I have one with preinstalled SSD. It didn't come with the rubber protector. How do it get it?

Because there are two version, the lite or regular. The regular should also come with a usb-c to USB A cable.

I purchased it some time ago and it get hot as hell and disconnect or het slow unexpectly sometimes when moving large files, i imagine because the temperature. The product looks good, but the performance is bad. It was a sad waste of money. Have someone tested this version ASUS TUF Gaming A1 External M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD Enclosure and this SSK Aluminum M.2 NVME SATA SSD Enclosure

I bought it after watching this video, I installed windows 10 on the built-in harddisk and I tried to download my games to this harddisk, but it constantly disconnects with the steam deck and reconnects. I connected it to an external dock, but this time the write speed dropped by 40mb sec.

Same happens to me, it really sucks. I just use it for my laptop and it disconnect and connect when moving a large file or doing backup.

Will this work with an M.2 NVME SSD with a factory installed heat sink like the WD_BLACK SN850?

I doubt it. The inside looks like it only has space for the nvme drive and some thermal pads. The case itself acts as the heatsink.
