This is a *Great* tutorial on how to play this game. I've looked at 3 to 5 video tutorial, including for the PC video game version, and this video by far is the most clear (clicked) for me. Thanks.
I really like the concept, the boards and instructions look eye catching..all important features for me. I will say that I feel that figures add greatly this type of gaming experience, and if I have any criticism at all of the game , it's that I personally prefer when a game is extensible and/or has available figures (mostly because I have a better chance of keeping my son interested). Great review and breakdown of the game!
We so badly need "Heroes over Stalingrad" I really need me some T34 and KV-1 action. Maybe next year if I where to guess they'd kickstarter it once they have dealt with the new HoN card game. I would think that if they put out a Soviet "HoS" that they would put the game out in Russian, then I could get a copy mailed to my inlaws in Ukraine and the rulebook would be something they could read. The cool part about the HoN system is its mostly numbers and graphics which are readily understood no matter the language barrier. I am so excited to play this with my Ukrainian family (they don't speak English but are awesome people).
I have since got the Heroes of Stalingrad and I have played it in Ukraine with my brother in law who is fighting to protect Ukraine right now. Instead of thinking about old KV tanks I am feeling incredibly blessed with the Leopard tanks Poland and Finland are sending in support. Both countries know what it is like to be squeezed by big neighbors. I am knee deep reading a book in the library about Finland in 1939. Hopeful that isn't too political. Really appreciate what you do Bart. Wishing you and your family an awesome 2023!
Check out RIPT. An online t-shirt selling web site. Sad news is they post a shirt for 24 hours and then it's gone. Occasionally they will bring back a big hit but at a slightly higher price.
In your 'review' you should point out how badly written the rules are. The rulebook for this game is atrociously written. It is ambiguous and FULL of errors and incomplete information. The company has not addressed this with a proper errata nor an updated pdf of a corrected rulebook. You cannot go online for new scenarios, there are none. The expansion they released has NO rules included for it and the online rules for it are NOT finished or complete. You need to buy corrected decks of cards and tokens. The publishers/game designers do NOT deserve to be supported by you buying this game.
I received the game when it was brand new. It’s been years but don’t remember struggling with the rules. That being said it sounds like you know the system much better then me.

Thanks Knessi. This is a wonderful series of games...they have a lot of content out there.
Hey there, randomly stumbled onto this video, but I grew up in Colorado too. I love the Michael Garmon gallery.
They had a store inside Southwest Plaza. Loved it. Grew up in Evergreen. 🏔
Thanks Chief!
Great job!!!

The cardboard does look fabulous Sal. That was said in a sing song voice. The best thing has been all the expansions. Just so much content. Bart
Loving these videos, very well done!
Thanks Joost
They could have shadows over Okinawa, with Yokai, Oni, and Yurei, or get a little uh-huh with some Kitsune wanting to eat G.I. Liver.
Very nice idea to allowing game play in the pacific
I can now picture Shadows Over Vietnam or Korea
Muito bom vídeo. Sou do Brasil e esse foi o melhor que achei
Thank you very much. Obrigado

HoN card game. What? I missed this news. I need this now! And yes, moving to the East Front would be grand.

Based on recent forum postings, it seems Heroes of Stalingrad is indeed being planned. Hype!

Looks like they misspelled Battalion on the cover of the rule book? Or is that how Cthulhu would spell it?
French spelling I believe
Chief how about all the Rat Patrol scenarios with a Desert Set. Or am I just showing my age?
Yes and yes. I loved Rat Patrol. It came on at such odd times when I was a kid it was like gold. Need to see if they have that on dvd.
They are on dvd.. I have Season 1
Yes! Shake & Bake baby
Hey Chief. Where'd you get that shirt? Love it!
