We did the route in September on big bikes. Skipped all the hard sections. But I’m hoping to do it again summer 25 on my 690. I’ll admit the climb to Sierra Buttes looks pretty hairy and going down looks even gnarlier lol.
I used to ride my KTM 950 a lot - and I wouldn't have hesitated to ride a big bike on Sierra Buttes or Verdi Peak - it's just picking your line, keeping your balance to avoid pinch flats. Climbing Mt. Patterson (th-cam.com/video/A5q38UetMNU/w-d-xo.html) would have been fantastic on a big bike with all the horsepower!
@@cmoreoverland6739 saw a few as we were going up, so yeah. Brush really gets closed in tight in a few places, but scratches are just signs of a good time, right?
@mattguzzim1744 Yes it was! I had it on a solid chin mount on the helmet but the GoPro attachment kept coming slightly loose and letting the camera angle downwards a bit. Finally fixed it for the third installment th-cam.com/video/c2TPrjIiAdE/w-d-xo.html
Nice ride !
@@yowser8780 Thanks! It was truly epic!

Nice dinner. 👍
I actually felt weird / bad that it was sooo nice and we were sooo filthy. :)
Looks doable in a 4Runner...Agreed?

great vid... what tires were you running?
@@Seabrightphoto Running just the cheapest ones I could find. Tusk Dsports and 4mm tubes, running at “Jimmy Lewis” pressure front and rear (28 psi)
@ they seem to get the job done nicely
Good, but your camera is focused too low.

Work on that camera angle please. My neck is killing me.
The coming LAB2V videos will be much better - I promise! LOL!
