    We all have those moments but what makes a night and day difference, just move, moving phisically will change your emotions combined with reminding what you are grateful for. The more walk meditation I do the faster bad energy disipates. I also like to smile while doing it.

      @@czowiekkontraswiat8279 Being grateful releases endorphins and serotonin and it actually reliefs a lot of physical and mental pain, the more you do it the more benefits you will get, that is why a lot of people meditate, it releases a bunch of positive chemicals in your brain. Letting negative thoughts control you has no benefits to your mental health.

You woke up today and get another chance to see a new year, new opportunities and ways to change your life? I’m not dismissing nor trying to invalidate your feelings, because believe me i’ve been suffering from severe mental health issues for over a decade now. I’ve been in very dark places, so i’m well aware of how you feel, to an extent.
      However, you HAVE to try, and you HAVE to want to get better. Life isn’t easy, no, but it is not all pain and suffering. I’m sending you love and light, and hope you get the professional help, or any kind of help really, you need, because you deserve happiness, we all do ❤️

    This was, like someone else said, perfect timing for me. I got a bad test score and was not feeling great at all. After watching this and taking time to reflect, I’m going to try to find better ways to make sure that I can handle these kinds of situations without beating myself down and feeling bad.     The beginning is so personal the holding back tears or going to the bathroom crying - been like that those past days including anxiety and overwhelm and it's regular ah. It really is perfect timing and I really need it, thank you so much. I hope it's only this start of the year that'll be so depressing, I'm hoping for the best

      I knew winter break was going to be hard for me because without a distraction I think too much which makes my anxiety spike. I’ve almost make it through though :)

    Some of my bad 'days' have lasted a few years - and looking back, I now understand that I needed professional help. When it's truly just a day or so, repeating a verse from the Bible helps calm and focus me. One of my favorites is, "When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you (God). From Psalm #56 verse #3. Happy new year to all!

    This came on my for you page and I really needed it. Just recently I broke my foot and had to take a break from track. Im a big runner and running is my coping mechanism so it really frustrated me when I got injured. This really helped. Thank you Psych2go!!

    From my experience, thinking about the person I like, physical movement, and doing things I enjoy make bad days at least a little bit better. It might not work for others but that’s what I always do when I’m down. And remember, there’s always something positive to come out of a day, even if it’s small.

    What I do during tough days is remembering what happened today that was positive. It may doesn't work for everyone, but it's a good thing to do.

    Perfect timing, spent the holidays alone. Throughout this year everybody I held close has left or grown apart, friends, lover and even family. Sometimes I feel like I can't take it anymore, but then I think of past good days, and that more are sure to come and it'd be a shame to miss out on them.

It is hard to remember to do these things, especially during tough days, but it is essential to keep trying.     I hate feeling insecure on the inside ( but acting confident outside). Because of my dad I've literally become a robotic and emotionally detached teen. My mom is the sweetest person but I can't help but constantly respond in anger if she does something I don't like, meanwhile I just completely ignore 'the dad' or back chat. He wants me to change but when I point out his flaws he tells me that there's nothing wrong with him. He's narcissistic, hypocritical, verbally abusive, a gaslighting, manipulative piece of human and I seriously can't wait till I get emancipated this year. Please pray for me to get into university so I can ditch this hellhole. I'm way too mentally enevated and emotionally tired to keep 'being strong'.

    my brother passed away today. it still feels like the most surreal thing i have ever gone through. i nearly forget that it even happened just because of how insane the thought is to me. im honestly scared. scared of the day where it will finally hit me completely.

    Perfect timing here too - 2021 was the worst year of my life. Every single day from start to finish had me feeling this way. Depression, anxiety, eating disorder, burnout, psychotic break, then had to be shipped back to France to my parents from Canada, went to a psychiatrist who did not care to know the context and misdiagnosed me and put me on prozac, that since im predisposed to bpd AND have adhd, triggered a 6 month long manic episode and worsened my hyperactivity. I try to practice mindfullness, grattitude, and am seeking a new psychiatrist despite my cptsd caused by several mental health professionals gaslighting me or betraying my trust... Thanks for always providing helpful tips and information because even reading the comments make me feel a little less alone 😢💜

    I went into my breakup knowing that the pain would feel unbearable, but I knew that staying in the relationship would continue to smother my self-esteem and zest for life! But, I knew that the pain would eventually be over, even if it took months to subside. And I have to be mindful enough to notice and be aware of the moments when I feel relief from having somebody tell me negative things in my ear for what became a majority of the time. I learned that when going into a relationship with someone you don't know well, you will most often get the best version of them during the first three to four months, and then those minor glimpses of their past baggage show themselves more frequently and can sometimes become full blown in someone who is unwilling to hear your side of how you are experiencing the relationship. When someone who becomes so controlling that they assume the worst about you, and claim that they can hear your thoughts (when you are actually thinking opposite, and positive thoughts) is a battle that you will never win, and I threw in the towel and said, "I give up!". I gave up repeating how he was hurting me, and it didn't matter what I did or said; if I did all of the right actions, he would start focus on my thoughts, claiming that he could hear what I was thinking; talk about control and manipulation! But ever since my mother passed away six years ago, and overcoming major depression, I knew that I could handle a breakup, because I have gotten through worse things in life and became my own best friend. I learned to see myself as a separate entity from myself, the way that I would talk to a friend, and the way that I would treat a friend with compassion and understanding. At the same time, I see myself as a whole, as one unique entity and confide in God. So just live your life day by day, and act and speak out of love and kindness; eventually that love will come back to you, and after acting in kindness to every person you interact with, you will find a few that will offer much kindness and support back to you. 🙂❤

    Yesssss! I used to be this way ..but i started meditation and it works out to be a positive day. And when bad things may happen throughout the day, i ask God for to be calm and to guide me and yeah!! therapist!! Love mine 💜 wkng on my borderline personality bc it was causing me so much bad relationships,! God bless!!!

    I'm not having a great day. I got a severe telling off from my boss and was the recipient of many snide comments from colleagues sitting in front of me. I feel demotivated and incapable of performing at my job which then made me spiral into doubting all skills I have (which tbh seems to be nothing). The weight of all the financial burdens I have are killing me too. This video eased a bit of the pain, so thank you for that :)

    Last year exactly this time I was struggling with depression. Although I maganed to overcome it , I still feel sad and unmotivated. All these mental health issues are the result of the fact that I am still unemployed....

    Largely correct, but also somewhat naively simplistic. I could write more why, but one - for now, serious depression meeting DSM or ICD10 criteria can last for months. It is not the case of just having a "bad day".

    When you are at a low point; it can seem like everyone around you is happy except you, therefore you can also feel really lonely and strange. but remember, everyone had one of those times in their life before. You're not the only one that sprinted towards somewhere private to cry "miserably" . Don't feel scared to reach out to people. Holding on to life at your lowest can be really difficult, but strong people get over difficult times and you're such a strong person! I know I'm just a stranger but I'm good at listening, so if you ever want to vent to someone or just want to chit-chat with a stranger just reach out to me. Lots of love

    just got a heartbreak two days ago when a girl I liked already had someone on her mind. I'll start the new year focusing on self-growth and make ready for true love (not expecting it anytime soon but it's ok, I just hope I can be as ready as possible as soon as possible, while pacing myself to be mindful and not rush it)
