Did you know that Australia was recently ranked the 6th best country to travel by long-distance bike travellers? 🦘 I made a video about the other top-10 countries here: th-cam.com/video/tu_abG1PxQI/w-d-xo.html
I really enjoyed your impressions of our country. Could I point out a bias that came through your narrative? The first peoples of Australia are diverse from around 150 nations, and as such, if you think of these nations like Europe. When you say comments like Ayers Rock or Uluru is a very important site for Indigenous people, this is only an accurate saying for the local mob. That site is like saying the Coliseum is important to the French just because they are European. Again, I really loved this video and found it very respectful just wanted to add to the learning journey we are all on. Well done guys
Alee -- the most truest ambassador for bike touring. What a fantastic and epic video. I'm not even halfway through and just can't believe how incredible this is. I've been riding for over 20 years, toured thousands of miles and have built over 50 of my own bikes. I consider myself an expert in all things bike related-- but you are my expert and one of the very, very few that I really take seriously when it comes to touring and all info related to it. What a gift for all of us to have you share your knowledge and expierence. Thank you!
I ran out of sleep at around 03:30am and I went to TH-cam, bumped into this video and had to watch it all. Absolutely awesome! Let me finish my remaining 2 hours of sleep. Much love from South Africa. 🇿🇦
Alee, your filming, editing and story telling skills are stellar. This was far more enjoyable than most documentary films I have watched. I was spellbound through the whole presentation. The worlds largest rock in the evening sun was spectacular. There is good chemistry between you and your lady friend. You both are truly blessed. Thanks for sharing this epic adventure.
Your spirit/soul and espirit de adventura is A MA Z I N G. Love the violins and piano, the focus on sky light and your appreciation to the aboriginal culture. At 78 I've been car free for over 10 yrs, now ride a recumbent trike from ICE / UK. Aloha / Hilo
The best bicycle travelogue I've watched, period. Amazing visuals, skillful editing, mindful music and masterful narration. This is going to inspire tons of people to go on bike touring, just like it did for me. Thank you for this video Alee. Thank you for showing us Australia like never seen before and for capturing the joy of bike-touring!
Found your show by accident and just give it a go. Great job guys 47.21mins and didn't skip a bit. Love the fact that you guys are so positive in everything that comes across. Love it, deserve a subscribe :)
If ever I can, I will only go to Australia and bike around for 2-3 months. Its a wonderful sight, thank you guys for taking me along such a nice journey.
This has been one of the best balanced videos I have ever seen. Just the right amount of every activity. Love the bikes. Thank you for an outstanding video. Take care, Al
I watched this two years ago. And today, feeling worn down by concern over the conflicts going on around the world, and of those responsible for them, lead to thinking of a time when some one somewhere was living my dream. And here I am back, two years later enjoying the momments you guys filmed of a wonderful ,and dare I say it: a Sublime Journey, from the comfort of my office chair. And once again, I Thank you both !
You both are a real team with an adventurous Spirit. This filming is very impressive showing many angles and details and the beauty of the Australia outback. Thank you, cheers from Oregon USA.
the feeling of happiness and excitement are contagious by watching this piece of art, cheers mates for making this incredible video! good on ya cobber!
Love your freeze frames of the swooping magpie...they are wonderful birds and have a brilliant memory for faces. Once you befriend them they never forget and won't swoop you.
I'm sick with the flu in bed right now aka not riding my bike :-( and your video popped out of no where on my feed and I'm glad it did. What an incredible journey you two did. Those drone shots make Earth look like an alien planet!
I watch a lot of cycling videos and yours are among my favorites. Your quiet personality reflects in the tone of your movies, there's a feeling of going slow but at the same time we get a lot of information in a short time. I think you alwayd carefully select what you deem worthy of saying or showing. And now your companion adds that bit of uplifting energy that maybe was lacking. You definitely opened my eyes on the beauty and diversity of an Australian traverse by bike, which I imagined as mostly boring with its long streches of straight, flat roads. Top notch video
I was so inspired by the video that I went and got my specialized crossroads 2.0 out of storage last night so I can ride it in a little bit :) Been a while and just moved, so my body sore, so I have to take it easy, which is hard since I live on a steep mountain so any riding nearby means big hills
Epic ride and beautifully shot. I can't believe you did the Donahue Hwy . . . That is heroic! I've head the good fortune to drive around and across Australia several times and run birding tours over much of it and I never tire of watching these kinds of fabulous adventures. I love this land so much and your video has only stoked that love and got me looking so much forward to my next sojourn through the outback. Thank you so much.
I wasn't sure, if I could watch the entire video because of my low attention span, but I just couldn't stop. What a landscape. And thank you for respecting the native population and their wishes.
Fantastic views and breathtaking scenery. Epic editing and voice over. World class musical scoring. You sir and mam are gifted legends. From halfway across the world...Thank you for what you do.
WOOWWW!!! Really cool video.... the landscape, the background music, the positive energy from both of you, the info about Australia, the animals, the birds, the insects, the swimming holes... KONA, PRIORITY, all L O V E L Y !!! All the best and happy rides!!! : )
This was a beautiful trip with fantastic pictures. Thanks for taking us allong. It gives the feeling that you have to grab your bike and start riding right away. Greetings from Switzerland!
Wow! What a marvellous trip! You made it a pleasure to spend 45 minutes peddling on my rollers while imagining riding the Outback. A wonderful video with great camera work and commentary. I liked the tech side of the trip at the end as well. How the bikes stood up to the roads, those tires are exceptional and good to see how much water one carries and how much and what kinds of foods you need for keeping it all together.
Alee, I am not much of a cyclist but I watched your videos. You are one hell of a content creator. You narrate well. You have a distinct tone, much like David Attenborough and Iain Stewart have their own unique thing. Great job, Boss!
Apologies in advance,, you both inspire self to bike back. I was in tears 😢 😭 🤧 forward of being hit by a motor vehicle whilst cycling 🚲 I'm forever different. Afterwards, my bikes got so dusty, dry rot tires, spider webs and more just in the Garage over two (2) years 2020. It's a lot mentally plus physically to BOUNCE FORWARD. Between receiving Acupcture Treatments plus Massage Therapy. Awaiting Aqua Therapy. EXIGENT I BOUNCE FORWARD. Thanks A Lot for sharing this. I personally appreciate this. CYCLIST FOR LIFE 💚💚💚
Love your inner fire and curiosity. You will look back at this in the decades to come and say, I have never changed and will continue to try different things.
This is one of my favorite adventure videos in a long time! Such amazing camera work and looks like so much fun! Definitely looks like a rout to add to the list of "casual" bike tours! Great content mate!
I saw randomly this video and i watched. It shows many things also everyone understand and see different things, i love the videos like this one and i hope for myself make trip like this one and lastly good luck guys!!
What an epic journey. Well done. I did some cycling out and around Uluru, to Kings Canyon and around Alice Springs earlier this year (2022) and your video brought back some very pleasant memories of my experience. Outback Australia is truly one of the best cycling experiences I have had. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, what an amazing journey!!! From my old home town Townsville to! In October this year I drove from my home in the Blue Mountains to Brisbane, up to Winton and did the same jpurney to Alice via the Plenty Highway, then after the Red Centre came back by the Madigan Line /Hay River/QAA Line across Simpson Desert. But you did this journey to Alice on Mountain bikes!!! Wow. I mean WOW!! What an adventure! Cycling is great! 🙂 I look forward to your next adventure!
What a wonderful video, I had the privilege of riding the route during the 2019 Race to the Rock, your video brings more perspective of the beauty and the harshness of the land that I have often traversed at night, missing out on many sights that you showed on the video. Well done, well put together! 👍 Dale Tan
Thank you for a beautiful and thoughtful film 🙂 I was avoiding editing my own next episode and clicked on it whilst having some lunch... It's a very boring area imho, but you did a great job sharing your adventures and of bringing it to life. It inspired me to edit for another 5 hours and as a reward I'm off to cycle in the beautiful hills around me in Portugal. Thanks! I look forward to watching some of your other films.... I've spent 7 years driving aorund Africa, but am looking to do a trip by cycle... hopefully see you on the road!
Very very impressive capture of a journey and the land. I've done much the same trip by car... But not without a puncture! Camping in the middle of the bush is great to absorb the vastness. Your drone helped convey that.
Inspiring. Great presentation. Definitely a bucket list item. I'm thinking of doing the National Trail in future. Please do it and make a great video of it!
Just discovered your trip. Fantastic viewing. We are planning something similar from adelaide, haven't toured since 2012,a little older now but have to do it! Feels a bit scary but seeing you both gives me courage...thanks😊
This is great for so many reasons and it feels particularly good to watch it on a cold, rainy day. Also great choice of music, especially the guitar bits!
Inspiring stuff guys, thanks for sharing! The outback is just so beautiful, can't wait to get back there next year. And now you've given me more ideas on exploring these areas
Love everything about this adventure, good job! Everything from the start of the blog its all quality work. The entire video is all throughout amazing!!! Amazing. Thank you and congrats and I hope you don’t mind me saying how nice it is to watch a cycle video without any moaning about headwinds, bugs etc.
Very nice and interesting video. I have experience from many cycling trips mainly in Europe. For me the most astonishing thing: You guys seem so relaxed during the trip. Even with the hard conditions like dirt roads, heat, head winds...
Thank you. One of your best videos yet, AND it tells the story of a trip across Australia. You captured a feel for the vast distances between our iconic tourist monuments. Since Covid-19 I've decided just to bikepack here in Oz. There is plenty to see and lots of off-road kilometres to experience. I put Nobby Nics on my wife's bike (tubeless) and she is yet to have a puncture too.
As a hobby cyclist here in the Philippines, I can only admire how courteous vehicle drivers are to cyclists. And yeah, just subbed to you guys. Cheers and Merry Christmas! -- Ian

Yes, but it was in 2007 or 2008!
Well, that makes it a must do for this Yankee.

Agreed 👍
A minute in and I knew this wasn't just another TH-cam video... this is special. This is one to re-watch again and again.
I want to just quit work, buy a plane to Australia and ride😊
First time watching your channel. This definitely is worth an Australian Film Award.

This unpaved road looks smoother than the paved roads in my country, Greece.
haha, same for Boston, U.S!

Wow, thanks!
I never thought Australias Outback could be so beautiful and sustain such wonderful wildlife
I live and work in the outback. I can tell you now, Australia is a wonderful country
And the flies you see she wears a net and they plaster to your body , i worked in the gas fields in central Aus in the 70s . Millions .
Wow. So moved by the beauty and magnitude of this trip. Takes your breath away.

Those drone shots, Alee... look scary. So vast! Well done, you two :) Sending big hug from all 4 of us!
Incredible scenery and filmmaking, along with the usual beautiful soundtrack. Always a great day when a new video gets released!
Inspiring! I did a lap of Australia by car in three months with two friends 35 years ago. I'd love to do it by bicycle,
I love your positive outlook and tasteful commentary. I find your words inspiring to be more appreciative and thankful. Cheers man!

I look forward to watching some of your other films.... I've spent 7 years driving aorund Africa, but am looking to do a trip by cycle... hopefully see you on the road!
*adds the Australian Outback to cycling bucket list*
Great job! I felt like I was riding along with you.

Thank you. One of your best videos yet, AND it tells the story of a trip across Australia. You captured a feel for the vast distances between our iconic tourist monuments. So beautiful!
It brought back memories from the Australian outback - a very special place!
what amazes me is that you two are not sweating.....i haven't seen a single time of it
As a hobby cyclist here in the Philippines, I can only admire how courteous vehicle drivers are to cyclists.
And yeah, just subbed to you guys.
Cheers and Merry Christmas!
