I just this week bought a 2019 Tacoma TRD Offroad 4X4 Double Cab from my neighbor; the truck for all intents and purposes is brand new as it only has 2075 miles on it!! Hell it still has that 'New Car' smell.... So I've been watching TH-cam vids to see what all is available as far as Mods go and I'm totally blown away!! I had no idea what people have been doing with these rigs. My last truck was a 1990 SR5 4X4 that is still running today, and it didn't have ANY of the new 'bells and whistles' that my new truck has; in truth I don't even know what all the buttons and switches do or what the capabilities of this new rig are and it hasn't had any Mods at all, it's so much more advanced that my 1990 was.... And to find that there is so much after market stuff available is mind blowing!!! I feel a little like 'Rumple Stiltskin' who went to sleep and woke up 30yrs later to a whole new world.... There are definitely a few Mods that I'll consider but I really don't know where to begin, there's just SOooo much out there, besides I'm not sure I can actually afford any of them.......
19:31 that sound mat install is the best thing for taco's . The 2017 model was improved but still the doors are so light & air'y feeling when you open/close them and still has road noise. Something i need to do with my 17'.
I would love to see the cost of each "add on" to these trucks. Using one 5mm hex wrench to remove most of the bolts is genius! These people need to talk to the major auto manufacturers!
19:30 awesome upgrade. I did exact same thing, (noise deadening/weather insulation combo) on my old '03 Civic - it was a game changer. Keeps the car insulated and reduces road noise - rivals luxury cars. Money well spent.
@@statik47 it was floor underlayment, the stuff used for floor installation. I went with the premium version that reduces noise and provide thermal insulation. For parts of the car that have large cavities, I simply used home insulation or carpet foam. There's no magic how car manufacturer's accomplish this, they used practically the same stuff.
Great show. I will say that 75% of the stuff shown is definitely, 100% in the "nice to have" category. Wow. The stuff people are spending money on. You don't need 50k lumens of lighting. Ever. Don't blow money on it. But there are definitely a lot of cool camping gadgets here. No one cares if you have a "Pro" hood. The important thing, I think, is on the suspension that people are putting on their trucks. It's the basis of everything you do. Literally. Dude unless you're off roading, overlanding or desert running a ton... you don't need this stuff. If you want bigger tires, etc just get the cheap spacer lifts. If you want to go camping four times a year - pick what's best for you. Seat covers...nah. But a Fox 2.0 well yea that may be a reasonable upgrade. I think Tacoma Beast did a great job with the video!! I love your stuff and keep it up!
I started selling toyotas 27 years ago There is no vehicle I'm aware of with higher re-sale value. For less than $200,000 ofcourse. There are numerous visual design features making the Tacoma the obvious choice when buying s pick up. You'll pay a little more in the beginning, but easily get the difference back if you trade or sell it, God forbid crash it. God bless the Tacoma!!!
I bought a Tacoma SX. Not built for speed, but longevity. No mud flaps. It gets muddy easily. But runs well. I might trade it in three years from now because the seats in back aren't full seating. I should get a good trade in deal for it in 2023.
I don't think anybody mentioned it but those stripes on the back of that Tacoma at 28:08 look really good. I might do something like this on my 4Runner and black out the tailgate.
My dad has a 2016 Tacoma. The guy that sold it to him sold it at stock price and he kept all the mods on it. Always funny when people stop and ask if that's the newest model. Nah just has custom upgrades lol. He refuses to let the truck go even though the dealership around us is offering more than what he payed for.
Well, I finally paid my house off and slowly and with a lot of research I'm building my 2007 Taco with the bumpers, grill and headlights. Hopefully completed this year.
The last person you interviewed in this video at Sema 2019 milk tea Tacoma I am looking for some advice on the refrigerator freezer Can you tell me what he was running in that Tacoma Any information would be extremely helpful. Thank you very much Ross Bertram

How many of those builds had winches? I think i saw 2 out of five. Need a phone app to call the light bars to signal, if they get lost while hiking. Which one do you think is the most "sturdy"? Some of the overland channels I watch the guys are 50-100 miles off pavement.Getting back is really important & some of that tech looks a tad fragile. Neat stuff tho thanks for posting
Jesus Christ, this are some bad ass Tacos!!!!. I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 fully equipped double cab, and I can't wait to start building it up, is going to take a while cause it's a lot of money and time that it has to be invested, but I love the way they look and ride!!!!!.
Love the Pelican lock boxes on the Meso build. Used Pelican tough boxes in the military(airborne infantry) and they never failed. Edit: man the interior products Meso is coming out with are awesome as well. Especially that bolt in MOLLE bar across the back!
Those were some cool builds. I like the sand color but I'd like to see more variety. I'm more of a blue guy hence my cavalry blue '19 Taco. The white was totally boring. It seems like a lot of the guys building taco's haven't had kids yet...those tents don't work so well with a bigger family. I only wish I could flat tow my taco behind my motorhome. I'm crossing my fingers that the next-gen taco allows that. I'd hate to be forced into a Gladiator, I don't trust the reliability of Jeeps, I can't tell you how many busted Jeeps I've towed out with the various Toyota trucks I've owned over the years. They talk mad trash on the way in, then they are your new best friend when they break.
Both of you guys are cool AF.. I bought some lights from tacomabeast last week. At first I was worried bc I never ordered from you. Then bam 2 days later delivered to the Big Island of Hawaii. Rob you da man too!!
Every time I see these highly modified Tacos the only thing I can think about is how much weight all that stuff adds. I'm running 33x12's on a '17 Tacoma. I feel the shit out of those tires and mine is a manual so it has shorter gearing than the autos. I can only imagine how bogged out the engine is pushing full armor, bed racks, roof top tents, campers, bed roll-out systems, swing outs, probably over 500lbs of gear...all on 35/37 inch tires. Doing that to this truck pretty much limits it to being an offroad toy and not practical for daily driving.
@@tacomabeast ahh, interesting. Doesn't it reduce ground clearance tho? Is there a certain type of leaf spring that people get when they do this so they don't lose their suspension lift?
@@tacomabeast unfortunately I'm still saving up for a Tacoma, but once I get one the end game will be a prerunner. so closer to Dune bombing than Backwoods camping tho I will probably still have a roof-top tent. I'm just trying to learn as much as I can right now to get a good plan together
That Meso truck had me at “hello”
No joke

Accessories for these trucks can be pretty high. Really no way around it if it's quality and made in the USA.

I need to stop watching these videos before I blow my savings and end up renting forever lol
I need to stop watching these videos. The nurses at the sperm bank are starting to give me strange looks

Did it improve your mpg?
get out while you can, it’s already to late for some of us
Wow! I've got options for living in my truck when I become homeless.
This is what I told my gf all the time ha! Use to have a 2018 Tacoma and now have an even bigger tundra!

This is what I say just need a super charger and I’ll be set
trade it in for a Van, and no need for all the locks :D
Appreciate the free content as always! If only money grew on trees, id love a go fast tent!

At 11:33 the button panel, is that custom or can that be purchased?
These are some pretty nice trucks. Most of the trucks I see here in Southern California have mowers and landscaping gear in the back.
10:33 "Is that....a gameboy advance" 10:40 "nah Im just old"
So the question i want to ask is how'd the heck you get into the tent?? Ladders?? have one 2 many cold snacks fall off the ravine trying to climb up??
I gotta find a video that shows that jack or well those big jacks being used, how in the world would one lift those heavy things?
Trooper2221 Its called a High Lift Jack if you want to look up videos of them in use
They are all awesome! I liked the interior of the MeSo one. The Milk Tea Taco is wow. 👌🏽
With all those bright lights we can call to aliens.

Maybe in future I’ll do that

Any mods for daily driver/work truck? All I can think of is some bumpers and lights.
Suspension
That white tacoma is goals
Awesome video bro!
Lol that first guy when the bed of your truck is safer than your cab there may be a problem
is all that LED lights legal in all the states? i think KY is ilegal for the highway even if they are off. thanks

glad you enjoyed them!
Nasty builds. My mind is blown away. Too many mods to choose from. I gotta get that fridge
I’m curious to know approximately how much money all the upgrades cost. Great video

oh how plebeian, the center console was "plasma cut." I only have custom installs that are phase 2, atom ray cut
