Replace the mon calamari arc with the ryloth arc. I just rewatched the clone wars and I couldn't get through the mon calamari arc but the rewatch reminded me of how beautiful that ryloth episode when the clones find that kid is. Such good character building for the clones.

Great guide, I personally would’ve added the Ryloth arc and the Malevolence arcs from season 1, Bounty Hunters from season 2, and the Clovis arc from season 6
I’m in a pickle where I know how essential a lot of these episodes are to fully understand everything, but I also don’t want my mom to see that 30hr or even 12hr run time and say “nevermind” and not go through with it. I believe there’s only one 2 archs that are truly necessary to understanding the most of the important plot points in the movies. The conspiracy arch, and the mandalore arch. These will include Maul as well because he’s kinda important, and Mauls death will do nicely as a little snack in between Rogue One and A New Hope. (Not The canonical placement but if you don’t care it’s a nice reminder that Obi-wan is still out there and it concludes an arch right before starting the last one, the original series.)
This is an interesting list, but the question is, 4 years later how would you do it now? How much of season 7 (and maybe bad batch too) goes into the essentials vs skeleton plan? And that brings me to my next question, if you were to do this again but specifically as a bridge between attack of the clones and revenge of the sith (trying to keep it reasonable so you don’t spend a week between movies) what would you include? Essentially this is recreating the 2003 micro series but with 2008, so which arcs get the ax and which ones bridge the gap? It wouldn’t be good for say, bad batch or rebels (just watch the whole thing) but showing the prequels for the fist time which ones add to the trilogy? For my money I’d use the [movie and the] malevolence arc, grievous’s lair, some stuff with Asoka Anakin and obi wan (the box, 2nd battle of geanosis, mortis, citadel, maybe salavery maybe ondearon rebellion etc), the Asoka betrayal arc, maybe order 66 arc (it’s hard to include it without all of the clone stuff but it works I guess) and the sifo dius hunt, Asoka +mandalore season 7. I want to add the mandalorian stuff and maul stuff too but now it’s starting to get a bit bloated, conversely maul is a huge part of the finale so he should go in, and the mandalorian stuff has some nice “it’s like poetry, they rhyme” moments. I’d also want to add the Yoda alone episode and the Padmé piece episodes but if harsh cuts are needed… Anyway that’s off the top of my head (I’d make a more comprehensive list given time) but as a bridge between movies I think grievous should have his dues as a villain (and duku as well I just couldn’t think of any besides the box) and the order 66 plot adds to the tragedy of revenge of the sith. Unfortunately with season 7 happening concurrently with rots this approach starts fraying by the end.
Thanks for making this video, the clone wars was a big part of my childhood and i only finished the last season today. Can’t lie, made feel like a chapter had closed in my life. Still a massive fan and i feel good knowing there is a community of like minded people. Keep making videos man!

this has helped a lot thanks, personally ive seen the seasons but im introducing it to someone who doesnt exactly have a tolerance to watch all the episodes (and especially with season 7 its been difficult to narrow down the episodes which are needed)
Been getting my gf into Star Wars and this show is what made me love the prequels more so I was looking for something to get just enough of what I like without having her lose interest
Thanke you! I sendt my sister this video and she finally watched clone wars! This is so far the best episode guide I have sien for the seres, how dose it only have 300 views!?
I add Cat and Mouse and Hidden enemy as a baseline. They're fun episodes to get started on the right foot as well as meeting Rex and Cody and seeing the nuance of the clone troopers early. I cut out the Corsicana Godzilla arc,
This is a fantastic guide that really helped me watched the clone wars. Amazing content. I do think you should have included the Ziro Arc (which is Season 3 episode 7,8 and 9) in the essentials because that Arc ties into the previous Boba arc and includes many assassins from previous episodes. Anyway that’s just a personal preference and keep making good content. You’ve officially earned a new sub. 😃
What! You forgot to add the clovis arc (Episodes: 204,605-607)! it is essential for showing Anakins relation with padme and his darkside. Also it was one of the best arcs in my opinion. Also i would add Son of Dathomir audio comic and Crystal crisis. Although not (finished) episodes people will enjoy them after having seen this much.
It's funny that you say that actually, my next video is going to talk about those Clovis episodes. Though they are important for Anakin's turn, and are just great episodes on their own, I still don't think they are all that essential when looking at the 4 main stories of the Clone Wars. (Ahsoka, the Clones, Maul and Mandalore) Though it doesn't hurt to throw in more episodes along the way! 😁
Pretty great list, but I'd personally wanna take a few eps and arcs out Zillo Beast Arc: I somewhat liked it, but it ends on a cliffhanger, and unfortunately won't be resolved anytime soon Lightsaber Lost: While a harmless enough episode, it's pretty unimportant in the grand scheme of things. Water War Arc: Despite featuring Admiral Ackbar, this arc could be a real drag at times. Corruption and The Academy: Not much to say about them, they are kinda boring Pursuit of Peace: I've got mixed feelings about this one, but I don't think it's half as good as heroes on both sides, it does try to explore some rather heavy themes and raise some interesting questions, but if you skip it you won't be missing much. Dishonorable mention: Dooku captured and the Gungan General: This arc is somewhat important for introducing fan-favorrite Hondo, showing us what the pirate's principles are, which are pretty flexible as far as things are concerned and basically non-existant at times, as well the creation of enmity between him, the jedi, and especially Count Dooku, which does play an important part later on in the series. My problem however, is that the arc isn't fun, the guys get captured, escape, captured, and then escape, only to be captured one more time. There's also this whole subplot about how some of Hondo's men plan to betray him, which somehow ropes everyone's favorite Jar Jar binks into the thick of things as well. It's a mess of an arc, and in my personal opinion you're better off reading about it. Aside from that, one of the greatest animated TV series I've ever watched, and if you've been interested in star wars due to the mandalorian or the fallen order game, you should totally check it out
I think you should add the malevolence ark, the blue shadow virus ark, and the battle of ryloth.also you should add the season 7 episodes. But great video I always wanted to wach clone wars but I feel like I would have to dedicate the next year waching all the episodes, but this helped me out a lot. Thanks
Hi friend. Could you please tell me what are the essential chapters of the seventh season? I've heard that it has several fillers, but I don't know which ones I should see before moving on to Rebels. Thanks in advance.
Personally I think you should just watch the full season. But if all you are worrying about is Rebels, then you could just watch the last four. But the rest of the season has a lot of great character stuff for Ahsoka and Rex respectively. So basically, I would say the last four episodes fit into the Skeleton Plan. But the Essentials Guide would want you to watch the full season. Hope that helps!
One of the best lists i have watched! Great job man. I hope you will rise in fame if you continue making vids like this! its loud and clear:) thanks for this! May The Force be with you.
On my 5th time watching the series, I realized that some episodes although later in the series come before stories that have already been told. Like the episode with the traitor on Christophisis occurred right before the Clone Wars movie happened.
Yeah the chronological order is really whack, but super cool! I have yet to watch the whole series in that order, I tend to just let it auto-play in episodic order. But whoever at Disney put in the work to make the chronological list, good on ya!
Great picks and awesome video/video idea. You put really a lot of effort into making this video, looking forward to what as ou are doing next. (sorry for grammatical mistakes and stuff I don't speak English too well)
Just finished binging 7 seasons. Loved it but there were definitely a few arcs that bored me and made it hard to watch. The Essentials playlist looks perfect for a rewatch one day
Brother this seems legit do You have a full spread to not coming back after each episode? Appriciated your work! I'll start with the movie as You suggested
Hey thanks for the list but i am totally new to star wars and never really saw the movies so i started watching in from chronological order and now i am on clone wars so i will watch it but i saw that there is a seasson 7 and what is the difference between seasson 6 and 7 you said that seasson 6 is the original ending so when should i watch seasson seven and should i watch the whole seasson or is there essenstiol to ?
I was about to jump into S7, but I had this unease feeling about being away from the series for too long and then jumping back in cold feet. This is exactly what I needed brother. I am sure there is a guide floating around on the internet that I've used before (when S6 dropped), but either way I'm glad I didn't have to go and do it myself since I couldn't find any guides like you mentioned. Thanks for your work and time, and for caring enough about the re-uploading . May the force be with you!
Ooooor I’ve seen everything and just want to watch Clone Wars again but too lazy to go through all the episodes and filler episodes. I just want the essentials
Great video, these are my probably my personal favorite arcs in the show with some honorable mentions being the nightsistes, citadel, and domino squad arcs:
1.The Siege of Mandalore 2.Ahsoka on the Run 3.Maul on Mandalore 4.The Battle of Umbara 5.Mortis 6.Fives on the Run 7.Yoda’s Journey 8.Maul’s Return 9.Undercover Obi-Wan 10.The Second Battle of Geonosis
The skeleton list seems better for me so far. I just can't enjoy this series; it is so unimaginative and lacking in originality. Every story is something we've all seen at least ten times in other shows, except done better.
This video came up in my recommended and let me just say, I love all your comments on all of these arcs. Definitely watch The Essentials plan, not the skeleton plan. Though I have a few personal favorite episodes outside of that plan that I would recommend: Dooku Captured & The Gungan General (introduction to Hondo) Jedi Crash, Innocents of Ryloth, Trespass & Sphere of Influence (cause I love Senator Chuchi) and Ambush & Hidden Enemy are also great episodes. I think the Zillow Beast, Battle of Mon Calla, and Onderon arcs can be skipped, but like you said JUST WATCH THE WHOLE SHOW

So basically, I would say the last four episodes fit into the Skeleton Plan. But the Essentials Guide would want you to watch the full season. Hope that helps!
@@CueninsCove I really appreciate the answer. It is very useful to me.
I think I will watch the whole season. Thank you!!
I just watched the last 4 episodes of season 7 I’ll catch up in a lil
One of the best lists i have watched! Great job man. I hope you will rise in fame if you continue making vids like this! its loud and clear:) thanks for this!
May The Force be with you.
And may the force be with you, Sheev!
I would argue season 2 episode 9 should be included as it is part of the deserter ark
The Essentials playlist looks perfect for a rewatch one day
Thank you, this is just what I wanted to see!
Is the essentials guide enough for watching The book of Boba and Mando?
Why am I the only one that things clone wars isn’t all too desirable but I enjoy all the movies
not just you. ive tried 3 times which is why i came to this video. but i really want to give it a chance T_T
Wow bro your awesome thank you 🙏 I loved the wink 😉 lol that’s y I’m here
Well then here's a little somethin' for ya
😉😉😉😉😉
thank you for the spreadsheet
I am option 3 a friend is watching it and i want them to experience the best they can
You need more recognition bro I'm a 90s vet on star warz
Brother this seems legit do You have a full spread to not coming back after each episode? Appriciated your work! I'll start with the movie as You suggested
Me who owns szn 1-6 and disc realizing I have to actually get up after every episode😭
Thank you! I’m trying to get my wife to watch It.
Umbara is like, the best episodes, full stop.
I'm glad you found it useful and thanks for letting me know! And let me know what you think of season 7 so far!
Awesome thank you
Just watching the clone wars and cuz of you this shit is amazing to view
Just watched rookies before posting this
This was very helpful, thank you!
Great job on this video! I’m a little late but it’s helping me understanding how to watch the series!
Thank you so much for this guide!!!!
The Umbara arc is my favourite
Can someone explain to my why the Zillio beat arc is necessary? am i forgetting something important here?
Its just cool
they probably used his clone for creating stormtrooper’s armor
I’m have a question. Why include the Zillow beast arc? It got left on a cliffhanger and idk if it’s that good or anything
Ooooor I’ve seen everything and just want to watch Clone Wars again but too lazy to go through all the episodes and filler episodes. I just want the essentials
Great vids ! Helps me a lot, thanks.
Great video, these are my probably my personal favorite arcs in the show with some honorable mentions being the nightsistes, citadel, and domino squad arcs:
1.The Siege of Mandalore
2.Ahsoka on the Run
3.Maul on Mandalore
4.The Battle of Umbara
5.Mortis
6.Fives on the Run
7.Yoda’s Journey
8.Maul’s Return
9.Undercover Obi-Wan
10.The Second Battle of Geonosis
I am deeply offended by the skeleton list. If I am to introduce someone to the clone wars, the essentials is what I will show them.
That's the way to do it!
The skeleton list seems better for me so far. I just can't enjoy this series; it is so unimaginative and lacking in originality. Every story is something we've all seen at least ten times in other shows, except done better.
No Obi Wan in disguise arc? Forget this plan
its in the essentials plan but not the otter one bc like it r not that arc is filler
Greetings from Germany Bro. You saved me!!!
Hey, do you have a list for Rebels?
Never mind I found it! It's at the end of the video!
id add the ryloth arc and the clovis arc from season 6
Great video thanks you deserve more subs honestly 👊
Thanks!
Your welcome and thank you for this guide I subbed btw😀
Ahhhhh bro i wanna watch the entire clone wars but i am so dumb and i dont get tcw but i do understand the prequels.
I've tried so hard to watch clone wars but just get bored every time, and im a huge star wars fan!
find the arcs you enjoy and stick them through, if u ride out the arcs u like in each season the end is definitely worth your time :) hope u enjoy
10:22 just leaving where i left off :)
Thanks lol I already watched the whole thing but its so good and I want to see it again but its so long 😂😂
Please update again to include season 7 so people don't have to suffer through that horrible sisters arc.
Where would the death watch arc that introduced Bo katan fit in this order?
Wtf do I do if I already started it with the order it was released
Man, you saved my Life
I{m bookmarking this clip for reference, thanks for the good work
This video came up in my recommended and let me just say, I love all your comments on all of these arcs. I think the Zillow Beast, Battle of Mon Calla, and Onderon arcs can be skipped, but like you said JUST WATCH THE WHOLE SHOW
I need help in slovakia diney plus isnt avaleble and there is no clone wars in any other streaming platform
Great ! That's what I needed.
If I may, you might want to place your camera a little bit further, or change the focal
Cheers !
Thanks for the feedback!
