"growing off the sidewalk".... 😂😂.. Now that's good. I tend to save them when I can but yes super heavy. They are becoming harder to find now. Like 2013-16 I saw them everywhere. Ironically for something people throw out, they sell for $$ on CL etc.
To progress in Beetlejuice, you just simply hop on the cloud after zapping the bee hive. Also the only difference between any of the scares is the amount of ammo they have. The more expensive they are, the more shots you get with them (the Skeleton has three shots for example). And to escape those pits, you have to kill the ghosts by jumping on them. They're the only enemies in the game that wont damage you if you jump on them, and you get good money from them as well. The game's bosses are simple to beat, but extremely cryptic if you don't know what to do. You have to use your scares to knock them back into the wall. Run out of scare ammo though and you're fucked, so be sure you're stocked up.
Mike, not one entertainer has gotten better over the last 10 years but you. Everyone else washes out and you become THE entertainer of the not easily entertained. I mean there's no pretentious instrumentals, craft beer, or stoner humor. Just an anti-everything disposition.
I have a nice rca 36 inch. Super heavy needed too people to move it. I got it free from a place I was volunteering at and someone dropped it off and the place didn't want it. Everything retro looks amazing on it, mostly only tried ps1 and a small amount of genisis. But I'm looking forward to trying GameCube, my saturn dreamcast xbox etc. But I also have a nice 24 or 2y 27 inch and everything looks great on it too. The small one hides imperfections in games that have them, but the large one honestly shows off the graphics and color is great, the graffiti pops and looks almost real in resident evil 2, and resident evil 3 looks Bestival too. Can't wait to try more on it.
Seven hours is remarkably common for a full time streamer. I'm part time, and routinely do eight hour streams. Only people who are only in it for the money ever run short one hour streams, or very part time streamers. 12+ is impressive, seven hours is pretty standard.
Is a tube television really a hot commodity these days? I've had the same one since I was 16. Got it in 1997, and never think anything of it. Still have my NES, SNES, and Genesis hooked to it.
Too bulky and inconvenient, probably not going to shoot up in value, if if were not for the resurgence in popularity of retro video games, nobody would even want them.
Hey Mike! Just checking in to say I've been way too busy to watch anything but on the plus side you give more content than anyone I know. Thanks a ton brother keep on keeping on.
On roller games stay at the bottom of left corner and only jump the bombs that come down in your lane. After a few jumps the level is over! The chopper justs flies off. And onto the next level. The game is awesome but really challenging, and yes it gets rougher than this.
You know whats funny, I just talked to him about that TV a few days ago. I wanted to know if it has component on it. (it doesn't) Anyway he has that TV still. I've tried many times to get him to sort of upgrade the Nerd room. Right now it has a flat screen on the wall and I dont really think that fits the theme at all. But there's really not enough space in the room for a huge CRT the way it is now. So it is what it is. Ideally I'd probably get him a Trinitron to put in there but I dont think it's possible.
Darn i was hoping i could play Crisis Force on my NES flash cart. There is nothing like playing NES on a CRT-TV just something special and magical about it.
So many nostalgic sounds and those grainy 90s old school tube TVs.... bruv, you.re hitting me in my soul. Thank you Mike Matai. Live. Love. Be. Believe.
This might be a question that takes a few minutes to answer but I'd love to know everything about this stream setup with the tv. I'm getting ready to hop into streaming retro games for myself and any helpful replies will be invaluable.
I have multiple monitors that I use. A few BVMs, a PVM and several standard crts. For those, a Toshiba, Trinitron and others. I use a combination of RGB scart or Component depending on what I'm doing. For this particular stream I decided to film my actual screen, which most people dont do. But once in a while I do that to mix things up.
That first game reminds me of dragon spirit for nes. That is such an awesome game. I've beaten it on both the gold dragon and blue dragon, the blue dragon goes through every stage and only gives you 3 hits. Gold dragon skips stages and you get 6 hits.
Hey, Mike, have you played the Mission: Impossible game from Ultra Games for the NES platform? You should give it a try, friend. By the way, greetings from Romania.
As you’ve gotten older you have become even more entertaining. You know when to be a royal(hilarious) ass, and when to dial it down and that’s why your presence is growing. You’re a Badass.

@@mikematei Actually believe it or not, ringing noise from CRTs was something myself and others of my generation definitely noticed throughout the 90s, even though our parents seemed not to. Who even knows what determined that.
@@mikematei All CRTs emit a high pitched noise, so high pitched that it is outside the hearing range for a lot of people, and it is more or less noticeable depending upon the model and condition of the TV. The tube television I use has a faint very high-pitched tone that I usually only notice when I first turn it on.
@@cbarger2327 I could hear it (but not my friends) and also how the pitch changed if the screen had bright colors. Sometimes it would even harmonize with my tinnitus
What brand is that CRT? We had a Goldstar when I was a kid. When I got older I had a Panasonic in my room. I thought it was the coolest thing ever to have my own tv in my room!! I remember staying up late, watching cable and playing video games. I hated when my mom would bust me late at night 😂 Sometimes I'd hear her in the hall. I'd have the volume up to 1 just to hear that sweet 8-bit music. I'd turn everything off and pretend I was asleep but sometimes she'd catch the faint glow of the tv tube right after you turn it off. they're roller skates though, not rollerblades.... Also I remember the TV show... they used to say "and remember, WAR is a 3 letter word" that was so randomly stupid, HAH
Unless I'm playing my hotrodded Wii, I only use the front loader that my parents bought me back in 87. I had a awesome 36" crt that I exclusively play my nes on but my wife dropped it trying to move it. Wah wah.
I actually use my modded Wii on a CRT, since most all of the emulators I use on it support true double-strike “240p” output like the original consoles - they look perfect, no scaling artifacts. I’m using a late model Sanyo tube and I have the Wii hooked up with component cables, and the picture quality is comparable to RGB SCART.

The _T_ in CRT is the _Tube_ in TH-cam. The correct way to watch TH-cam is on a tube.
The logo is still the shape of the front of a TV.
Love this, tv looks great, interesting games and fun conversation. Couldn't ask for more
Mike on a CRT is like watching a BETA on a VHS with CASSETE quality SFX, what an analogue experience.
"Mike on CRT" should be a video series
It’s the _tube_ in _TH-cam._

Man how the hell do you have the energy to stream so long. Gotta give you kudos to that alone. That's real dedication
It’s his job, that’s what he does for a living. Better to play video games for 8 hours than sit in a cubicle and stare at a spreadsheet for 8 hours.
