@@itsTouEasy that's a general disclaimer because it checks to see if it's an odin 2. It's still safe as of now, maybe future versions will be incompatible
@JoeysRetroHandhelds. I purchased the yuzu early access from the app store. My understanding is that early access gets the updates first. Would obtainium be the better option through GitHub? Also keep up the great work love the videos!
Such a great device. AYN making everyone step up their game. Bought one for me, then bought another one for family and friends just to support a company backing gamers and listening.
Maaaaan I need Obtainium in my life!! I'm tired of uninstalling Yuzu for the latest build and then constantly loading the firmware, drivers, keys, and games directory, it's annoying to say the least. Thanks Joey you're the real MVP.
I was oringally going to hold out for the Pocket S, but I finally decided to go with the Rainbow Pro and I am super excited and will be using these apps, thank you!
@@xtheslumpnot yet 🥲but it sounds like people who bought theirs the first week of Feb. are now just shipping from what I can see in AYNs discord cause of CNY so hopefully mine ships soon 🤞🏾

Mega jelly about the colour lol But I do love my black max. I am thinking of swapping out the buttons for the ones in the video though. I didn't know that about Odin tools, thank you for the video
@@JoeysRetroHandheldsI'll have to check that out. I saw someone else mention Syncthing first on Reddit and thought is a good concept, but I am not 100% committed to the app.
Thanks. This software could be what tips me to the Odin 2 vs. a snapdragon tablet with telescopic controller. Even though, I'm guessing both would work on any Android -- Obtainium at least.
Great video btw very helpful for when I get my own a couple of weeks. But one question that people don’t ask is that how is the shipping process does it take a 1month to arrive or a week to ship? Thank you
That Yuzu link is now a 404 page. I did download it from github, but how do I ensure that the release will stay updated? Which link should I use now? Thank you.
@JoeysRetroHandhelds Rumble doesn't work on my Odin 2 when playing Android games. It does work in other apps such as Yuzu/NetherSX2. Any ideas on what I could check? Thanks
Hey does the clear ones shell feel any different than the solid ones? I was gonna get the blue but ultimately went w/ the 16bit one with the skittles buttons mainly bc I didn't like the way the LED's showed thru on the clear ones making that cross shape around the sticks. But now that I have it idk if I care for the way it feels.. don't get me wrong it def feels super premium and not cheap at all- that's not what I'm saying, its just like VERY smooth and has almost like a switch joycon soft touch feel to it but not quite. And I'm just wondering bc I know sometimes the clear variants on other handhelds use a different plastic that IMO usually feels better than the solid versions, take for example the RP3 & 4 and I believe I've heard that about some Anbernics as well. And coming from a clear red RP4 pro, I love how that thing feels and I find myself wishing the Odin2 was more like it. It's pretty smooth but also has like a grippy textured matte finish to it that's great when it comes to finger prints and also just feels more secure in your hand, like it cant slip or nuthin. So being you have both kinds was hoping you (or somebody) could shed some like on this for me bc I could still technically exchange mine if I rly wanted to being I just got it.
Joey, Is there a comprehensive video o of xbox game pass ultimate gameplay or guide on the odin 2? If not can you make one? (I want to know how well it's suited for it)
My Odin is on the way also with 4px (in Portugal we pay like 40% tax which is ridiculous. I hope it bypasses the customs). Very nice video. Will use this for sure. Legit q tho. Why 3 odins and all pros? 😁

How can you use Dolphin update on obtainiun? I cant get it and its update everyday
Did the controller style and L2/R2 mode switches get added into the newest OTA? I downloaded Odin Tools and now I have 2 of each toggles.

Has anyone compiled a list of links to copy and paste into obtanium to make it a bit quicker to setup the emulators into the app?

Will I lose the texture packs I sideloaded in the emulator directories (i.e. NetherSX2, Dolphin) when I update?
I haven't seen any data loss, everything has stayed.
how do you use mouse in your odin?

Only Odin 2.
