Here's some handful of Arcade Archites games on switch that I liked so far. Cybattler, Rygar, Kangaroo, SunsetRiders, Double Dragon, Punch-Out!!, Super Punch-Out!!, In The Hunt, Saboten Bombers, 64th. Street and finally Zero Team.
Raiden IV is coming later this month. Dariusburst. G Darius. I see you already have Strikers 1945, Strikers 1945 II, Strikers 1945 III, Sol Divide, Dragon Blaze, Zero Gunner 2. ...are all bundled in the Psikyo Shooting Stars Alpha. Great value there. You have a great selection there in your Switch library. It's a pretty decent console for old arcade and console ports, consider all those and the likes of Megadrive collection, SNK etc.
The Pac-Man thing is...complicated. See, Ms. Pac-Man and Jr. Pac-Man were not made by Namco. They were made by GCC, a team of college hackers. They came up with "Crazy Otto" which would become Ms. Pac, at Bally-Midway's insistence. Did the same deal with Junior. Namco had no input in either. This is why it took awhile for Namco to actually acknowledge Ms. Pac, and she did make it to some of the Namco Museums and more. But in a lot of Pac compilations they'll usually hang onto the original. Which is weird when you consider that once Ms. took hold, you saw her more often than you saw original Pac cabinets. Junior seems to have been lost forever to time because of this deal, as Namco is in no rush to port him/gain the rights to him. Super Pac, Pac and Pal, and Pac-Mania were Namco creations licensed out to American companies, on the other hand. Maybe Pac-Man Plus too.

There was another picture that became a meme with me from a few years ago standing in front of the house from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. it became a meme because it was dark outside so I look like a creep staking someones house haha. But last week, on vacation to California, I finally got a nice day time photo at the location from the movie. So I'm satisfied now. It's a pretty cool spot too because it still look mostly like it did back in 1985
Arcade Double Dragon (1) is just like that, there's nothing wrong with their emulation. In MAME you can overclock the system or run alternate bootleg sets that ran on different (faster) hardware; but that's not really accurate to playing the original machine. Also I think the SNES collection on Switch is quite good for having a decent amount of hidden gems along with the big marquee stuff. Never thought I'd see Claymates or Valis 4 come back in in any form; but there they are.
@@mikematei It's used for RGB. But I don't have the luxury of getting things modded such as the Atari. It's simple enough for devices that use composite on it but just curious if you can get an RF to work on a PVM? Basically the RF cable that looks similar to a composite. Question is open to anyone in the chat.

This is probably too late and you probably won't care by now, but Resident Evil 4 is pretty universally loved and I think the *hate* people are giving RE 4 are the fans obsessed with the original 3 on the Playstation (and code veronica on the Dreamcast) where the games take themselves more seriously in tone and have the tank controls. RE4 is where the series starts to become more action oriented and has a more tongue-in-cheek tone with a self-realization of how ridiculous the story had gotten. I would even say RE2 started to become pretty action heavy even with tank controls and tone, though. The RE1 remake for the Gamecube, while having tank controls, is amazing for its atmosphere and a real survival horror feel. You may actually like RE7 a lot since it is first person and definitely carries a horror theme to it... like RE mixed with Texas Chainsaw. I, personally, find enjoyment with all of them although RE6 is probably the worst one.
If you like Vandyke you might like Extermination by Taito, it's hard as F...K! But once you figure it out, there is nothing more satisfying than travelling through that futuristic alien world.
Yes, with zero sarcasm, I love Burgertime and so does many of my older relatives. I got my 60-ish year old uncle playing it again a few years ago. The Intellivision version is by far the best of the 3 main ports. Coleco looked ok. NES was total garbage. That's probably why people hate it, they don't know the other 2 and just NES. This is my first time seeing the original arcade version. Still hoping to see some good Intellivision streams from you and Erin someday. Especially since you can appreciate the games that had no end, just a high score that kept going, much like most Atari games. In that sense, Lock n Chase, Night Stalker, Thunder Castle, Burgertime... and the tired excuse of the controllers being bad, luckily none of these required the keypad, just disc and side buttons. If you ever find someone making upgraded, better controllers that are compatible with original hardware, even SNES/Genesis style with an adapter, that would finally be what is needed to make these even more playable.
And after unpausing... this isn't what you do in Burgertime. Yes, you build the burgers, but the point is high score, and you get a multiplier for trapping enemies on an edge of a bun, patty, lettuce etc when you run off the other side, "dropping" them down a few rows.
@@mikematei You mentioned paddle controls on a podcast. The classic joystick for the VCS has paddle control built in. This opens the door to play some paddle control games in the future, plus play retro games with paddle controls the way they are meant to be played. You can't really get that experience with analoge or d-pad controls on another system. So there's that...
Mike is a video game God. Just got my oled switch. Worth every penny Zelda is absolutely astounding on the new screen. It also runs better very little frame drop rates. Oh and yes, Metroid Dread is a triple drip cream dream on wax.

"Donkey Kong 3" is a really fun game.
There is something about fast-paced shooter games that feels like the purest form of gaming.

Vandyke was made by UPL.. they made lots of great arcade games. Ninja Kid 2 (Rad Action), Mutant Night, Atomic Robo Kid, to name a few :)
