The Clone Wars TV show really fleshed out the clones, giving them each their unique personality. The show was probably one of the most important additions to the Star Wars universe, imo. Thank you once more HFP for another amazing video!
Some say the old 2003 Clone Wars is better, and while I'll admit it does some things better (For example, Grievous is a ruthless badass who killed 6 Jedi in 2 appearances, as opposed to being a punching bag for the Gungans), I still have to give TCW the edge, because it made one of the best creative decisions in Star Wars history, and gave the Clones personalities, as opposed to most other SW media at the time that just had them as mindless drones.
@@CABRALFAN27 Its truly amazing what they achived with TCW while seeing how they failed with TFA and TLJ. With TCW they were pretty restricted and had to write Storys between episode 2 and 3 while they could do anything with episode 7 and went with a bad rip off.

I've seen people complain about the inhibitor chips and how it takes away the fact that the clones knew all along what they were made for, but in the clone wars and here it's highlighted that they all knew subconsciously in their dreams about their TRUE mission and I love the mix.
In the Legends lore(and possibly current cannon, I’m not sure), order 66 was one of 150 contingency orders that the clones had memorized. So the entire army knew that they might one day have to kill their Jedi generals, but weren’t controlled by the inhibitor chip. They had been indoctrinated since creation to serve the *republic* first and foremost. Jango made sure to give multiple speeches and lessons to his personal Alpha Arc batch that the republic was the best chance for the galaxy, and that it at all costs must be upheld. Another contingency allowed the replacement or even termination of the chancellor, should he step beyond his bounds.
@@chriscolumbia9834 The chips still make sense when you think about it, even if the Clones were already briefed about order 66 and most would adhere to it anyway, why would Sidious risk leaving it to chance that the majority Clones wouldn't somehow disobey and question the logic of their orders ?
@@callumwebb4927 alot of the clones saw the Jedi are their brothers they were as much their brothers as the clones beside them. if they didn't introduce the inhibitor chips then it would have lead to not only a civil war among the clones but the entire republic would descend into civil war and Sidous plan would have fallen flat on it's face.
Pretty much, leaving something to chance is not something Sidious would do. Not in the case of an entire Clone army. Still killing your Jedi General friend almost instinctively and later realizing what you did....crazy PTSD.
This hurts even more so after watching the Last Clone Wars EP ;-; "You're a good solider, Rex. So is every one of those men down there." RIP Clone Wars you were my greatest friend you will live forever in my heart.
what i honestly love about this is, is that it shows the aftermath of the clone wars, it also greatly humanises the clones, they suffered greatly, they may have been genetically created but they were still human, this is by far the best video I have saw on Star Wars, it blended so well and truly brought a sci-fi fiction legacy closer to reality, this is better than Hollywood, this is what you should pay your money for.
Humanized?....they are human beings even clones have souls...this video honestly reminds me of what it was like being in the Marine Corps Infantry.....Reks was right though...."deep down we all had a choice!"
You really ought to read the Republic/Imperial commando books by Karen Traviss. They show a great in-depth look into clones minds, and even gives a compelling story about those clones and the people who would save them
14:26 That scene of the death star and then the Helmets just had me bawling my eyes out. I miss the republic so much..Just goes to show the betrayal the clones had faced, But couldn’t do anything about it, after all. Clones follow all orders..That’s what’s heartbreaking.
The best part about that is that while the inhibitor chips preserved the carefully and masterfully created humanity displayed in the animated series, the original brainwashed indoctrinated troopers are the most realistic. That being said it could still have worked equally well if this was true as (like Mason in black ops) the most humanised troopers with the strongest bonds would have had to fight the ‘activation code’ order 66. They would still have had to fight themselves but it would have been more of a choice built through experience, like I said both work but this seems to be the more realistic and could have carried a greater message. But that’s just my opinion

The thing that simply makes me very sad is that the clones fought for what they were meant to do. In their short but action packed lives they developed critical thinking and despite the Sith’s plans, they did everything they could to stop them. Hail the 501st! The best of the best! Simply, amazing.
At first, I was going to expect an underwhelming typical poorly fan-made video. But watching this throughout, I had never once had shed a tear over this kind of amazing put-up videos. You sir, deserve a like & sub!
The video is phenomenal, exceeding expectations. Showing the clones growing from young guys getting ready for a war, to fighting, and then order 66. The complete breakdown of the family, with the death of thorn, echo (he’s alive but yea), Gregor, and the collapse of the army. The crying breath of fives as the empire solidifies its reign of tyranny is heartbreaking. You have an amazing talent and thank you for making an amazing video
You will need to recut this after the battle of mandalore. I suspect the scene where Rex decides to save ahsoka rather than participate in order 66 is going to be jaw dropping.
@@MarkyMark1221 I believe they definitely will. When Maul and Ahsoka fought in Rebels, Maul mocked Ahsoka that she is "running away again", so it's alluding they never finished their duel at Mandalore, and it wasn't Maul who fled. I don't think Ahsoka's combat skills is inferior to Maul's by the end of the Clone Wars - she's Anakin's Padawan! The most logical reason their fight was interrupted and she was forced to retreat would be if Order 66 had been executed. We already know at least part of the Clone Wars is running in parallel with RotS, after all.
It’s confirmed that order 66 will be season 7 of clone wars and that this new season will be intertwined with episode 3. Some parts taking place at the same time. So I am also begging that this gets remade with the battle of mandalore

And that thing, obviously cutting down their friends who they’d fought battles with for years. Man... can’t even imagine what that must fee like
Tup’s death scene always kills me when he says, “The mission, you know the one, the one in our dreams...” And all the clones in the room look at each other, as if they know exactly what Tup is talking about. Also, I cry when Rex is holding Fives as he dies.
We might be getting a Boba Fett standalone movie, it wouldn't be a 501st Story but... There might be parts in the movie where it shows how Boba Fett interacts with his father (Jango Fett: the originator of the clones). Also be parts where Boba Fett gets to see the clones as well. Now wouldn't that be an awesome tale.

Not a word..." 9:18 ...For fuck's sake, that line always gives me chills. I dunno how, but that line just has so much... Gravity to it.
Wow. An amazing tribute. In the military I enjoyed a bond tighter than family and love for the brothers on my leafy and right that was greater than self preservation. I can only imagine what the bond would be like when you’re actually brothers.

Fathers and sons who were never able to go to their families!” He wanted to cry he to let it out. He knew what he did, all the lives he took. “Maybe... But you can change, I believe you can.” He felt the weight of those deaths on his back, like feathers, steel feathers maybe a hundred or more. Stretching out and constantly weighing him down.
The 501st remained intact, just a small portion of them left with Ahsoka. The rest, they became known as Vader's Fist and their ranks were gradually filled by normal (but well-trained) Stormtroopers.

Thank you once more HFP for another amazing video!
It, beside the EU, kept the franchise alive.

@@ninoperisi2210 I doubt Jango would know. Sidious doesn't seem like the type to just give out the key to his elimination of the Jedi to a simple Bounty Hunter.
@@LordVader1094 No, but Jango sure isn't stupid.
Callum Webb Oh you’re entirely right, still a pretty ingenious way of insuring loyalty
@@callumwebb4927 alot of the clones saw the Jedi are their brothers
they were as much their brothers as the clones beside them.
if they didn't introduce the inhibitor chips then it would have lead to not only a civil war among the clones but the entire republic would descend into civil war and Sidous plan would have fallen flat on it's face.
Pretty much, leaving something to chance is not something Sidious would do. Not in the case of an entire Clone army. Still killing your Jedi General friend almost instinctively and later realizing what you did....crazy PTSD.

what i honestly love about this is, is that it shows the aftermath of the clone wars, it also greatly humanises the clones, they suffered greatly, they may have been genetically created but they were still human, this is by far the best video I have saw on Star Wars, it blended so well and truly brought a sci-fi fiction legacy closer to reality, this is better than Hollywood, this is what you should pay your money for.

But that’s just my opinion

rex should say something like „we were friends i thought you couldnt do this what happened to you“

ABCDyeahyeah are they gonna incorporate that into the new season of tcw?
@Kace O'Neill the original before tcw got cancelled by Disney was to have order 66 in it and that the series would even go beyond that
I was on board with the siege of mandalore alone but I’d love to see order 66 and it’s aftermath.

HFP deserves all the praise in the world for this video, because thanks to their great work I'm rewatching the whole Clone Wars from the beginning.

Having the order 66 theme playing over fives death is so powerful. Thank you so much for making this. I can’t stop watching this video. It’s pure perfection. I can’t believe I didn’t discover this til now.
The victory of Return of the Jedi means so much more after the Prequels and the Clone Wars.
What about the Droid attack on the Wookiees?
He's right. It's a system we cannot afford to lose.
Go, I will. Good relations with the wookees, I have.
What about the inhibitor chip attack on the clones?
It's settled then, John DelZoppo will reinforce the wookiees on Kashyyk. May the force be with us all
What kind of nonsense is this, put me on the council and not make me a master? It's never be done in the history of the Jedi, it's insulting!
Ya know, the only time we had Clone Troopers be fleshed out before the Clone Wars was the Republic Commando series of books and hell, even the game. And it did great on it's own but sadly wasn't as popular to even the norm as compared to what this series accomplished.
OMG! The whole video was awesome, but the end was a masterpiece! 👍👍 Such a great video, dude! :)
10:55 I can imagine Rex defying Order 66 with this dialogue and facing off against Cody, his own brother. This hit me right in the feels 😭😭
CDR. Grae When Order 66 struck, Cody was on Utapau and Rex was on Mandalore. According to the Ahsoka novel, Rex has an empty grave on Mandalore, so it's possible they never even saw each other again after Order 66 as Rex disappeared into hiding.
Good Marines obey orders of the "officers appointed over them" A GREAT Marine defies those orders to "defend the constitution of the United States." When he knows those orders are wrong.
Man I hope you guys just saw the latest episode of the clone wars on Disney+. What an episode of Rex and Ahsoka
This was close but it wasn’t Cody going against Rex.
@Saima Riaz As you can clearly see, I posted that comment before the season was released and I had no idea that the show would retcon the Ahsoka novel.
