will effectively block Chutkan's case from going to trial before the election. Then Cannon will show that she never intended on keeping that trial date by another indefinite delay.
There is only one thing that could change that. There is a long shot that not only judge Cannon is biased toward Trump. But her inexperience at handling cases. Along with a lack of knowledge of knowing how fast a new trial can get going and be held long before the election that would spell disaster for Trump should that happen.
Cohen is such a hypocrite, he championed and defended Trump's judge but now is crying like a baby when the shoe is on the other foot!

Southern Judicial District of FL is either weak or corrupt. I never heard of a Chief Judge ASKING a judge to recuse where there's a gross conflict of interest. Southern District needs to be investigated. This is not the way justice works.

It is a lifetime appointment and no matter how unqualified she is or how many injustices she commits, it requires an impeachment and conviction in Congress to remove a US Supreme Court Judge from office. It is so hard to do that only one has been impeached and they were not convicted by the Senate. Keep in mind the senate conviction after impeachment requires 67 votes.

One of TWO Judges, Retired Federal Judge of 27 years in New York, Judge Shira Scheindlin, on record, Judge Aileen Cannon is showing undue favoritism to Trump, the very person who gave Judge Aileen Cannon her lifetime appointment to the federal bench, and showing antagonism toward the prosecutors, Jack Smith and he team. Judge Shira Scheindlin went further to say Judge Aileen Cannon cannot move through the case efficiently, that she cannot rule on motions in a timely manner. Judge Aileen Cannon continues to give Trump the delay he so covets because his goal all along is to push his prosecutions beyond the November 2024 election.
