Nicely done tutorial! Just a quick tip for others regarding the board setup. You’ll notice that each scenario page lists the required terrain tiles and their quantities in a particular numbered order starting with #1. Pegasus Bridge for instance lists the curved river tiles first, the straight river tiles second, etc. Sorting and laying the tiles per the listed order will help out tremendously. Much less of a chance of finding out you’re “missing” a river tile and then having to flip over all of the laid tiles in search of it. Less time setting up means more time to play Memoir 44. Always a plus in my book!

At the tactical level - if you've got to have miniatures I would watch Tide of iron video and see if you like that. The rules are more advanced than M44. For a formal miniatures game, I've heard good things about Flames of War and I have Axis & Allies miniatures, but haven't had a chance to study the rules. My impression is that these games are much simpler to play like M44. If you can give up the miniatures and live with markers, give Heroes of Normandie a try. It's fun and the art is nice and colorful. If you can live without WWII, the same designer did The Great War which is WWI and its pretty good as well.
