    I gotta say it......
    I think this is the most practical off road /everyday driver build I’ve ever seen.
    Now if I could just afford one.

    Definitely the most badass gen 3 Tacoma I’ve seen. I’m a fan

      But nothing really fits, the gap between the hood and aftermarket fenders are really bad, and between the grill and fender

    As a Jeep geek I have to admit that is one seriously nice Tacoma! Really well done. Scott

    Hey guy, just discovered your channel a couple weeks ago while looking up Tacoma mods. I have a 3rd gen with zero mods at the moment. Just relocated to Salem OR from Chattanooga TN and have a baby boy due in January so until I have financial breathing room again I will be drooling over your rig. I really enjoy your DIY attitude and general know how.

    I love your videos. They are lots of fun and I like the family atmosphere. Just ordered my 2018 TRD Off Road yesterday and I'm excited about doing a few MODs as I can afford them. Rock Sliders will be my first. thanks!

    tbh.. I clicked for the Jeep JK on the background (video thumbnail) just to see if it’ll be part of this video... but nada. Great rig though. Love the front bumper. Also, love that you guys are out in nature - baby crib and all 👍🏽

    Hey Max, So I'm sure you have heard it ALL already about how cool your truck is. But I want to add my .02 to it> Out of all of the many thousands of different Tacoma Builds, I think That the way your looks is my favorite. Its the unique "Stance" that it has from the front. Particularly the Baja fenders with long travel IFS, Toyota grille and Hood combo. Love it! I'd like to mirror the front end over to my Tacoma. Thanks for the vids Max.

    When you were talking about the wheels I was saying to my friend " that truck would look amazing with some scs ray10s in bronze" and then you said that you were thinking the same haha. I am going with that setup on my tacoma. Its bbp and will look good with the ray 10s in dark bronze

    I picked up a set of "blemished" SCS F5s in bronze off their page on TacomaWorld. Got a great deal on the whole set and the "blemishes" aren't even noticeable. Taking them for powder coating flat black or gunmetal next month.

    I too liked the SCS Ray 10's and Methods, but I ended up with some MB 352 wheels. Not sure if you have a Discount Tire out there, but they occasionally run some really good deals. When you can find the deals, they're about half the price of the Method's or Ray 10's. Love the build! Can't wait to see what's next :)!

    loving my 2016 tacoma trd offroad, waiting a few months and after christmas I'm planning to get the CBI T3 front bumper full grille protection in aluminum.. with a smittybuilt XRC 10000lb COMP synthetic line it will be my first mod. planning to buy a new front bumper cover, and cut/paint it at home with colormatch paints (fillable rattle cans). theyre not cheap, but it'll do for a home job.. that way i can keep the stock bumper cover for re-sale if I ever do..

    I drive a 2017 Ford F-150 Lariat, but I still appreciate your truck, bro. I’m sure the Ford haters will swarm, but I don’t care. I have plans to go in the same direction. I wanted to upgrade to a Raptor in a couple years, but the stupid markup cost isn’t worth it when I can just upgrade my fully loaded Lariat with components that overshadow what’s in the stock Raptor. I just need to make sure I don’t lose all my road trip capabilities - which is my girlfriend’s biggest fear. Ha. I really don’t know how you don’t have more subs. You’re not a rich d-bag who just strolls into a dealership or shop every video and pays someone else to do everything. It’s so much more real when we can see the effort and time you put into it. Thanks for showing this generation that it’s possible to not be a pussy. 👍🏻

      Just ordered a new 18 DCLB getting a bit nervous about wheel base since noone else seems to have them really built for offroad... Would be great if the two of you did a compare of each others lift kits for the layman to help understand plus and minus....

    Sweet truck, but synthetic winch line is not easier to maintain at all. Not sure where you heard that from. Every time you get mud on it you are supposed to take it off the winch and wash it off with water because the sand from the mud will cause micro tears in the rope over time. The Sun's uv rays also eat away at it so even if you never use it you'll have to replace it eventually. With steel line you literally don't have to do anything after you use it.

    @edwardbirtulescu5289 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video! After installing the lift/suspension do you still have the "taco lean"? If so, how were you able to address it? Thank you

    • @Maxx.Powell
      @Maxx.Powell  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can correct the Taco lean with coilovers like mine by addition additional turns to the coil over collar. Essentially, increasing preload on the spring which makes it stiffer and higher on that one side. This actually improves ride quality as well because you're compensating for the additional weight on the drivers side

    • @edwardbirtulescu5289
      @edwardbirtulescu5289 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Maxx.Powell Maxx than you so much for the reply! Adjusting the front coil over to compensate for the driver "lean" did that take care of the rear lean as well? Or are the rear leaf packs side oriented. Driver leaf pack stiffer than the passenger side. I really appreciate your help!

    Please take that front license plate out of your cab - in the event of a accident that plate is extremely thin and sharp and will do massive damage to you or your passengers - plus its not even a legal place to put it so your not going to avoid tickets anyway. Hey max great videos I’m a new subscriber, your one of 3 people I follow, same interests, so your doing something right. Did you have this setup prior to your fiberglass fenders and if so what did have to fit those tires? CMC & pinch weld? I’d love to hear more details as a Tacoma owner wanting to fit 35”’s on stock fenders and the 2.5 king kit! Keep it up bro

    Just installed total chaos UCAs ( uniball), total chaos race series stock length lca, king 2.5 extends coil overs front and back, Deaver springs in rear, diff drop, on kmc enduro 16X8 with 285/75/16. Had alignment. Almost to factory spec. My truck sometimes has dog tracking feeling when driving on the freeway. And mostly always driving home from wherever. Some people are saying that the uniball need to brake in or some say to had more camber. Did you have any changes on handling?

Also, do you think that my truck is acting squirrel when driving home from the camber on the freeway road is making my truck hard to still? Do you think removing my sway bar on my stock length lca race series by total chaos
