Always ask the price first before eat in Jogja or just dont dine in places that dont put price tag on their menu, some people okay with the high price, some dont. If you ask the price first and okay with it you wont feel scammed bro... Be safe...

Even as an Indonesian, I wouldn't even dare to ride that kind of economic train (because of my height). You are so brave to choose the cheapest option train to Yogyakarta 😮

Just reserved executive class of argo train for more comfortable seats, with reasonable price.
Dont forget to ask the prices first before you order something

Turn left from the train station in Yogyakarta there is shower n locker where you can get the proper shower when you still can't check in to your hotel in the morning. The place very clean and provide the shower package (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste) and clean towel for you. If you need the hair dryer you can ask and no additional cost needed.

I dont think its scam. Gudeg can be a bit pricey because they use “ayam kampung” or local chicken/local breed chicken.
Which is more expensive compared to the chicken we ussually eat/meet in kfc/warung. The meat more chewier.

Every place has different prices. Ask the price first.... The more famous or the more the cuisine is passed down from generation to generation... The more expensive it is... It may not be a scam or it may depend on the region

Gudeg prices in Jogja, especially in touristy areas are like that, even for locals. However, you could always asked for the price first. Safe trip, pinsan! 🇮🇩🤝🇵🇭

The train itself have 3 type : Economic | Business | Executive. Yeah, so if you want to feel like more comfortable you can choose the executive but it is more pricey, kinda 380.000 rupiah - 700.000 rupiah.
Business train its more like economic but a bit better with the seat, and the seat not to face each other. Kinda like 200.000 rupiah - 350.000 rupiah
Inside the train you can buy food and drink also, but be careful about the price, the price inside the train can be markup, its okay if you wanna try but you should double check about the price. So i suggest you can buy in Indomaret / Alfamart or bring food outside the station. it is more cheaper than you buy inside the train. Be safe broo

Actually we have 2 kind of economy class train:
1.The economy class that subsidized by Indonesian govt. this is the cheapest actually, the sit arrangement is 2-3 (like the train in this video) & have non reclining sit. It's part of the Govt. PSO (Public Service Obligation).
    2. Economy class non subzidized, it's little bit more expensive but the sit arrangement will be 2-2 & can be reclined.

I've seen the resto on Google and they put pictures of the menu and prices. Seems like you chose the complete package which already cost 40 thousand. So it's not scamming and you probably the ones who lied.

      @FilVietBuddies  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

The picture on our thumbnail wasn’t the accurate one. We took it from google cuz we forgot to take a picture. We just got a piece of chicken, one boiled egg and coconut. Yes there were prices but it was our mistake because we didn’t ask her before eating. Then when we asked for the bill, she pointed the 47,000 A piece of chicken, one egg and coconut for 47,000 rupiah? Yet other food we ordered from other restaurants ranges 20,000 - 25,000 rupiah and the portion was a lot, so that’s why we think we got scammed

The face to face chair in economy class train is not convenient .. you should try business class train or sleeper bus..

Reasonable price actually, but maybe gudeg is not suitable with your palate, try another place and you'll see that the price for a complete course is about in the same range, around 40 thousand IDR or even more whether it is a famous place or the unpopular one. Usually people only choose the gudeg with egg, it will only cost around 20 thousand for the incomplete course

8:58 That traditional food from Jogja bro, it's called "Gudeg" and the taste is suppose to be sweet.
Personally i don't like it taste, but i don't hate it. It just is what it is.
After watching your vlog i try to search how much is the normal prize for gudeg, i don't want to show it here but just search: 'harga gudeg seporsi'.
Like if we eat in some fast food chain gudeg also have some packet/ combo. And from the picture i assume u get 'Paket Gudeg Komplit' (Complete) and i think it the most expensive 1 because u get chicken drum, egg, and 'Krecek'..

Yogja is soooo overrated, I was there once and it's not nice at all. It's not even that interesting, it's not save and kinda slummy.
