This Cadillac has been parked for over 25 years. My plan is to get the old caddy going and drive her out under its own power. Follow along and see how it turns out. - บันเทิง
Nice work. Love the 73 model before the change of the enclosed rear quarter window
I would agree, makes for a better cruiser on nice days 😊
Great job would love to be driving that around you can't beat those old Cadillacs
One of my Favs!! '73's and 69's
Love the car I sure hope you guys can restore it and make it a nice running and looking cadillac again I am a huge cadillac nut my favorites are 1947 to 1976
I hope to get the old gal back to 100% one day.. 😁
Great old Cadillac. It turned out looking pretty cool. Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks, we had fun getting the old gal going again. 👍
Great video and awesome car! She really didn't clean up half bad.
Nice work! And memories with the kiddos to boot.
Thanks you 😊
14:10 - I had the AC/PS belt snap on me on the way home one day. Yes I can attest to the fact that slowing down to turn into my driveway was very difficult in my 73. They are nice cars, I know this video is 11 mos old now, and since then, I hope you’ve been able to make some progress.
We’ve done a some minor things to it, I’ve had other projects take priority over working on it. Its spending time in a barn it actually fits it at the moment. So she’s dry and out of the environment.
That is sweet, 74 was probably the cut off.
Got love theold caddy
Yep, and sold ones are real hard to find these days as most have been crushed and sent to steel mills by now/
Nice job on the car man.Have a safe new week.
Thanks 👍
@@Yellowdogsworld you're welcome.
Great job and thanks for sharing! Such cars from long gone times must be saved from the crusher and preserved! You cannot go wrong when buying this rig! I would recommend to look around on a local junk yard or in the internet for a good trunk lid. You should be able to find one; there are still lots around! Maybe you can even buy more sheet metal that can be cut out from a junker and welded in place in your car! It worth a try. Please make a follow up; I want to see how your project progresses! Subscribed and thumbs up!
I plan too..👍
Round headlighted caddy coupe
Wow! That cleaned up real nice at the end of your video. So nice to see young kids like your son, appreciating classic cars. I’m curious what state you’re in? I’m in California.
Thanks, Im quite proud of my side kick. We are in South Carolina.
I was watching your video, you said that there is the fog pump that locked up on you exactly what is that for on a 73 caroline full 72 engine
The smog pump was an emissions device that took some of exhaust from the engine and sent it back into the intake side so it could re-burn some of the exhaust gases. This helped the 472 engine meet emissions standards of the day. The pump did not add any power to the engine, instead it robbed power but in theory did make the car more fuel efficient. In short smog pumps are no longer necessary on todays cars but were common on automobiles of that era.
So much for that I just bought a 73 Cadillac, and I noticed the pump is on there but there's no holes connected to it. I can feel the the are coming from the pump. But there's nothing hooked up.the smog pump. Thank you.
I’ve found by now most people have disabled these pumps in one way or another. If you can find an adequate size hose, I’d probably plug it off and let it roll. Congrats on acquiring a 73 caddy 😊
Trunk deck lid
50 year old everything
You from Michigan ? Kalamazoo is my
Home town
Well, I can say I’ve been to Kalamazoo, Bells brewing company’s beer garden to be exact. But to be honest I had some friends that lived in Ann Arbor, I somehow ended up with the Michigan hoodie on one of our trips up that way… I’m a South Carolinian myself.. love visiting Michigan though.
I'm a Cadillac dude but I would say that it's a donar car
I sort of agree, I've been on the fence as what to do with the old gal. It's a solid car until you get the rear deck and trunk... if I could find a donner with a good rear end "About like finding a unicorn at this point" it would not be that hard to repair. Fabricating all the sheet metal it needs is probably beyond my current skill set. "unless I just go at it and learn as I go"
Dude great video, too much back ground noise.
Sorry about that, I had to have a generator with me most of the time, thats probably what your hearing.
That’s a “cold” start.
Yea, no kidding a 25 year cold start 😊
