      Judge Cannon has stepped right over showing favor to actively working as a second attorney on direct behalf of Defendant Trump. I don't know who can successfully tear Cannon off of that case, but if there ever was a solid argument for doing so, it is THIS CASE.

    The fact we see the need for that judge (Cannon) to recuse herself instead of having a strong oversight, that dictates the action by specific rules (experience level, knowledge required in the case, etc.) shows how inadequate and weak is our Judiciary.     Harry, help me out with this behind the scenes question: How do you interpret the decision by her betters on that District Court to assign her a quasi-remote courthouse without fellow judges from whom she could get on-the-scene mentorship and a build a sense of camaraderie? Had she already angered or so put-off her betters that she was sent there to flail and fail? People should look at the CV of Chief Judge Altonaga - very particularly her substantive judicial experience before being nominated to the Federal District Court. That is the kind of judge that I would want hearing my case if I was in federal court.

    It’s one thing to read about judicial lapses in the past (Dred-Scott, etc.), but to watch it unfold before us in real time is devastating to our faith in the judiciary. That it’s happening in the highest court in the land, with no appeal, is a telling omen of where we’re headed as a nation.
