Great explanation. A little note on kill shots though - at 16:09, your support team rolls 6 + 2 (8) against a defense of 4 total (after modifiers, cover and so on, which is 0 in that case). This means that if you roll at least equal or more to the double of the total defense, the unit is instantly killed. The fire group would be destroyed instead of just being flipped over. Page 7 of the rules (in bold), just above damage on heavy vehicles.
Great video, but just one point. Where you show the support team tile it says that the symbol it has means machine gun capability, it actually means suppression capability.
Hello I hope you are watching this. It is about light vehicles. Did you use the heavy vehicle markers to destroy the US half-track? So one hit to damage the second hit to destroy? The game doesn't have any side armor for light vehicles? If you fire at a light vehicle with a squad do just automatically destroy it? Tried looking on the web, no joy!🤔🤔👍👍👍
If I'm not mistaken, I believe that when the die rolls amount to a tie in an assault, no units take damage and the attacking one returns to the square that it launched the assault from.
The modifier is the stat on the unit. It's the yellow one on the left at the bottom center of the tile. Page 8 of the rulebook shows another example with the modifier circled.
@@82zamma82 Yeah, I see what you mean. Initially both German and American units have a +2 modifier. It's only when the German officer unit is wounded that the value reduces to +1. So I think that in the initial assault it should have been +2 on both sides.
Harsh Rules - I have had this game purchased and in the box for a long time and been wanting to play it but am waiting for a clear video instruction. Are you still planning on doing a follow up?
at 19 min you used the Germans to move within the Americans zone of control to pick up the files. this is an illegal move. you can move in and out of but not thru zoc.
Absolutely awesome. I learned more with this video than reading the Manual.

Thanks. I'll check it out and see if I can correct.

Great tutorial! Will you be doing any videos on the new Heroes of Stalingrad, showcasing the new rules and elements?
Maybe next year. I'm super swamped through January. Looks really cool though!
REALLY great channel.
Wonky rules - no overwatch?
Great stuff. Purple on blue is sorta hard to read, but no biggie. THX! :)

During an assault, if the result is a tie, does the attacker move back one ?

Nice hard work!! Realy well done!
Hi Ben!
I can't understand why German Leader got +2 modifier in Close Combat.
May you explain it to me?
Thanks. Paolo.
It's a modifier from the card that was played.
@@harsh-rules look in 18:35 - the US Unit has +1 modifier and the GER has +2
No cards played.
Why this difference?

pretty sure you still don't have enough order tokens on each side, 3 per side plus bluff marker
Thanks, I've got to clean this up and get out Part 2.

Yes. More is on the way.

There's doing a 40k version, at least it's sci fi...
Star Wars imperial assault is similar with miniatures
