Are they any grabs, throws, and/or takedowns in Bo? I have seen all of your videos about Bo training and have practice most of them looking forward to seeing more if they are more movements to be learned or just more advanced combos. I have been using PVC pipes covered over by pool noodles for full contact sparing and different weighted wooden/metal sticks for solo training.
Down the line, we might get into a few basic takedowns. Yes, you can use the leverage of the weapon with well placed sweeps to take down an opponent. Thanks for training with me!
Do you think it is possible for a toy company or any company to make a light up and talking Bo that could teach proper footwork and movement from basic katas all the way to the most advanced movements? With technology where it is today I think a Bo staff could know where it's users hands are and where in space it is (in relation to the ground and it's users body) to tell the person where to step and where to move each hand as well as how to do so. With your knowledge and the right technology anyone could buy such a staff and train the entire art at there own pace. The staff is large to the point of housing all of the needed technology and counter balancing weights so it feels and performs like a normal staff. Other weapons might suffer from not being able to hold everything that is needed yet but soon they all can benefit from similar groundbreaking marks if perfected in the Bo first.
I am sure it would be very possible. But, the market would be so small for something like this, it almost doesn't warrant the significant time and investment in creating this technology, at least for now. But, I love the innovative idea!
Cardiovascular fitness no doubt about that but I’m noticing that in a lot of the strikes your balance I’m leaning more. The purpose of the staff is also to work on your stances
I like it. It's like a boxing workout just with a bo. Putting weight behind the strikes, pivoting, repetition. Ima go do it now.
Excellent.
Hi master this class nice 👍👍👍👍

What exercise can I do instead of push ups?
Dips all you need is a low bench or a chair
