For anyone wondering what the difference is between the "Lite" and the standard version is: The "Standard" has everything from above plus: A second cable (usb A to usb C) and a rubber bumper to protect the aluminum case. Also included is a keychain fob with clasp.
the speed is mostly limited by the USB3.2 interface instead of the drive that said, you can put a "less fast" m.2 nvme in it and it will still run at similar speeds
I know this is way too late. How about the temperature of the enclosure is it the same like the orico which is hard to pick up due to extreme high heat?
When the light is on the case gets really hot, turn it off with aura light and it's a big difference, much cooler. I use mine with intel nuc and roon, I wish there was a way to turn off the light without the need of software.
I wish there was a way to select which lighting color you want on macbook :/ Mabye you could just plug this SSD enclosure into a friend's Windows computer & open Armoury Crate/Aura Sync to permanently configure/select the lighting color for use with Mac?
@@ulgn1964 I'm not sure if Aura Light is the name of another software or not but on Asus's official website it says "All Aura Sync Utility features are now part of Armoury Crate." so I would imagine you just search for the software Armoury Crate & download it. What do you think?
@@ulgn1964Fire Wolf Tech said that you can just connect the enclosure to the official Asus lighting software on a Windows computer & then permanently disable or change the color of the lights & that it stays in either of these configurations when you connect to a Mac. Do you believe this?
@@everettwinterlast8704 It dont, if i do this on my computer were i have the software installed and then connect to another computer or anything the lights go back to the standard settings, it needs the softwere to work, without the softwere you cant control the light and you can only change the light with the softwere running in the backround, if i turn the softwere off the light starts again in the default settings.
Does the enclosure have a rattling sound when the ssd is not installed? Just got mine and the back plate rattles when no ssd is inside. I was thinking of sending back. Is this normal?
@@masroorfaiyaz498 It rattled even when I used the heat pad that came with the enclosure. It bothered me at first. What I did is I bought a much thicker heat pad and that did the trick!
Yes but not to play Xbox Series games from, only Xbox One games. You need the specific SSD that plugs into the special port in the back of the Xbox to play Series X games.
@@KevinEvangelista bro i got the rack today with 2tb but my phone its not recognising it.. why ? Can you help me ? On my laptop it works perfectly. I have formatted the ssd on exFat
Yeah, I noticed! But that's alright, I didn't feel the need to send it back even though it's scratched. You definitely should if yours arrived scratched though!

Water resistance difference I heard?
@@daplebdatisplebby No, I would not put this near any kind of water. There is no gasket around the lid or case.
@@salcolonsc thanks
was looking for that info, thanks!
thanks!
HI. Just bought one recently. Does the back plate have a little rattle or is it completely fixed and well fitted?

The speed is limited by the ASMedia controller of the ROG ARION. The device is using USB 3.2 Gen 2x1
At 03:16 .. Was it used for other reviews or you pulled it out of the box already scratched ?
It's a media unit-- it's been used before.
@@KevinEvangelista Thanks!

Same question, I bet you also want this for ProRes mode?
Does the led display ssd activity?

I appreciate the ultra-wide aspect ratio.

@everettwinterlast8704 Doesn't work, you have to run it on a computer with aura light, the software control the light.

Yes! Just use a file explorer on the phone to do so-- I do this all the time on my S22 Ultra.
