Perfect timing! My RP4 pro just showed up in the mail today and I was about to watch your older RP3+ set up guide when this popped up. This community wouldn't be what it is without you. Thank you.
Can't say for the other guy but I ordered mine on the 18th of jan and It barely shipped awhile ago, its been in shipping for 14 days and might get here around the 16th-26th if that helps at all@@Thrillpills77
First handheld RP4P here. Omg, this vid and the webpage guide are INFINITELY helpful. In fact, so helpful that it helped me to know that it would work out for me even before I got the device. The robotic voice absolutely put it over the top for me. :D PS - I'm sure you don't need my paltry sub, but you got it anyway.
Thank you so much Russ for all the hard work you put into these guides, both in the videos and in writing on your website. You've legitimately helped so many people who would've struggled otherwise to find all this information on their own.
Best in-depth content out there. You always provide the quality stuff. One mention though: if you disable the screen lock, make sure that your google account is set to require authentication for each purchase. As anyone with access to your device (if it gets lost or stolen) has potential free reign in the google store if you have a payment method set up.
Long-time listener, first-time caller. Just wanted to say, I really appreciate your helpful and detailed videos about such a niche, but crowded market/hobby. They've helped cut through the fog of overinformation available and focuses on the relevant, but profuse details. Glad for your passion, your insight, and your editing.
Racing home from work to open my box my wife picked up from the post office! Fast shipping , 10 days including a Sunday. Impressed thanks for the video
Just got my retroid pocket 4 yesterday and followed everything, with a few hiccups because it's my first time using android, all in all everything working fine, thank you so much!
@@awesome7135 If you follow this video exactly, you just drag new games into their folder on the device and sync the games again. It will detect any new ones and download the box art etc.
I’m glad your channel is around, I originally got a Rg35xx and it was ass didn’t work and wouldn’t load, now ordering this guy the pro 4 and I’m excited!! Can’t wait for Friday!!!!
I want to give to so many thanks for the video. I recently bought myself a RP2s because I wanted something I could bring with me comfortably and could played my favorite games and i’m very happy with my purchase. Your video was great. Well explained and ended feeling accomplished. Keep doing a awesome job!
I had my Retroid 4 Pro for two weeks, and had it setup the the best way I could using my Retroid 3+ as a guide. However, this guide taught me way more than I thought possible. The issue I had was there are some features in the Retroid 3+ that didn't make it into the Retroid 4 Pro, but this guide helped lead me to fill in those gaps. Now I'm super happy to have my new Retroid 4 Pro look and feel like an upgraded version of my Retroid 3+. The missing ability to only need to hit the Home button once and adjusting the saturation was honestly killing me.
Over an hour!? WOW! GREAT! I really wish we had Odin tools for the Odin 1 and RP3, those performance profiles is something I wanted since I got my first Odin in 2022.
This video came at the perfect time when my RP4P arrived today. Been digesting your video for hours taking detailed notes. It is a lot to setup but your guide is clearly laid out, and thank you so much for all this effort!
I've had this video on a particular window in my laptop for over a week now, got my RP4P and been configurating it as you've recommended and MY GOD!!! I LOVE IT!!! Best idea in a while getting myself one. It's only my second specific console for retrogaming (first one was a Miyoo Mini +) and you can teel the difference between them both. Just wanted to thank you Russ for this amazing channel, is unbelievable the job you do and how useful it is. Sometimes I just put a video on cause even from those about console I don't have I learn something. Thank you again and keep on with this amazing channel
Those wondering about *Shipping time.* I *ordered* my RP4Pro 8 hours into Pre-Orders on *release day* December 21. The timing couldn’t have been better! Thank you for all of your hard work on making this possible for us that are trying to get into emulation ❤. Love from California.
Can’t thank you enough for this. I got an Anbernic RG 353V and the SD cards died. I only had it 2 weeks before that happened. After realizing I wanted to load my own games and etc. I found this video, and now can’t wait for my pocket 4 pro!
My pro just showed up like a day or two after this video, and your guide made this all super seamless and easy. Everything is working well for me so far, even on emulating outside of this guide (I added the Pokémon mini because I somehow grew up with that thing and is fun to play for a few minutes). Thank you so much Russ. I hope everyone else will feel the way I do or similar with mine. Super happy with it, and this is coming from a 3+ owner. Much better improvement to me and worth it for those who wanna play GameCube. I can finally, actually play Kirby Air Ride again! lol

I used your old android setup guide on my Samsung galaxy tab 7 plus and it is now a stupidly great emulation device. Gamecube and ps2 no issues, upscales to 1080p. It might be fun visiting old tablets as a video idea for people on a budget because a 13 inch 16:10 screen and an 8bitdo controller is a pretty awesome experience, especially for two player. In addition to the tablet functions, it's now my wife and i's most important travel electronic, with a couple 8bitdo sn30 pro's, we have a solid multi-player setup. And a dongle lets it do hdmi video out too
