1000 % improvement for traffic safety on highways = rearview mirror. I like the sunglass mount. Its a bit fiddle-ie but once you have it dialed in you can track each car that approaches from the rear and ascertain their avoidance of you. Ride in the middle of the lane and then when they move to give you space go back to the right side of the white line or bail out to the ditch if they are not going to move around you.
I love this. You guys are a great team. I get the being out on your own but there is nothing like sharing an adventure like this with someone important to make memories. Thanks for sharing this with us

You inspired me to "seriously" ride again some 40 some odd yrs later, so I met up with a childhood friend and together rode the Seagull 100 in MD this year, (of which I posted a video on TH-cam) after several months training. I thought the monotony of riding on suburban roads became almost tougher than the distance itself, and this video series is brewing some ideas for our next venture! Maybe I or (we) will see you on the trails of the Southwest somewhere! Thanks for your inspiration!

I have spent a lot time in AZ and those main roads are 60 or 65 mph. I completely understand how scary ridding can be. I am glad the adventure is continuing with John and Muira. The relationship you have with Muria is so infectious. And I am happy that you and John continue forge these bonds.

I have ridden that stretch of highway you rode several times before. I did it as part of a relay ride called the Salt To Saint. I’ve actually only ever done it at about 5 in the morning. And yes, I can confirm that stretch of highway is hectic as you say. It seems like every car that passes you buzzes you way faster than the speed limit. There’s nothing out there so people just want to fly through there as fast as they can.
Thanks! Man, I don't like living near, or recreating near high tension power lines. And I never liked the taste of coffee. I prefer natural, organic, leaf tea. Today it's chamomile and lavender with raw honey.
