Meh, that was what I expected. Biden shows his age with his speech patterns, but that didn't tell me he is anymore mentally unstable than Trump. Biden did horrible. Don't care what the excuses were, he did horrible. I could have answered some of the questions better than Biden, and I didn't do any debate prep. Meh, that was what I expected. Biden shows his age with his speech patterns, but that didn't tell me he is anymore mentally unstable than Trump.
Trump didn't answer any question directly and lied so much he might as well have stumbled over his words as well. Just because he may have enunciated his words better doesn't mean squat when he basically said nothing himself.
I understand it is pretty unprecedented to not go with the presidential incumbent but this was ALWAYS going to be the issue, no matter how his administration performed. They really needed to curate a younger candidate as soon as Biden was elected.
What people need to also realize is that you are voting for an Administration. Even with Biden's age, I trust those around him to hold up the ideals of our democratic apparatus and the constitution.
Trump surrounds himself with the worst but who are smart enough to erode our democratic ideals, to trash the constitution.

I'm so frustrated with Biden in this debate. The one thing he had to do was come across as competent and he did not do that. This debate was a massive blow to democrats and has me worried about seeing another Trump presidency, possibly ,from inside prison. Bad night for the dems. 😡

My worst fears of this debate have been realized; Trump lying unfettered while Biden struggling with halting, quiet speech and looking tired from his day job.

And worse - its not like Biden and his people didn't know what to expect. There was no attempt to go at Turnip's big lies - he tried to shoot down a few small ones - basically, Biden blew it.
Biden did horrible. Don't care what the excuses were, he did horrible. I could have answered some of the questions better than Biden, and I didn't do any debate prep. I also could have countered Trump's lies better. It was a pathetic night for America. If independents vote based on what they saw in the debate, I'm fearful what may happen in November.
